I usually like to leave the park through the side entrance and eat at Famous Dave’s by the marina and then keep an eye out for when they start running the roller coasters.

Thanks for sharing your delightful adventure at Cedar Point. I only live an hour away, but haven't been there in over 20 years. I recently bought a Gold Pass and I'm looking forward to going a few times this year and I'll be going many times in 2022. I'm not much into aggressive coasters anymore, and I mainly bought my pass to provide me unlimited parking, as I'm primarily going there for the beach to enjoy metal detecting. Lol. Unless I was misinformed, it's my understanding that Cedar Point still doesn't have actual changing rooms. Is that true? You'd think with all the splashy rides and also the Waterpark attractions, they'd provide guests with facilities to change-out their wet clothing. I'm going go have to figure how to get out of a wetsuit and into my dry clothes and they told me on the phone I'll have to change in the restrooms. That's crazy, huh? 🤪

Thank you for watching - we are glad you enjoyed the video! Thankfully there are now many things to do besides the coasters, but that is a great idea! The beach is often forgotten, but totally worth it! I believe there are changing rooms in Cedar Point Shores which you would have access to with your gold pass. Perhaps you could use the restrooms in the hotel as well - may be a little bit cleaner than the beach ones and ones inside the park! That is something they need to work on for sure!

@@Alongfortheridetv - Thank you for the kind reply. So, in your reply, you mentioned they have bathrooms on the beach. Are the beach bathrooms real bathrooms with stalls or Porta Potties? Are the beach bathrooms scattered abroad or only at the hotel end of the beach? Do those beach bathrooms have private stalls? I just don't want to be changing and have some youngster walk in and go blind. 👀

There are large restrooms on the beach next to Sandbar. Also, go inside Hotel Breakers plenty of restrooms open to public.
FYI your gold pass is good NOW. Its Halloweekends and if you only live an hour away head up. Plenty to enjoy besides rides.

They are full sized restrooms. Have gone up staying at Breakers soon to be 5 times this season so guarantee you full size single private restrooms

@@kittiew260 Thanks. I'll definitely get some use out of the pass very soon. Now, the restrooms next to Sandbar, do you know if those would be open while the Waterpark is closed?

Can you still ride roller coasters in the rain as long as it's only rain and not lightning?

    • @Alongfortheridetv

It depends on the ride, but generally yes. We have had quite a few times where we ended up on a coaster in the pouring rain. But the rain sure does hurt when you are going super fast 🤣

@Alongfortheridetv I went to Cedar Point on a day when it was on and off rain and I thankfully got 8 roller coaster rides in and I rode a few other flat rides.

So when it rains you just take a break indoors and eat some food or check out a show. That's how it should be!!! Six Flags needs to learn a lesson from this. Six Flags fucking shuts the entire park down for the day as soon as there's a sprinkle. I'm not even exaggerating. I was at six flags new england last week, and it was literally a LIGHT drizzle on and off, and they decided to close the park at 2pm "for inclement weather". So I looked at the forecast for the rest of the day, and not only was the rain NOT supposed to get heavier, but the rain was supposed to STOP by 4pm! And it did! All that happened was it drizzled for a couple hours (no thunderstorms), and then the sun came out for the rest of the day. But nope! inclement weather, gotta shut it down!!! Two hours of light on and off drizzle in the afternoon which then clears up into sun isn't exactly what I call inclement weather. And that wasn't the only time that's happened. I've noticed that several six flags parks do the same thing. Without warning, they just close the whole park early, as soon as there's as much as a raindrop. I wrote to them and complained about this, explaining how it doesn't make sense, and all they could come back with is "We close during inclement weather for everyone safety". 🤦. No, it's because they aren't making enough money when there's low attendence, so they decide to shut it down. THAT is obviously the real reason they do that. They're not fooling anyone! Anyway, I'm glad to hear cedar point doesn't pull that crap, because if I take a weekend off to travel all the way there, I'd be so pissed if they closed the park over a little drizzle.

Oh no! That sounds awful. We haven’t been to Six Flags yet, but will definitely keep an out on the weather before trying to plan. Cedar Point really does a nice job of giving you things to do even in the rain. Thanks for watching!

@@Alongfortheridetv from what I've heard, Cedar Fair is a much nicer company than Six Flags, as far as how they run things and the overall guest experience. Seems like much more reasonable prices too! I was pleasantly shocked when I checked the price of a day ticket to Cedar Point. I was expecting it to be much more, for how massive of a coaster destination it is. And I heard they even have some kind of a bundle which includes parking and food for the day, apparently?
