I appreciate it and I’m glad you found value in the video. I knew I couldn’t be the only one. Ironically, I’ve still had Israelis tell me they find my experience to be “shocking” lol.
Thanks for speaking your TRUTH about all of this! I've been matching with TONS of masculine, successful/highly educated men from Tel Aviv and was curious on what that place was about LOL...to possibly visit on vacation en route to London. But your video makes me want to pass on it. Three interviews? Like really? I'm a Feminine male from the US who specifically seeks out African-American women's reviews on places I'm interested in traveling to- simply because of the fact that AA women can properly 'read a room' like no other!! As opposed to straight blk men of any ethnicity- who generally tend to operate with a naïveté & see things via rose colored glasses. I also don't like visiting places where blk women aren't cherished! Thanks for your insight, and sorry you had to experience such inhumane treatment!
Lol yes the men in Tel Aviv will trap you! 😂 A lot of them are successful, handsome, seem to be doing well for themselves, etc but the gaslighting culture was just too much for me. And although airport security was over the top extra 🙄 I’d still say give it a visit if it’s been on your bucket list. Tel Aviv itself is a vibe and worth experiencing, just learn from me and plan to stay for a couple of days instead of weeks. Thanks for watching and best of luck with all your travels! 💕
Wow, this is a great review! I had similar experiences in Marrakech and Istanbul (overwhelmed and too much negative attention). Tel Aviv has been on my list for a while, but something keeps telling me it's not a place for me to go solo. Thank you again for the honest review on your experience - truly helpful!
Yes of course, I’m glad you found it helpful! I’ve heard the same about Marrakech and I changed my mind about going there solo too. I hope you have a much better experience if you do make it to Tel Aviv!
In istanbul the police detained me and my boyfriend for no reason stole his phone and money. As a black women please be extra careful going to certain places. The police apologised but it honestly ruined the whole trip
Lovely video!! I'm also a black female solo-traveler who is looking to visit Israel. Would you mind explaining how the Airbnb was a scam, if you booked through the app? Juat wanting to know, that way I can know what things to look for
The pictures online looked nothing like the place I walked into. It was a completely different unit, small, dirty, smelly and the host tried hard not to refund me my money. Please be careful going there, especially while they are actively engaged in a genocide.
Let me start by saying I'm so so sorry this was your experience. As a solo traveler myself I am no stranger to challenging experiences. I was born and raised in Israel and only moved to the US several years ago. I wish I was there to help you navigate the cultural differences. I think that having someone local show you around would have been really helpful. Israel is such a beautiful country with so many special things to experience so I hope you will have a positive do-over
I appreciate your empathy. Ironically I did know someone local who showed me around and that only seemed to intensify things - I got nasty stares in Jerusalem being seen with someone white. Israel is a beautiful country for sure! If I had a re-do I most definitely would not have gone there alone. Thanks for watching!

Aww thank you chica, I appreciate you ❤️ and yes, the principle really does matter! It’s a shame that the people there (especially in the “Holy City”) had such nasty energy but you live and you learn 🤷🏾♀️ I just won’t be back lol. Thanks for watching!!

Thank sucks you had to go through all that nonsense. I was in Tbilisi, Georgia last fall for work and surprisingly did not experience anything overt. However most of the time I was in populated work environments. Even still, I was the only one of us for miles around. My spidey senses went off a couple times while exercising in the mornings, but I made sure to steer clear when someone questionable came near. Unfortunately, I deal with more passive aggressive bs in a supposedly progressive major city in the States on any random day than I did in an all caucastic Eastern European country. Thank you for sticking it out and doing the work in Tel Aviv so we don't have to. 🙏🏾💙🖤✨
