    First- all the wedges offered are gapping for the first set of irons Takomo released, model 101. The pitching wedge is 44*. Website possible ordering is 48, 52, 56, 60. Ideal for that set. But they are not the gapping for any of the other models. The 101T model irons PW is 46 which should be a 50* wedge. Same for 201 irons, and 301 series. Takomo needs an offering of 50* and 54*. Second- wedges almost all the time show not in stock. Nobody wants to wait 8-10 weeks on their order.

      Thanks for sharing your opinion. I must say the number indicating loft doesn't always mean that's the one to play. You may deliver the club differently to me meaning your 48 may not play to your gapping but it could for someone else so I wouldn't always go off lofts, always best to have a gapping session.
      I can imagine wait times are frustrating but I don't think they are the only ones having issues. I know people been waiting a long time for p790s or any other brand. With issues overseas I can imagine a lot of companies are struggling right now. As always happy to hear from others so your comments and opinions are always welcome. 👍

      @@GOLFDAYS Well isn’t that the truth for any brand? But the other brands do 2* increments to compensate for this. I ordered and have received a set of 101T irons. As for other brand delays in shipping, here in the US the shelves are full and even custom orders are not like my 9+ weeks. It’s 4 at worse. Plus my order arrived with a set of pallet forks thru the box cutting a grip.

      @@DanWessonSpecialist fair comments but to be fair them, let's give them credit. How long have they been on the market and as you know having the 101t irons, they are continuously growing the range so who's to say no more wedges are coming. I'm sorry to hear about the grip mate that's awful from the courier's

    Great video! Love the content and the showcasing what Takomo does for those who want to play religiously throughout the week or just as a weekend warrior. I just got a set of 101t’s just came in, I chose to try these over buying the JPX 923 HM, if everything is a go when I try out my 7 iron at my sim shop I’ll be looking into these wedges ASAP!

    These wedges are as good as any top brand club! Last time we spoke you had just got your 101's to save money so you could get some posh wedges lol it's great to see that Takomo have linked up with you you deserve it 👏 I love my 101's and Skyforger wedges ❤ keep up the good work 👍

      Hey Nick, you are absolutely right, it is incredible you can get great Wedges which can compete with the big guys and not at the same high prices.
      I know 😅 I remember saying that In the original video. Thanks a lot, that's very kind of you to say. I was over the moon when they offered the partnership as the irons were bought off my own back and I just loved them and still is my genuine feeling towards them so It was the icing on the cake really. Thanks for your kind words Nick #takomofamily 🙌

    If I was younger and had the time (years) to improve on my game, I would definitely consider some Takomo irons - I love the look. But I need something forgiving and more forgiving than the 101's plus there is no way to test them in advance. That is too big a risk for me - at least with a full set of irons. At least you knew your specs so you could order a proper set that fit. I might consider a couple of wedges (56/60) though since I don't love the old Mizunos I am using now and my short game is the best part of my game. They sounds real nice too. What ball were you using? Glad to hear you are an ambassador for Takomo now too. That's pretty cool and hopefully will help grow the channel. You seem to hit them very well so no need to apologize for promoting them either - the proof is in the videos.
    You might be interested in checking out the Mobile Club Maker channel. He is a huge fan of Takomo irons and did a video in March on making a custom set for himself using the Takomo heads. Worth a watch. He knows his stuff.

      I totally get where you are coming from, it is understandably a risk when you can't try them out first I get it. As you say I was lucky enough to know my specs which I could then pull over when buying the irons.
      I do love a good short game, a year or so ago I was in the same position as you when you say your short game was your best part. I used to love my short game (you would notice in earlier videos) but it did start to fizz out. When I got my hands on these I felt fresh boost of confidence with them and now happily again I can say I am confident enough to whip out the 60 degree again. They just come off the club so nice.
      I was using tour response golf balls in the test which is my current ball.
      Thank you, I am so happy to have been made ambassador and honestly it's people like you who have supported this channel and engaged in videos. So thank you.
      Ok yeah nice I will check our the channel. Thanks for the tip 👍

    Hey mate, interested to know what your gapping is like between the 48 (or even 52) and your 101 pitching wedge. Balanced gaps or are the 101s too hot?

    • @GOLFDAYS
      @GOLFDAYS  2 года назад +1

      Hello mate I haven't ever had a proper gapping session but on average I would say pw is 110-120
      48 is 100. 52 is similar but I have both in bag just because I have them.
      Thanks for the question, hope it helps.

      I'm wondering the same. I'm ordering the 101's, and I think I'm gonna skip the 52 and go 48, 56, 60 in the wedges. I don't need 4 wedges in the bag.

    Hi there, I seen on there website it says the wedges come with kbs wedge ‘stiff’ shafts… my irons have regular flex shafts, will this be a totally different feel to the point I have really inconsistent ball striking if you know what I mean? Or will I not notice much of a difference?

    • @GOLFDAYS
      @GOLFDAYS  8 месяцев назад

      Hello mate that's a difficult to answer. It will certainly feel firmer, not to the point not usable but may need time to get used to. One thing I recommend you do which is so easy to do. Go to a golf shop and ask to try out wedges in stiff to see the feel.. hope that helps a little
