Could you potentially get a tripod for the big camera and just point it at the kill hole? I don’t know how well it would work on water but in fields maybe.

Bobby on cold days when Fred is going to be in and out of the water a lot, bring a towel to help dry him off. Any thing you can do to keep him warm - even the little things, will only make him more comfortable and effective!
Fred is an absolute beast! Last day for Texas was Sunday and I already miss it.
What part of Texas were you hunting? I live in North Texas and it was a tough season, and my first one at that. Everyone said it was a tough year, what do you think?
Every southern state was a bad duck season to hot and nothing but local ducks
These late season duck/goose hunts are what keep me hunting. There is nothing better than watching your dog beat the cold and ice while putting together an awesome hunt, especially with those long retrieves. I love the late season hunts on the water.
Old Fred has come a long way . He really worked his butt off . A lot of nice shooting . The ducks didn`t come in down here in Florida at all this past season . Our season 2019 - 2020 gone yesterday in one of our old pits I seen probably 50 to 75 Ringers and of course the Woodies starting to check out my woody box plus my neighbors boat house he had 12 whistlers land on the top . Great video, Fred did an amazing job. Take an old fishing net for scooping dead birds when you're in the boat. Keeps you from learning over the side of the boat and keeps your hands dry. Do this all the time on Lake Erie.

Bit of a crazy and ever so slightly expensive suggestion Bobby. But why not look into booking yourself a trip out to the UK to try out how we hunt. Guided trips to Scotland and across the UK is on offer. Our season starts September 1st and ends on the 20th of February.

Buddy heater if you can for Fred. I also like to keep my dogs off the ground with Shappel Jet sled, gerber layout blind heating pad, inside it, and a camo type blanket over them. Like a taco. Dogs can quickly get hypothermia, and they are a tool that needs to be ready. Like your shotgun. Keep them warm and they can perform all day.

Awesome hunt ! Hey my dog has a vest like Freds and I usually take it off of him after the first retrieve or two and dry him off with the towel also have a blanket for him to sit on. I wish there were better products to help keep our pups warm on these icy days.

Bobby check out Fish Monkey gloves. They make a mitt with half fingers that is water proof and camo. I use them for ice fishing as well as duck hunting. Keep those fingers nimble.
Can’t wait to see 3.5 inch hunts I’m looking at a mossberg 930/935 or a Benelli nova/ super nova for my next shotgun I’m leaning nova since it shoots 2.75 to 3.5
