hi i have a question, and i have no experience in using spss.
I m using 2 different questionnaires and 2 different likert scales.
Questionnaire A has a likert scale of 6- point (starting from 0 to 5),
0 = does not apply, and 5 = frequently
Questionnaire B has a 4 point likert scalr (starting from 1 - 4).
Can i know how to key in my data questionnaire A?
Because i have no idea how to analyze the "0"
Will it affect my analysis process??
I will be using correlation to analyze the results between Questionnaire A & B.
I'm really confused here.
It depends on how and from whom you collected the data.
If each respondent filled the both of the questionnaires, you can enter in same SPSS data file, and then analyse it accord to the hypothesis you defined.
If for both of the questionnaire, the respondents are different then you should make two different SPSS data files and analyze them separately.

It is a very long discussion. I would try to make it short. We do labeling (especially the numeric labeling) to save time as we have to press fewer keys. The accuracy of data entry also increases as many software like SPSS consider the following different from each other Male, MALE, MaLE, male, etc. The numerical score to strongly agree should be according to the phenomena involved in the scale (questionnaire). For many problems, the lower score is considered for the study, in such cases, one can label Strongly Agree as 5, but it is not necessary. As labeling does not affect the results, only the way of interpretation will be changed.

10 point likert scale data is entered in same way as of five point scale data. If you have labelled each point then you can also put these points in as value labels through variable view.

@@statisticshelp But that's the thing. The others don't have labels. That's why I don't know how to enter them. It was something like this:

And I have another similar scale:

7 = a great deal

Labels are not the issue as you have to either analyze the score of the likert scale or have to compute the relevant descriptive statistics.
@@statisticshelp But to compute them, don't I have to put them in SPSS first? All the 10 points? How do I do that if they don't have a label? I have to do define variable and then put in the points but only the numbers 1 and 10 have names :(
