My son and I hunt a small pothole like this in WV. It's tucked into the side of a ridge and woodies tend to streak in from behind with no warning. Super-fun hunt!
Just wait until the young fella gets a tad older, those will be your favorite hunts. I will forever cherish the first hunts mine was able to go on! It didn’t hurt they were bangers either! He eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he got to hold his first greenie!
I think Fred should have his own 👍 button😎This is a true representation of an everyday hunt, 2 guys and a dozen decoys. Great video Bobby. Stay well everyone. Ash 🏴
The small hunts like this are the best! More personal, and more like the hunts we do normally. Awesome hunt Bobby Tristan and epic retrieve by Fred! 😃🦆🐕👍
I only go to small ponds and use a minimal amount of decoys. A dozen decoys, a mojo...keeping it simple sometimes makes for the best results! Just got a goose this past weekend and didn't even have any goose decoys up. Love the vids, and Fred is AWESOME...gotta be proud of him!
Good Evening Bobby Tristin and Fred, what a lovely place to shoot. Just the place I would like to be sat beside you with Ann on the end with Roxy and Amber, the dogs. Are you trying to get a lease on that pond? Fred did brilliant for you. Thumbs up for Fred!! The lodge is looking great I hope you get it finished! Happy shooting Malc and Ann (England) UK xxx
Hey Bob, love the shot cam. Can you do a video where you review your misses and talk about what you think you did wrong? I think I've seen one where you just showed a bunch of clips, but maybe one with your commentary on what's happening. I started the season kind of rough, missing easy shots and now I'm doing a lot better, but I'm still wondering if I'm shooting behind, too far in front, under, over etc.. It would be nice to hear your thoughts about your misses.
Shot my first woody drake with my dad this past weekend on a public lake. Dropped it on a 20 yard crosser in the boat blind we built together. Gonna get it mounted for the memories!
Last weekend my dad and I limited out we were in a small pond like this and we had 7 come in and only 3 left. Only got one big duck unfortunately. Best of hunting season to you and the crew.
Appreciate the small hunt all I hunt is a 3 man group I’d love to have a big group but it’s public not many people want to hunt with each other! I’m going out tomorrow morning see what happens in the river 🤟🏼🤟🏼😈
I think it'd be cool to see a scar crow challenge. Where you put a scare crow at the opposite end of the water you are hunting to see if it pushes birds to your side.
Hey Bobby, what are some tips you would give to newer waterfowlers hunting highly pressured public marsh? This my second season and I am absolutely hooked, though I have had some limited success in my hunts.
I’ll say that it’s certainly respectable to call the lost bird part of your limit, but in my case the last bird I couldn’t find was replaced with my first band. If it’s just one, I don’t have an issue with filling the limit. If you’re wounding half of what you shoot and not recovering, you’re not doing your part as an ethical hunter.
Love watching your hunts man. What kind of shells are y’all using and also what cam do you have on your gun? Nearing second season here in upstate NY and would love to gear up brother!
Love these types of hunts! Keep them coming. Ole Frederick is really looking good this year. The training is really paying off.
It helps that just 2 guns go off and half dozen guys are not there, screeming and shooting. Plus other dogs. I suspose.
Finally a realistic spread
I’d love to see Bobby do a early swamp hunt, or in the timber. Is there much swamps or creek runs around y’alls way?
I didn’t know mose from schrute farms does waterfowl hunting
big facts

Interesting. Similar to one of my favorite spots in Wisconsin. Those guys are fast as hell and scare the crap outta of me every single pass.
Lol I hunt wv too, nothin like hunting resident birds!
Fred's retrieve out of the thick on the opposite side was the best part of this video. Dogs are amazing. Way to go Fredster!
I really like the simple hunts that focus on Fred. I've learned a lot from watching his progress.
Just wait until the young fella gets a tad older, those will be your favorite hunts. I will forever cherish the first hunts mine was able to go on! It didn’t hurt they were bangers either! He eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when he got to hold his first greenie!
I love that guy you were hunting with. Just having fun and being cool with you working the dog and filming. Cool guy
I think Fred should have his own 👍 button😎This is a true representation of an everyday hunt, 2 guys and a dozen decoys.
Great video Bobby.
Stay well everyone.
Ash 🏴
Fred is a MONSTER lol. Pro tip tho: whistle train him to sit and come. It'll work wonders for you on your bigger hunts
Every time I hear the specks flying over I get excited and they're like "we're just passing through". Such is life in Iowa.
When Fred came busting out with cattails hanging and a duck in his mouth! I was even proud! What a stud!
😂😂🙌👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 man he had all them cattails hangin off him i was so proud
One-man and two-man hunts are the ones I like
Prefect type of hunt for fred, a small pond, and he can see everything to mark it! Awesome job, bob!
Nice job of Frederick hes came a long ways always fun to watch him get better and better
The small hunts like this are the best! More personal, and more like the hunts we do normally. Awesome hunt Bobby Tristan and epic retrieve by Fred! 😃🦆🐕👍

Tristan seems like a great guy! You can tell that you guys had a lot of fun on this hunt!

Bags sled and decoys loaded up alarm set 4o clock. Tomorrow we are gonna get another limit 👌🏼 southern az
Do a tutorial for hunting creek ducks, and small small marsh’s, that’s all we have around here and the ducks just won’t center up!

Tristan is a stand up dude!! I think more of him would be awesome! Cheyenne bottoms bound in 3 days!!! I can’t wait to back in the marsh!
Shot my first woody drake with my dad this past weekend on a public lake. Dropped it on a 20 yard crosser in the boat blind we built together. Gonna get it mounted for the memories!
“Yep... give em the smoke” 😂😂
Ol Tristan sounds good on that duck call!
darn right he does
That retrieve was AWESOME man! Loved seeing that!
Have a blessed day/night❤️
I like all of your videos but the smaller scale hunts are the ones that i love
I appreciate the love for public land. Most of us wouldn't be hunters without it.
Good to see Fred back in action!
Hey bob, idk if you know this but whenever you have a muddy bottom (like this hunt) BRING SNOWSHOES! You sit right on top of the mud when walking.
I would watch these videos just for Fred, he's great, it's been fun to watch his progression.
Fredrick the great!!! Putting out that work 💪💪💪
12:30 did ole Fred just nod in approval?
OH BUDDY! These are the types of hunts I always do, amazing video once again!
FRED IS A BEAST!!!

Great Video! I hunted the same hole for big duck opener 👌
Tristan seems like such a nice guy but he is a little cam shy 😂
If there had been a duck in the weeds FRED would have found it!! My mix lab once chased a runner woodie 60 yds through cattails!! Bird was very ALIVE!
Appreciate the small hunt all I hunt is a 3 man group I’d love to have a big group but it’s public not many people want to hunt with each other! I’m going out tomorrow morning see what happens in the river 🤟🏼🤟🏼😈
I think I was just as hyped as bobby when fred made that long retrieve through all the cattails 😂
I cant wait to be hunting again cause I've been sick for 3 weeks

Good vid man. Love Fred
I have 3 t-shirts that I haven't even worn and 1 on the way, keep up the good work bud
Can you do a timber hunt? Would love to see that!
They should do a one decoy no call challenge.
bobby thank you that is the first time a youtuber has given me a heart
U should create a pit blind on one of ur leases for snows to help the hide

Great video Bobby id love to find me a good public place around Kansas that isn't full of ppl
Heck yeah Bobby public land that was sweet!! To see Fred run through the tall stuff and retrieve that bird was epic..
I'd like to see a .410 wood duck hunt.
I love watching these vids, but their teasing me because duck season down here doesn’t start till November 😂
Right, it doesn't start till Nov 14th here...
Ikr In Arkansas we have to wait a while longer
Yea I feel your pain I’m in the same boat my man😂
Thumbs up for Frederick
Love watching your hunts man. What kind of shells are y’all using and also what cam do you have on your gun? Nearing second season here in upstate NY and would love to gear up brother!
Any tips on how to recognize birds on the wing? I'm really nervous about hitting something I'm not supposed to.
Fred for president !!!!!

Biggest challenge you’ve heard: Rat Shot 22
