It's never NOT going to bother me that they fuck over an AI lifeform by ABANDONING her for A THOUSAND YEARS for NO FUCKING REASON And SOMEHOW the AI doesn't turn against humanity for it I sure would've wanted revenge
You know the writers hate Star Trek when instead of building on existing lore, they just steel from other Sci Fi shows. This isn't the first time STD had done this, SNW is doing the same.
Think the implication was that it wasn't affected by gravity, atmospheric pressure, shearing or compressing forces, also hovering in place. The external diameter was indeed a perfect sphere.
I Think Disney invaded Paramount executives ala Invasion of the Body Snatchers and hive-minded this tragedy from every email ever sent to Paramount as an idea for a new hyper trek, hyper diverse, hyper sexual, hyper Klingon....scratch that - I replace 'hyper' with 'trans'.
I used to watch Sphere over and over. Back in the day before streaming it was one of my first DVDs back in the 90’s. Sphere , Alien 3 and eventually the Phantom Menace. I still haven’t seen Star Trek discovery.
I watched all five seasons, and I still don't remember 98% of the characters' names or any memorable episode. I only remember the stupidest and grossest thing from it!
Elliot Goldenthal wrote great scores for Sphere and Alien 3. (John Williams' complete score for Phantom Menace is as good as any of the original trilogy scores, too.)
I know people say the book is better, and a remake is probably due that is more accurate, but I liked Sphere. lol It was an interesting sci-fi film to me as a kid.
Sphere, Timeline, Prey, the Jurrasic Parks. Crichton had some legit bangers lol, just cause it made it to airport level popularity doesn't mean its automatically bad. I member when Terry Pratchett novels were in the airport.
@@animateddepression so TNG didn't take everything, duh! The concept of Enemy Mine was used, BTW, Stargate SG1 did the same concept as Enemy Mine with Daniel Jackson and an Unas

I still can't get over Burnham's pathological smile when she says "You wait".
Why does it feel like Sonequa Martin-Green is revealing her true self with those words??
@@titovalasques Because she is. She's just that stupid...
They probably also stole from Flight of the Navigator 1986.
Watching Sonequa Martin-Green and Anthony Rapp trying to pretend that they can act is _painful..._
Really going off that old adage “steal from the best”
Should have made Samuel Jackson the captain.
Kurtzman would've made him suck just like Burnham.
BECUUSE.... I'M THE GODT DAMN CAPTAIN!"
Nah, we needed Quentin Tarantino. Discovery was basically the USS Dead N….. Storage.

That and all the plagiarism shows they have no originality, no hack talents. They're riding on the fame of Trek.
It’s not a perfect sphere! It’s got all those ripples! We can _see_ the ripples!
perfectly spherical ripples

That musical scene is rip-off from Close enounters of third kind !
Does star trek discovery suck as much as it looks like it does.
No―it is even worse than you could ever imagine...

You will live a longer and happier life...and proper.

The book is much better than the movie.
I know people say the book is better, and a remake is probably due that is more accurate, but I liked Sphere. lol
It was an interesting sci-fi film to me as a kid.
FFS this is the most terrible written shit ive seen! WTF??
That’s just not fair.
STD wasn’t adapted from a reasonably decent potboiler techno-thriller you bought at the airport.
Sphere, Timeline, Prey, the Jurrasic Parks. Crichton had some legit bangers lol, just cause it made it to airport level popularity doesn't mean its automatically bad. I member when Terry Pratchett novels were in the airport.
Liev had a similar voice to Q in Sphere
Boring discovery 😴 😒
Ideas in the first season including character design and the living warp drive were literally stolen from a video game....
"different pitches ellicit different responses"
was followed by the "i mean come on 🌈🌟" jingle from arrested development season 4
I see no similarities here. 🤦♂ No, both have similarities with logic and science.
I would have to actually watch Discovery to judge this, but seems legit
I’m really not seeing it that much.🧐 Rather weak this time Grin.👎🏻
So basically ST Discovery is a rip of different movies.
Jerry! Jerry! Jerry! Not Springer. 😛
not like ds9 was a rip off of babylon 5.
DS9 was the worst Star Trek show until NuDreak. That's how bad NuDreak is, it makes DS9 look good.
F1rst!
you get nothing!
-Willy Wonka
So! The Next Generation ripped off Enemy Mine with Picard and an alien.
Star Trek always ripped off other sci-fi

Capt Dathon didn’t shit out a baby.

Boring.
Do the Kurtzman regime VS "Idiocracy" movie! Oh wait, Idiocracy was pretty good. Great video!
