      Yes, the camera records 24/7 , no, they don’t randomly pull up video! Video is sent to them from the monitoring company when certain criteria or events occur. In order for them to view video that is non-triggered, they have to submit every request to the monitoring company before they can view it. Don’t go starting BS rumors

      OK, I’ve been with Giltner nearly 13 years. So yeah they’re good people. I’ve never ever ever ever had a crossword or bad experience with anyone in the office ever. My people are laid-back for the most part as long as you’re on time for your pick up and deliveries, and if you’re going to be late and call them, they will work with you and the customers. Communication is key. The office staff are just awesome people just like you and I. Our safety people will leave you alone 99% of the time as long as you don’t do anything to make them call you or send you messages. It’s pretty simple to stay out of trouble, I do not see myself going to any other company. I’ve been here nearly 13 years and I love these guys!

      @@truckindawg1I worked in safety. They can pull that video up whenever they get ready. I don’t care what they tell you. And they can also back review meaning they can see what you’ve done hours or even a day or two prior. It not only records, but it also keeps records too. Those cameras are constantly sending alerts. We go through it and throw most of them out. Drivers only get a call if it’s something safety thinks was a hazard. The cameras also have mics .

    • @truckindawg1

      When you first start, you can go three weeks before you get a check. Reason being pay periods begin on the third and end on the 17th then 18th to the second of each month. Then there is about a nine or 10 payroll processing. Period paydays are the 9th and 24th of each month.

    See my comments on your K&B departure. Surprised you got suckered into the typical carrier lease purchase scam. Driver facing cameras? No chance in hell would I allow that. You’ll leave in a few months. These lease jobs are a huge ripoff. You are paying more for the truck than your company so they profit off every payment you make, many profit on a greater fuel discount than they give you and some don’t even give you the full fuel surcharge. Plus they don’t have to provide vacation pay, medical/dental etc. Carriers started these scams years ago to help line their pockets without having to raise freight rates and risk losing customers to competitors or the spot market. There is a reason they say no money down, no credit check. Cuz they control everything. They got nothing to lose, you do! Haven’t heard you mention your truck payment. What you think you are making over a company driver you aren’t when they take out your truck payment. The down payment they are taking out is not your truck payment.

    • @truckindawg1
      @truckindawg1 2 месяца назад +1

      Literally almost everything you said in that comment was absolutely false. I’ve been with Giltner for nearly 13 years ,least for the last 2 1/2. Lease drivers get 100% of the fuel surcharge on top of that we get a sizable discount on fuel depending on the location sometimes as much as $1.60 per gallon discount. It just depends on the location. I have a 2024 Volvo currently my payment is $1725 per settlement. As far as your Comment saying after the truck payment, you only make company wages, absolutely false. As far as the office staff, these people are extremely friendly and nice and mostly laid-back. Pick up and deliver on time and be safe and you won’t have a problem. You may be talking truth on how other companies operate the Giltner has proven to me to be a good company. Like I said I’ve been here nearly 13 years. Think I know what I’m talking about.
