She is the fresh breath of air, non-filtered, witty, manic pixie dream girl that I think we all either aspire to be or aspire to fall in love with. She seems like the carefree, clever, adventurous girl that you love but honestly also can be problematic at time and maybe attracts a lot of tragic situations and has a rough background that gets romanticized a lot in media but in all reality really sucks. I've lost track of you guys for a while but I had to write and say I LOVED this video. Your conversations with the locals really add a lot to getting the feel of the place. Pictures are good for atmosphere but to get the true vibe of a place hearing the voices of her people, that is the BEST. Thanks!
I love this video! It's so cool (and brave) that you travel on your own and meet all those people. I really liked how you talked about the country with everyone you met. Isreal seems like a beautiful country. I really want to go there some day! I'm half Jewish (not raised religious though) so I definitely feel some sort of connection with Isreal. Thank you for making this video!!
I really enjoyed your long videos in Israel and Palestine. In fact I wish you had made two long videos for each one you made. I've never thought about visiting the middle east, but you made it interesting and accessible in a way I never imagined. More please.
When Damon did his coming out video, he kept insisting that "it's not a big thing, this is a travel channel, nothing to hide, who cares"... yet I think without that clarification he would never be so comfortable to tackle that topic in depth in newer videos.
Y’all just opened a can of worms, a pandora box even.. I finished the video and it’s great! And not controversial, AND YES WE ARE LIVING FOR THE LONG VIDEOS
*I honestly love this longer format so much, and I’ve always wanted to visit Israel but these videos are definitely making me want to even more. Great documentary Damon* :)
Military service is mandatory in Finland too🇫🇮 At first I was annoyed when I received my conscription letter (I live in Canada so it's optional for me, however I can't live in Finland without doing it) but now I just look at it as a reason to shut up and go and also get free tuition. Wish me luck lol
LOOOOOVE the longer format. We get more of a feel for what you're doing day to day when you're in these places. I took a Judaism class in college and have been fascinated with Israel/Palestine ever since. Can't wait to see what else you have in store.
I'm living for these longer videos!! Can't wait for the next one. Thank you guys for inspiring us to travel. I did my own shut up and go and now I'm living in Melbourne Australia but planning to go around the whole country soon. Cheers!!!
"The American dream is to get out of America" OMG i love that quote HAHA! I've been doing my best to shutup and go, but i would love to stay gone! haha. Anywho could you make a video about problems you've faced while at customs? I've always wondered how people deal with that. ALSO I didn't even realize this video was 22mins long, great job at keeping it fun and interesting. I'll probably watch it again for tips on my own travel vids. :-)
I love this style of video. It's really nice seeing both sides of a conflict from the YOUNG people's point of view. It's so important to hear their voices!! keep it going!
These longer videos are a wonderful format for your channel -22 minutes is a LOT of content to get out of a 5 day trip and I applaud you for getting us to experience as much of your trip as you could! x
I just want to point out that I've never seen this channel and I love it, this is what travelling should be looks like, is about meeting people, knowing thr culture, interact and be kind, but most important learn about the politicals, the conflict and the testimonies, just amazing!! I hope you could come to Colombia because is an amazing country and people wants the world know the real situation. So breve and aducating sections...
loved this vlog! you and Jo have given me so much inspiration to travel the world and not just the tourist spots! thanks for the great content and stay safe traveling!
one of the reasons I l-o-v-e this channel is that, as the lady said, tourists come with an objective perspective, knowledge, they see the big picture and explore it - they see it as it really is for themselves and decide whether love it or not. as opposed to the Indigenous people who live in the place and usually know just what is around them and not much more. Toda Raba - תודה רבה for coming here, you brought, at least for me, a different and new aspect in tel-aviv-yafo, thank you and - Le-it-ra-ot - להתראות (literally: goodbye and see you in the next time) Un bon voyage à Jérusalem!
This longer video is GOLDEN! I don't think anyone has ever showed Tel Aviv as well as you did. I mean, HGTV showed some apartments on House Hunters International one time but that's it...
This video makes me jealous beyond words. Soon I'll visit Israel myself. Also I'm excited about the upcoming videos dealing with more of the political stuff. I've been reading tons of stuff about Israel and the development of the conflict with the Palestinians and other surrounding countries like Iran for example. I personally think, the existence of Israel is an invaluable chance for so many people living in the Middle East to escape oppression. Also the historical necessity for a Jewish state to exist is in my opinion unnegotiable. Israel is the only nation on earth that has succeeded to protect Jewish lives from prosecution and death for 70 consecutive years. That alone makes Israel indispensable.
LOVED THIS. I received a negative reaction when I was about to go to Istanbul Turkey because of the government there ect. People were even telling me to cancel my trip! But I had the exact same thought, if I don't go to any countries with political conflict I can't even return home! So I went to Istanbul and had one of the most amazing trips of my life. Gotta do what you gotta do, ya know? Keep on keeping on.
Beware of pickpockets and go off the beaten track ! Don't hesitate to ask me for any advice as I live there but unfortunately won't be there at that time hahaha
Haha I just found you guys and I'm in love. Love your style, love your open-mindedness, and that you show your interaction with locals. Definitely going to continue watching you guys!
I only just discovered you and Jo in the last month. I’ve watched many of your videos. This is one of my favorites! I love to travel solo. I am very curious about this region. Yes... governments don’t reflect the people... such beautiful people in the world. ❤️
Wow I luuuurrved this. It's so interesting to hear the views of real life Israelis and how they really feel about their country and their government. Also loved the longer video!! Love from New Zealand xxxx
Absolutely love the longer, in-depth video. There have been a few times, like Jo's learning Greek in Greece videos, where I absolutely loved them but only wished they were longer! This was such a beautiful video, Damon...thank you so much for this! Lots of love to all the Israelis and Palestinians who just want to live their lives in peace but aren't allowed to by their governments. Love and peace to all of us who live under governments who don't represent us and manufacture conflict for their own interests. Looking forward to the next 3 parts...I so want to go to Israel and Palestine now. :-)
I finished watching the whole video and only then realised 20+ mins have passed! This gotta be the first video where I am really so engrossed (the editing was awesome!) I didnt even know it was that long...Cant wait for part 2!
oooh!! you're here.. I'm so happy that you came (even though I live in the other side*Palestine).. I hope you come to the occupied westbank and see what's really happening because tel-Aviv TBH isn't related to the conflict.. LOVE YOUR CONTENT...
I really like this style of video, where we go along with you rather than the 'places to visit' travel videos. I remember going back to Jo's Cuba blogs as we just followed along with her, and it really gave me a sense of what the reality of the country was like and the people. Great jobs guys, we love you! P.S. I'm going to Brussels next month, Damon convinced me!
I’m Palestinian and we eat Sahlab. It’s made out of milk, cornstarch, vanilla, and cinnamon. It literally just taste like delicious warm horchata pudding (if made right).
There is not such thing Palestinian... your origins from neighboring countries of Israel. All "Palestinians" are Syrians, Egyptians or Jordans that crossed the border into Israel & call themselves "Palestinians" only to get more land. Give the Israelis ALL Israel back. U Arabs have all the middle east.
The purple girl you met in the coffee shop is very wrong, as a combat soldier in the IDF I can tell you it's the most important thing in the country, We wouldn't have a country without it We are surrounded by people that hate us and want to kick us out from the country. And girls have very important "jobs" and things to do in the army, if you have time I wish we can meet up and I will explain more to you
ido hermel people have mixed feelings. My Israeli friends are kinda annoyed that they have to serve be cause it takes a lot of time and they feel like it it takes so long for their life to actually begin
@@shulidernis1418 People have mixed feelings, it's true, but you usually won't hear that kind of talk from people who served in a meaningful position, men or women, the people who thinks it's a waste of time or holding them back are usually the ones who served on positions who are insignificant and in a way really are a waste of time, but the thing is that they get to those positions usually because of their "it's a waste of time" attitude to begin with, so if that's what your friends(and the pink haired girl) thinks then it's says more about them rather than the army itself, I don't mean to insult or offend you or your friends by saying that, but knowing the subject firsthand it's just usually is the case.

DamonAndJo I’m Israeli, and yes that’s what they said
@@DamonAndJo LMAO he was def saying cornflour it's just his accent.
I've lost track of you guys for a while but I had to write and say I LOVED this video. Your conversations with the locals really add a lot to getting the feel of the place. Pictures are good for atmosphere but to get the true vibe of a place hearing the voices of her people, that is the BEST. Thanks!
Damon you didn't need to come for me like this, this is ART. You know I'm boutta sit down and watch this whole ass thing
Didn't realize the video was over 20 minutes until it finished and i wanted it to be longer. lmao
Weren't they saying cornflour?
They did
They probably meant corn starch
I missed Damon lol
Hey baby! You'll be missing Jo next week when I post three videos from back to back!
@@DamonAndJo aw that's fine babe. 💛 Any plans on when u two will release content together again?
@@raphaelmarleyalves7475 We'll be together in three weeks in Los Angeles!
@@DamonAndJo yaaay luv u guys
are you guys doing any LA meet ups soon by any chance?? :)@@DamonAndJo
I really enjoyed your long videos in Israel and Palestine. In fact I wish you had made two long videos for each one you made. I've never thought about visiting the middle east, but you made it interesting and accessible in a way I never imagined. More please.
When Damon did his coming out video, he kept insisting that "it's not a big thing, this is a travel channel, nothing to hide, who cares"... yet I think without that clarification he would never be so comfortable to tackle that topic in depth in newer videos.
the classic "come to brazil" lol
welcome to lsrael
Y’all just opened a can of worms, a pandora box even..
I finished the video and it’s great! And not controversial, AND YES WE ARE LIVING FOR THE LONG VIDEOS
Welcome!
Nah, their audience is better than that.
DamonAndJo I love you guy D&J! ❤️
honey, it's been open for centuries
michael guez tea!
Wow! I didn't know military service is mandatory in Finland. Good luck!
enjoy it! being in the military is an unusual experience and one of the best places to meet new people
Hey so how was your experience? The people want to know!
as someone who is jewish this vlog was absolutely amazing to watch and helped me become even more educated in this topic so THANKYOU
You met some cool ass people on your trip! Makes me so happy :D
LOOOOOVE the longer format. We get more of a feel for what you're doing day to day when you're in these places. I took a Judaism class in college and have been fascinated with Israel/Palestine ever since. Can't wait to see what else you have in store.
This is a new peak of quality for the channel! Keep it up 😍
I really love this video! So pleasant, with a lot of beautiful shots. I can’t wait for the next ones!
The people were really charming !
Thank you! I'm the girl who said this quote in the video, I think it's still true haha, sad.
I love this style of video. It's really nice seeing both sides of a conflict from the YOUNG people's point of view.
It's so important to hear their voices!! keep it going!
Man the people there are so nice!!! The video is too cute
These longer videos are a wonderful format for your channel -22 minutes is a LOT of content to get out of a 5 day trip and I applaud you for getting us to experience as much of your trip as you could! x
15 seconds in and I can tell this is gonna be interesting
TO SAY THE LEAST! 🤣
So breve and aducating sections...
loved this vlog! you and Jo have given me so much inspiration to travel the world and not just the tourist spots! thanks for the great content and stay safe traveling!
i really liked this, thank you for not brushing past the conflict and at least addressing it.
Damon & Jo Documentaries in 2019.... Here for it!
one of the reasons I l-o-v-e this channel is that, as the lady said, tourists come with an objective perspective, knowledge, they see the big picture and explore it - they see it as it really is for themselves and decide whether love it or not. as opposed to the Indigenous people who live in the place and usually know just what is around them and not much more. Toda Raba - תודה רבה for coming here, you brought, at least for me, a different and new aspect in tel-aviv-yafo, thank you and - Le-it-ra-ot - להתראות (literally: goodbye and see you in the next time) Un bon voyage à Jérusalem!
“You can never express yourself like you can in your native language” 🤯👌🏻
I love the longer videos! I love how you're exploring controversial places. Stay safe on your travels!
I am really impressed by this video, you really are good at what you do Damon!
This longer video is GOLDEN! I don't think anyone has ever showed Tel Aviv as well as you did. I mean, HGTV showed some apartments on House Hunters International one time but that's it...
"The American dream is to get out of America"
So real.
Thank you for visiting💗💗
Y’all my first solo trip is going to be to Paris in August 🥰
yeees girl get that travel
Beware of pickpockets and go off the beaten track ! Don't hesitate to ask me for any advice as I live there but unfortunately won't be there at that time hahaha
damn I dream of going to Paris this summer but I'm kinda scared to travel solo tbh 😣
I LOVE your mentality Damon, and am so enjoying seeing the way you visit places!!! Have fun!
Damon coming in 2019 with fire content 😍
Haha I just found you guys and I'm in love. Love your style, love your open-mindedness, and that you show your interaction with locals. Definitely going to continue watching you guys!

I only just discovered you and Jo in the last month. I’ve watched many of your videos. This is one of my favorites! I love to travel solo. I am very curious about this region. Yes... governments don’t reflect the people... such beautiful people in the world. ❤️
Toujours quand j'ai regardé leur vidéo, je me demande s'ils connaissent un pays comme le Ghana.
Un jour!!!
@@DamonAndJo OMG d'accord!
Wow I luuuurrved this. It's so interesting to hear the views of real life Israelis and how they really feel about their country and their government. Also loved the longer video!! Love from New Zealand xxxx
He's one of the most well educated ppl i ever saw on RUclips..
I literally screamed when I saw this
Me too😂
I finished watching the whole video and only then realised 20+ mins have passed!
Mano brasileiro tá em TODO lugar
Tem muitos brasileiros em israel!
Verdade kkkkk
Hahaha ia comentar a mesma coisa, parece que brotamos.
KKKKKKKKK SIM
Pois er
I love the longer format!! A longer video means longer enjoyment!

I absolutely love these longer videos. They help us really get into ALL the aspects of your travels.
I’m Palestinian and we eat Sahlab. It’s made out of milk, cornstarch, vanilla, and cinnamon. It literally just taste like delicious warm horchata pudding (if made right).
Eat not drink, right? With a spoon? I love horchata so I would probably like Sahlab.
YES, DAMON, I LOVE THESE LONGER VIDEOS. Yes to the more long and in- depth content.
This was so wonderful!! Can't wait for the next one!
- Just find a girlfriend?
- Yeaaah there's many, it's no problem for you
HAHAHAHAHAHA
XDXDXD
I'm here for these longer videos! The interviews and hearing the views of average people is also really nice. Thanks for challenging the status quo!
The purple girl you met in the coffee shop is very wrong, as a combat soldier in the IDF I can tell you it's the most important thing in the country,
We wouldn't have a country without it
We are surrounded by people that hate us and want to kick us out from the country.
Im an idf solider and I'm pretty annoyed at my service. Some of my friends love it. Some dont
I went to Tel Aviv in 2018 for pride (from the UK) and I found your video fantastic and endearing. I'm so glad you had a good time, covered the markets, LGBT aspects and I completely agree about the people; they are stunningly beautiful.
