The fatigue bartering thing makes sense. imagine trying to make a deal with someone who is hopelessly out of breathe and sweating uncontrollably
But on a gameplay perspective its silly
@@joelsweeney4024 Well it certainly is different.
I find it quite refreshing actually
Immersion at its finest
perfect example of "realistic" not meaning good
They are so desperate for a rest they would accept any offer you give them
Idk whats more hilarious, Morrowinds female Nord "AWOOOOOO" or Oblivions elf "AIEEEYAAAAA" battle cry
The female Nord yell sounds like a wolf howling lol
Oblivion for sure
Yeah, its reeeeeally immersion breaking for a game that doesnt really have much immersion so begin with lol
I like that one redguard in Oblivion during the quest Whodunit (Dark Brotherhood) AAAAAAAIIIIEEEEE!!!
Lol dont they all die a little extra in that mission?
I just love that not taking the limeware platter is a running joke now
My boomer eyes misread that as Limewire and not Limeware.
Now we need a mod that renames and retextures the limeware to limewire and have them play bootleg midi files.
wastes half the video selling crap, but won't take something valuable to sell
Taking that plate should only be done after the tutorial is over.
Fite me.
@@Incognito-gh5qi Making static objects play a noise can be difficult in morrowind if it's not a torch. But the rest is a 5 minute mod in the construction kit.
TES6 needs Afliqs.
yo did you know that if you upload with low fatigue you'll get less likes??
@Winston Jagger dude I tried this and my girlfriend immediately started seeing my mom. What did you do.
@@Turian_Hustle shit m9, my Grandpa just pwned my Sister, Wow!
@Winston Jagger Cool i dont know if you give a damn but tomorrow i shit in your mailbox WOOOOOOW 💯💯💯💯💯💯

"I've fought mudcrabs tougher than you" - Imperial guard who obviously played the hardcore mod
Whenever I heard that I assumed dude fought some Mudcrab emperor that legit WAS stronger than me.
mudcrabs? what's the point.
horrible beasts. but he meat isn't bad
Mudcrabs in Hardcore Mode:
Ive fought Nords more fearsome than you!

Low fatigue effects absolutely everything. But funny enough, fortifying your fatigue above the maximum also effects everything and you actually become better than whatever your base stats are. Pump it up with some fortify spells and it can make up for not investing in a skill, good for when you need to intimidate someone but forgot to major in speechcraft.
Push it high enough and once you've got like 12,000/100 fatigue you can survive falling from a scroll of icarian flight because the game is horribly confused and assumes you have 12000 acrobatics.
Morrowind is a technical marvel.
on the other hand, just use potions that train your skills for extra cheap training.
A technical marvel? Nah, the game is completely broken. But it also doesn't pull any punches and those broken systems work against you. Unless you use them yourself. At which point you can destroy the heart without the tools by just doing more damage than the health reset can restore.
Or you just use a command spell and take the heart on a tour.
"You have a dagger and I have iron armor."
-A French knight shortly before he was swarmed by angry peasants
"Hon Hon look at zose ztupid english, theyre right there across zat muddy field, LETS GO GET ZEM."
The most people killed in full plate armor were actually probably killed with daggers bc the daggers could fit in between the plates and wielded more quickly than swords
@@dennisdanner4273 Maces and warhammers were also very effective tools to take down soldiers in full plate armour
@@dennisdanner4273 Aye but france ditched plate armour by the age of the french revolution

I keep hearing "Herd-core", and thinking of a heavy metal shepherd moshing next to his flock.
Bows in Morrowind have a deadzone in melee range. The arrow is spawned as an entity which is then "shot". If you're too close, the arrow spawns on the other side of the target and they take no damage.
That's why that NPC with the bow wasn't hitting you once you got close.
in some way that actually reinforces the thought that bows are useless up close, even in a technically weird way.
RUclips recommended you to me and all my friends, and we're all subbed now. We've never collectively all been so on-board with a new and upcoming youtuber before. You're doing this thing right, Mr. D. Can't wait to see where you go from here!
Here before 1M subs club
lmao Mr.D
It was the Dagoth at your door vid of his that appeared in my feed that got my attention. Great upcoming channel.
@@CorvoFG same for me
pre 6k subs gang, n’wahs get out
Mr. D is now the canonical, proper name for this channel.
Fatigue effect really almost EVERYTHING I found out.
Lockpicking, armourer, enchanting, alchemy, barter, speech and whatnot
If I remember right it effects literally everything with a dice roll, except maybe random loot. I'm not sure if it adds dice to the pool or if it makes the dice bigger to have your stamina full, but I'm fairly sure it's one of the two.
Yes it is
"Why ride when you can walk?"
You see those warriors from Hammerfell? They’ve got curved swords. Curved. Swords.
@@WindveilGT I didn't see any curved sword last I was in Hammerfell. Yes, it was only the northern portion, but it still counts
@@WindveilGT The mandatory skybaby.
@@Vedlom My dude, do not be so quick to judge. Who knows if he is indeed a Skybaby? And what if he is? I mean, I guess he is fueling the watering down of RPG´s and games in general, but perhaps he is only looking for a casual experience, and does not consider himself to be a fan, or have interest in playing other ES. Perhaps he has played other ES and has decided to take the mantle of a Windhelm guard (let´s just hope he isn´t aligned with the Stormcloaks))
@@thatrandomcrit5823 TES
I just wanted to add that Fatigue affects a lot more than bartering and combat. Not only does it affect the chance to successfully cast a spell, but it affects your chance to successfully brew potions, enchant items, pick locks or persuade people, as well as quite a few other things.
Ok I can understand those they make sense for realism but God damn do those mechanics make morrowind extremely hard for people who aren't used to it
@@Dovah_Slayer Oh yeah, completely agreed. Imagine my frustration when I played it as a kid, not understanding the depth of the mechanics. I'm sure a lot of other people had very much the same experience, too.
@@arrestedeffort that was my experience when I first tried morrowind (it didn't help that I also didn't understand the way the difficulty worked) I eventually got so frustrated I put the game down and haven't tried it again
@@arrestedeffort You can make it far without knowing this, but bare in mind this is from the game guide era where there was profit incentive for developers not to teach players stuff so someone frustrated enough goes out of their way to buy a game guide or rent one at a library.
@@Logan-zp8bi Yeah, that certainly might have been a factor as to why it wasn't really explained well in-game. I remember back then that physical game guides were very common in stores. I even had a somewhat sizable collection myself. In the days where a reliable connection to the internet wasn't as ubiquitous as it is now, those guides were very handy, if a tad bit overpriced.
Next video: Jiub and Ergalla's faces have been replaced with the Limeware Platter. Micky still doesn't take it.
Every NPC is a sentient Limeware Platter.
Everyone chill until all the enemies talk about how they are gods and you can’t kill them
What a grand and Intoxicating innocence. How could you be so naive?
@Driver Nephi I'm a god how can you kill a god?
Hmmmmm...
Shame on you
So nobody noticed micky just increased the size of Limeware platter into a fucking wall just to ignore it and flex on us? This is why he is the best.
More like the limeware wallplaster
I got this mod a while back. Mod-creator is a very chill dude. I reported a couple bugs, and he fixed them right away. He is constantly fine-tuning the mod, and honestly, I'd have a hard time going back to vanilla Morrowind. The changes just make the game more enjoyable.
Everyone in that dungeon;
"Never shoulda come here!"
A man could wish for a long playthrough with this mod
"I don't need the colovian fur helmet"
How dare you
PS: resting is also OP in real life
I guess it's harder to negociate if your character is out of breath (because you know, speaking is hard when you can't breathe)
The easiest way to look at it is that fatigue affects most actions in Morrowind, there's definitely fewer things that aren't affected by it in comparison. 😅
Not to mention it's a signal to the merchant that you're an inexperienced adventurer and probably desperate for money... that or they could assume you're a Skooma addict, trying to get your next fix. Either way... you'll take what you can get :P
Holy shit, I grew up with morrowind, played it dozens of times and have a routine of all the neat little secrets and things to do to starting out with in Seyda Neen, yet I never knew about the Shardaxe until you just casually jumped to it.
Noob.
@@ufc990 Oh noes. :(
Literally same. Didn't know it was there til I watched Micky
@@Bubbasmack1 I've found it by accident and thought it might be a mod that adds it there, but no, that's base game. And this is what I LOVE about Morrowind: so many unexpected items, secret stashes, hidden NPCs, etc. You might never find them unless you are paying attention, just like in real life.
I did know about the axe but there is also an enchanted dagger under a pillow of the tavern's bed. My mind was blown
Omg yes, please make a series out of this. We need some proper let's plays on this channel
Aye.
Such a tip on the side if you are doing the killer quest. Don't report the murder, find the killer first and kill him and then you should report the murder. You will get the 500 D as reward and aren't forced to give the 200 D taxes back.
Hardcore Morrowind? I fear for what's been done to the cliff racers.
@Julio Cesar It is kinda but it's also pretty easily broken. Especially if you have a mage type character you are going to be a god just a few levels after starting.
Originally I was recommended this channel for the Morrowind stuff, but honestly I watch the rest of them (and subscribed) for the commentary. Much enjoyable funny commentary.
Same. I came for the Morrowind but stuck around for Mickey.
Every night I have tea and watch some RUclips. Nothing better than hearing you say "are you havin' a cup of tea?" Definitely my favorite channel right now, and I've been binging all your vids, especially the Elder Scrolls content!
7:38 Your armour rating is tree? That explains it all then.
If you haven't already you should play with the new survival mod Ashfall, it adds eating /cooking, drinking needs, camping, and a system like Frostfall for skyrim where different areas will be hot or cold.
@BBQ Ham that is awesome
Is it possible to have ashfall active at the same time as the hardcore mod, or would it break things?
@@Zetheros I haven't tried both but I don't think it'll mess anything up, Ashfall doesn't mess with damage or leveling or anything like that like the hardcore mod.
@@solorasolis1392 awesome, thanks! I'll have to try that combination on my next playthough, it sounds like they would synergize well
It's a real shame it doesn't work with OpenMW.
But it also gives me an excuse for another playthrough
So glad I found your channel. Those morrowind memes had me dying, and seeing you come out with longer form content is great. Your channel will explode boyo
His content is so well made for how long the channel has been up, It makes me wonder if he has a background in this sort of thing.
I think I'm pretty decent at the game, but low key scared to try this mod lol
you're like heavy with pyro
"I fear no mod, but that... thing. It scares me."
any mod that removed mudcrab merch is a trash mod. Wtf is the point of selling valuable gear if literally not a single percahant can actually afford to pay for even like 10% of it's value.
@@LegDayLas that's a good point, I love Morrowind but my only 2 gripes are speechcraft and merchantile. No merchant has enough money to make merchantile a skill thats worth investing in. And speechcraft is kind of unbalanced too.
Edit: and really that's just me being nitpicky and overly critical. Its not too big of a problem I guess tbh.
Oblivion was my first ES game. Once I started playing Morrowind, it already felt like it was in hardcore mode. Love your videos and how much you enjoy Morrowind. Keep them coming!
Fatigue affecting barter/speech kinda make sense in a funny way, imagine that you are trying to haggle/persuade someone but you are currently meme of Macho Man Randy Savage Speech but only the breathing in.
Adventurer: walks briskly for a couple minutes
Adventurer: asthma attack, on the verge of collapsing, worthless at everything
Hardcore Mod Adventurer: drops down a ledge less than a single story high onto soft ground
Hardcore Mod Adventurer: injures legs
I don't know if the Nerevarine is cut out for this whole adventuring thing, mates.
Okay, fine, they're usually lugging around a bunch of heavy stuff, so the added exertion makes some sense.
But still.
The Aurbis is a place where even the average mortal can wield (however incompetently) a metal axe with a head the size of an american dinner plate in one hand and survive multiple stab wounds without needing medical attention or healing.
I don't think real world endurance is really that accurate of a comparison, here.
I'm gonna have a stroke over the limewear platter lol
that "AWOOO" each time she dies will always be hilarious
Watching this right before sleeping. Makes me feel cozy smh...
Please play more. I'd love a full playthrough of this by you.
I can respect you for not immediately going for stealth archery.
That’s impossible in Morrowind
Great to see you doing well, and hopefully you make this a series
Love your channel dude. So many memories about Morrowind from my childhood
I don’t know if anyone else has appreciated that Thin Lizzie reference, but just know that The Boys got that one
They back in town yet?
27:16 “This could be an issue” in the tune of “this is how we do it” 😂
It’s interesting that people naturally morph into an American-ish accent when they sing.
I took a nap watching RUclips and somehow ended up on one of your videos and honestly I’m so happy I did, I love Morrowind and your commentary is awesome 😊
pls do more of these, really enjoyable to watch
I've never watched a ton of content from or really followed many RUclipsrs and I'll say, I really enjoy your content and commentary so much so that I think I've watched every Morrowind video you have done.
I’d watch a whole ass play through of this 🖤
I'd love to see more of the Hardcore Mod fella and fair play for putting the difficulty slider all the way up too!
If you do that quest in the mages guild where you put the fake soul gem into that wood elves desk, you can steal all of her real soul gems and I think the most expensive one is 60,000 or something crazy like that. It’s my favorite easy way to make money honey
I really enjoyed this video so I certainly hope you'll make a series of this hardcore mod. Almost feels like this is the way Morrowind was meant to be played.
Also I would recommend trying to haggle on prices whenever you're buying or selling, click the small + and - symbols next to the price to try to bump it up or down.
In the first room, that item you were thinking of, pretty sure it's those redware flasks. They'll really save your life in the endgame.
Seeing Morrowind NPCs throw knives always reminds me that Sykrim has a throwing weapons mod that's actually really good.
Don't tell Todd Howard.
Eyy, that looks pretty neat! I'd absolutely be down to see another episode (or more🤙) of this, especially if you're enjoying it. 🍻
Would love to see more videos like this one. Subbed!
I just wanna say, this is a great channel man! Super underrated. Keep up the good work 👍
you're fr thee only person i've found who makes morrowind content that is also rly good, i will now join your cult
3:18 Notice the barrels in the corner. That's where speed runners usually go through.
I love these vids you rock dude keep up the great work
Can't believe you made me a pause at 11:06. I'm going to send Mick Wallace to your gaf to give you a slap
More mate, i need more juicy morrowind content
Ok only 20k subs for such a consistently good channel? Such a shame.
Fatigue afects every single thing in this game. It's good to always have it at max
The Radiant quests mod would be a good addition for this one, to be able make decent money, but in a legit way
Glad to discover you man - great fun with these videos! :D
This episode's platter gag was fucking great
I am havin a beer and its friday lad.
Definitly cecking out this mod
Era I recorded this on a Wednesday so a beer on a Friday is grand 🍻
@@MickyD cheers mate
man.. just found your channel recently and you def deserve more subs. keep up the content cuz so far ive binged most of your uploaded stuff haha
I love mods like these, the hardcore mode in new vegas was super fun this feels kinda similar, oh well time for a new game
Please release a full playthrough of the Hardcore mod. Your style of using an axe is so entertaining. Have a good one, lad.
this mod looks spooky. huge fan! hoping for more :D
"Also made you pause loser" You got me Micky well done.
Imagine being decent enough at Morrowind to need MORE of a challenge! Child me would be mortified, and adult me is still quite a bit daunted lol.
Such an underrated RUclipsr. Thank you for all the content.
Micky, looks good. Please keep playing this hardcore mode
3:20 They added a stack o barrels in the corner there.
Mickey-dies to mudcrab
Me at 12 years old- "first time?"
It would be grand to watch you play more of this.
It seems like this is a mod where stealth would really shine. You could probably have dropped those enemies with an arrow or two before they could get you
"I tink" lol love that. Great vid btw
This channel is gonna blow up really quickly
Thank you for not stealing my limeware plate.
Love all your content!
Check out the new Extreme Hardcore mod features a real time fatigue bar for those hardcore immersive gamers out there you the player must sleep 8+ hours to restore your bar & a new "Dirty" bar has been added the more your character travels without showering it affects your fatigue as well. This is a very expansive mod so there are many more features that have been added as well!!!
Do you mean Ashfall?
Ive been loving the bloodmoon series - waiting for another episode!
Tin Lizzie is my favorite Nord. Not a lot of girls made out of tin that I like, but Lizzie is one of them.
I think he said "Thin" in his unintelligible drawl XD
This mod is great. One of my favorite changes is the inclusion of more spear type weapons.
I like that your "this could be an issue" song at 27:20 is "This is How We Do It," because on many occasions I've sang to myself "This isn't how we do it"
This video has been up for two months and you're the first person to catch that. I'm so glad
This would make for a good longer series! I could see it evening out once you level up a bit.
man that's basically The Elder Souls. I'm gonna download the mod and taste it right now. Thanks Micky!
Dunmer women: Stoopid!
Nord women: (howling intensifies)
Would absolutely like to see more of this
Watching you play Morrowind let me discover how enjoyable the other Elder Scrolls entries are. ❤️
Dragons need HUGS
Ah yes, gotta love that 30 minutes long video from our favourite game.

That's why constant effect : restore fatigue is a game changer
