Flawed as it may be in certain aspects, this series still holds a special place in my heart for introducing me to this wonderful genre of art and entertainment. Indisputable, however, is the quality of this series’s music. Bar none some of the most impactful and weighted music emotionally that I’ve ever had the pleasure of listening to. Also, holy shit, when this came out I was in grade 5 or 6 and now I just turned 21 this March. Go figure, if this were actually happening and we were in SAO, it would’ve only been about 5 months… out of two years. That’s wild to think about, lol.
I come back to this, among other songs, and realize how long i have been a fan/subscribed. I remember i was a freshman in high school going full weeb and one night wondered if someone made a crossing field cover because I loved SAO sooo soo much at the time and found this gem. I remember listening to it non stop and thought to myself you had an awesome voice. I took a break from anime and well that side of my life but when i came back to anime this was the first thing i searched up and made me so happy to hear it and see how far you went over 3 years. I doubt you'll see this and other commenters won't care but you are awesome and i hope you keep making more covers and original music!

@@heatwave7543 in order of creation SAO Prpgressive is a light novel, then a manga, then an anime. The anime will follow the light novel, which dives deeper into the characters, the world, and the story. It gives Asuna an actual characterization instead of keeping her as a damsel.

Am I the only one who actually ENJOYS this anime? It had everything an anime should have, romance, action, & drama. I especially enjoyed the romance cause I'm a freak, do admit got a little scared when I found out sugu was about to fuck her "brother", but it's cool. It had some nice plot twists, showed many emotions, even though I wish it showed more information on characters such as Agil, he barely got an episode with Kirito. Anyways I really liked this anime and brings up to mind that a VRMMORPG could be possible with technology growing rapidly nowadays. 10/10, some flaws but not some.

Twilight can be alright when you're in the mood. It is what it is: a crappy, trashy vampire romance novel. It's not the best read in the world, but I've read - and finished - worse professionally published works. Of course, I've also read things that should be published but sadly are not. But you're mostly right. Nearly everything is better than Twilight.

It sucks because the developers cut SAO so extremely short and skipping over a vast arrange of details that shouldn't of been ignored. It makes no sense business wise at all as it cuts seasons from the show and because it ruins it anyway.
I'm going to have to be the devil's advocate as well as a realist here. This is a good dub. However, it doesn't meet the 100% quality of the original. Besides, other anime (excluding Shounen Jump stuff like Naruto) have gotten poor results from dubbed music. Ouran Highschool Hostclub got flamed. Haruhi was kind of forced to because of the situation, but I digress. There's all kind of reasons this couldn't be the OP, especially because it's not licensed as BotCRyMann88 said. I'm also a bit biased towards wanting the Japanese version. The music is one thing from the original that should not be touched. They're in Japan, using chopsticks, practicing kendo... it can't be fully westernized any way you look at it. But that is just my two cents.
A company (like Funimation for example) can only dub opening, endings, and inserts if they have the legal rights to do so. They would also need rights to the original instrumentals or a close recreation to achieve it. Leaving the original songs allows for promotion of the artist outside of Japan. The one trouble a lot of overseas companies have when dealing with Japanese companies and sub companies are the audio rights.
though it would be cool if this was the official dub they would probably change it, ruin it, and make it unpopular. Plus I like it when fan-dubber stay on YT that way they aren't influenced by a lot of people like you see with famous stars such as Miley Cyrus or Justin Beiber. Although with peer pressure sure that may happen but not on a national or international level so to say.

Am I the only one who actually ENJOYS this anime? It had everything an anime should have, romance, action, & drama. I especially enjoyed the romance cause I'm a freak, do admit got a little scared when I found out sugu was about to fuck her "brother", but it's cool. It had some nice plot twists, showed many emotions, even though I wish it showed more information on characters such as Agil, he barely got an episode with Kirito. Anyways I really liked this anime and brings up to mind that a VRMMORPG could be possible with technology growing rapidly nowadays. 10/10, some flaws but not some.

It sucks because the developers cut SAO so extremely short and skipping over a vast arrange of details that shouldn't of been ignored. It makes no sense business wise at all as it cuts seasons from the show and because it ruins it anyway.

They used the Japanese version because this isn't official, as well produced as it is.
I'm going to have to be the devil's advocate as well as a realist here.
This is a good dub. However, it doesn't meet the 100% quality of the original.
Besides, other anime (excluding Shounen Jump stuff like Naruto) have gotten poor results from dubbed music. Ouran Highschool Hostclub got flamed. Haruhi was kind of forced to because of the situation, but I digress.
There's all kind of reasons this couldn't be the OP, especially because it's not licensed as BotCRyMann88 said.
I'm also a bit biased towards wanting the Japanese version. The music is one thing from the original that should not be touched. They're in Japan, using chopsticks, practicing kendo... it can't be fully westernized any way you look at it.
But that is just my two cents.

A company (like Funimation for example) can only dub opening, endings, and inserts if they have the legal rights to do so. They would also need rights to the original instrumentals or a close recreation to achieve it.
Leaving the original songs allows for promotion of the artist outside of Japan. The one trouble a lot of overseas companies have when dealing with Japanese companies and sub companies are the audio rights.
though it would be cool if this was the official dub they would probably change it, ruin it, and make it unpopular. Plus I like it when fan-dubber stay on YT that way they aren't influenced by a lot of people like you see with famous stars such as Miley Cyrus or Justin Beiber. Although with peer pressure sure that may happen but not on a national or international level so to say.
Hear me out, I know sao has a lot of haters, and I get it. But not only was it my first anime, but it captured my imagination and showed us all an amazing story. Will always be on of my favorites
