Yeah! i'm number 2! hahaha. Thanks a lot for the shout! Also, i'm glad i was one among a lot other people who insist that Dwayne should continue the magazine madness theme. it's really awesome! Showcase is also amazing, David really made ES looks like Attract mode.
I like pixel the best still because it has the game names centered and usually has the entire rom name since it’s not inside a small window. And ofc the font is super easy to read. I definitely prefer simplicity and being able to read easily the entire rom name over the fancier ones.
Wahoo! I made the list! Yep....you're #1 and #2 are awesome. The hand drawn images in retrorama are truly amazing and those magazine covers are super detailed. Yea, with all these new enhancements for ES - the new theme possibilities are exciting for sure.
Go David! hah. Just so you know I have interviewed a lot of you so I left all the personal stuff out of it and looked at it from the gamers perspective.
1 showcase 2 comic book 3 magazine madness...the only reason magazine is not 1 for me is that I use video snaps (you have to turn off omx player to get video to fit in the tv images correctly and I've spent a lot of time updating descriptions and info on all my games and they don't show up with this theme...
would I have to download these themes somewhere other than the system itself? could you send me the folders of the themes you have? wanted to apply them to retrorange pi for the orange plate pi as they do not have the same theme as the raspberry
Great theme!!! I like theme novel retro magazine 😁 but someone are selection in white, not all are same, selection games on red, how can chance the color? Thanks
I like Showcase the best with video snaps. Its vertical, fast, clean, smooth, and easy to read and navigate. It just looks so slick and professional. I can respect the artistic nature of the other ones, but I'm just not a comic book fan and those aren't as easy on my old eyes
Hey can you do me a huge favor! I'm having trouble downloading and playing games on DOSBOX running on my Pi. All of the tutorials on RUclips are hard to follow.
Nice Drew!! Could you give a start point for building a system with themes like these? Is it better to start with a Motion Blue 5.0 image and modify it, or a clean installation of RetroPie and build it from there?
Hey Drew... I have a question off subject. I did a update on Emulations Station, latest version. Now none of my Sega Emulators wanna work, the main one is Sega CD any advice?
I just ran into this problem as well. Looks like they changed which name of the sega cd bios to use and its location. I had to put bios_CD_U.bin in the roms\segacd folder to get segacd to work with (U) games.
retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/12690/lr-picodrive-segmentation-fault | try to update lr-picodrive, it appears this guy fixed it so sega32x-CD etc now works again with the lr-picodrive emu core. I'm glad this got fixed because its the only core I can get shining force cd to work on.
number 2 retrorama is waaay better than the magazine one...

Very Nice Job
Thanks! you can download all these themes on the ES menu on the retropie menu
yours would be #1 for most unique
no your number 1
Awesome theme man, I'm not seeing it in in the latest version of the available themes, though. Has the name changed?
Your number 2 choice is my favorite! Its the one i personally also use.

Respect to Dwayne Hurst, but that box art was absolutely microscopic.
Hey Drew. Nice review and I am pretty chuffed at your number 1 choice :)
you deserve it, great work, it is a work of art.
Very nice video and fun to watch. Have a nice day.
Wish these were available in 2024 for Android
What is your VRAM limit set at in your retro pie? Yours seems to run super smooth...while most of these themes do not run this way for some of us.

good man
All great themes
thanks liquor hope all is well with you!
DrewTalks it's going good. Been busy around here with my daughter back in school.
number 1 is great but I like a theme called Crazy cards
I was going to use magazine theme, but it has way to small of thumb nails images and text.
Pixel still does it for me.
that one is cool
Pixel 2 is looking great and coming soon! by the same guy who created pixel.
vc tem o link man

How to seperate consoles when everything is on zip file
Great theme!!! I like theme novel retro magazine 😁 but someone are selection in white, not all are same, selection games on red, how can chance the color? Thanks
I have a bunch of collection themes on attract mode, is there a video to get them to show up on emulation station?
The link???
Emulation station theming is kind of a neache thing, it's hard to google on it.
word
How do you scrape psp art?
My lab and I are gonna be doing this. Splash screens and all. It's gonna be fun.
I got bad luck. I can't update my pie script and stuck at 4.2 from 6 months ago.
what imagE?
Nice collection for sure! I'm still a tronkyfan fan.
right on
TronkyFan and Zoid are my two favorites.
nice good choices

word! Showcase is really nice
3rd one is way better than those 2nd and 1st ones.
Hey can you do me a huge favor! I'm having trouble downloading and playing games on DOSBOX running on my Pi. All of the tutorials on RUclips are hard to follow.
I'm specifically trying to play DaggerFall
I use the retropie theme superdisplay .
Nice its beautiful
I don’t get the magazine, probably the worst looking theme out of the 5 that wouldn’t feature in my top 5….
Nice Drew!! Could you give a start point for building a system with themes like these? Is it better to start with a Motion Blue 5.0 image and modify it, or a clean installation of RetroPie and build it from there?
either one is good, this is project hyperpie image i altered and was easy
nice review, however, watch out, this will get a copyright strike when you monetize it, due to the sample of start music being longer then 4 seconds.
hasn't yet...

Focus Cool THANKS I'll try that. Did you have any luck with the 32X?
I can't get sega32x to work. I think the emu 'lr-picodrive' got broken in the latest update.
I think Level1online did a vid on the picodrive might help

Will that 400gb sd card really work for the raspberry pi? Has anyone actually tried this out?
I have tried 256 I dont know why a 400 would not
I love doraemon too.
Man, this is ugly as hell, looks like it's straight from 2002. The comicbook one is lit, tho.
