Just a few things that the American guy finds interesting. Guns, edc gear, trucks, and conservative politics!

If you're at a dock you're on duty. It's the law.
Thank you.
I dodged a bullet with those guys. my current company is amazing
KB 😅was garbafe back in early 2000. I drove out of my hometown of Waterloo Iowa. Tyson loads and dudnt have to wait. Crystal Distribution had tons of trailers there.
But that’s every company they always want you to put in your 2 week notice
Criminal theft by the company
Ivan i see that you're more used to micromanagement . I don't see you lasting more than a year with Giltner , you are creating problems to your self. Bro it seems to me this is easy layback company and it's hard to find a place like this.
I’m used to moving. I shouldn’t have to stay on them to stay busy.
How much did you get as sign on bonus?
$500 for orientation, $500 after 30 days, and $1,000 at 6 months.
@@Americanguystuff thanks bro. Good luck . Am planing on coming over to work for Giltner tho , hope we get to meet. Take care and keep on trucking.
How long have you been with the company?
thanks for this info not going the issues is us with cdl we keep moving trucks instead of making an union and get power back same thing with owner operators and drivers
😮😮😮😮😮😮
I think they want to have their fuel tanks smaller so they can carry more product on their trailers
Yess I've carried loads over 45k pounds and I'm still legal because of the size of the tanks and the apu loophole you get 400 extra pounds if you have a apu but every load I've haul is always heavy
Ita not the ownership. You're dealing with mostly young out of or in college students. You angered some dork in their office and he tried to screw you purposely in spite. They found out and went silent on you. These people are mostly young dorks that have no common sense world experience or worked a hard day in their lives.
What Kinda drug test
Bro you are getting nothing, I have drivers that get home weekly and take home 6-7k in revenue per week!
U lying 😅
Do they got cameras?
Wow so are u able to save your 15% for maintenance and for your taxes and able to pay your self for your own expenses
I usually put 30% aside for taxes. My quarterly tax liability is usually around 17% with federal and state so I consistently have 13% set aside for anything that may come up.
🔥🔥
So 2500 every 2 weeks (bi monthly)...that's with your lease payment, down payment, fuel, license fees, registration fees, etc...already taken out. Now, you're on a 1099 correct? So minus taxes and insurance out of that. Maintenance? Did you figure in oil changes, tires, regular truck maintenance or care? What if the truck breaks down? There's another god knows how much depending on what it is that breaks. I'm sorry, but to be an owner op (lease to purchase aka glorified company driver), I'd have to bring in at LEAST 3K a WEEK after everything to justify the risk. And yes...that's why I'm still a company driver. Plus.. .it's their truck, so if you want to drag up and go somewhere else...it's their truck and you have to start over with someone else.
I’m doing just under $2,500 a week before taxes. This is why I’m putting this information out there so other drivers can determine for themselves. As far as maintenance, it’s a tax deduction so it works out.
@@Americanguystuff You are right, I don't know why I said 2500 bi monthly. My mind was thinking one thing and my hands typed another. You clearly stated 4-5.5k bi monthly. I'm just trying to see the benefit of lease to purchase. Everyone speaks against it. And even at 2500, after Uncle Sam and health insurance, that's closer to maybe 1500 if you invest in a retirement plan as well. Maintenance may be tax deductible, but lost wages aren't. It just seems completely transparent as a case of predatory lending if I've ever seen it. Don't get me wrong, it's not just you. It's everyone that falls for this. It's simple risk vs reward. Thank you for the information that you put out there and I mean nothing rude or negative. It's just simple math. The success stories of guys grossing 250-400k are the exception to the rule, not the rule....and by an unimaginable large margin.
Averaging roughly 2500 miles per week, so not working hard at all.
Biggest red flag= Yes, you are correct about using personal conveyance. If you are caught, it will result in a violation on your PSP report. Many reputable local companies take this into consideration. This could potentially be a deal breaker, so the question to consider is whether it is worth it in the long run.
Can I talk to you I want to know about it.i will give you a referral
This is different freight market!
I meant to say 4500 miles a pay period, which is roughly 2250 miles per week.
They didn't pay me my orientation pay.
I quit after 3 days. The truck was nasty smell like shit and nasty as dog. I clean it up yet the smell still remained. They will put an app on your phone to see if you get on your phone while driving. They suck. Don't work there.
Nice video 👍🔥
How much is your truck payment?
That’s one of the big problems with trucking is none of you new drivers don’t communicate on the C.B. You’re driving dumb and blind. A C.B. Is the difference between you getting a ticket or getting stuck in the right lane when you should be in the left lane!
Most of us can pay attention we dont need a CB ......you old drivers need to mind your business..... learn some grammar too...
Thanks for pointing out my grammar l will try and work on it and have a good day.
What in the world does CB radio do with this video! Some of y’all drivers doesn’t understand how to evolve with new technology, yes I do have a CB radio in my truck, but there is far better technology available now that you don’t even need the CB. So get to know the new technology and you may save something and money
Did my homework last year on this company..God send i meet an ex driver from K&B at Richmond, IN big rest area while i was exercising..He Told me everything your saying and then some..I Never gave K&B another look...almost 20 years driving as we all say im truly Done with O.T.R..its Dead!!!!!!
60 days on the road…that schedule is gonna make you mentally unstable very soon …some sort of PTSD i believe and no resets at all …F*ck ‘em
I just ran 5months straight different company, just wanted to stack a shitload of cash. Took off 4 days, back on tomorrow but only going to run 3-4 weeks and take off 3-4 days again. My company is pretty good but they always fucking dont get me resets until after about 12 days running, always recapping me AT LEAST 12 days before I get my reset. Shits gonna end real quick because im going to skidaddle back to a mega carrier where that shit doesnt happen and I get my breaks when I say im taking em. I get hella miles here though thats what makes it suck to bail, I get 3000 average minimum a week, most weeks are 35-3800 miles.. 2 months ago I ran 4900 miles one week then 4560 the next week.. was killer pay but god damn tired as fuck as solo.
So right I’m glad I saw this video, who wants to work everyday
I work here and the money is good but yes you work everyday for 8 weeks
That sounds good to me. Try working every day and the money is bad.
when you are a OTR driver no matter the company you will work everyday. It sucks but its the truth and always has been since the 1980's Your day off is in some remote truck stop sitting in your truck with nothing to do or anyway much to do anything. Get sick in a truck and its even worse if you have the flu.
😂😂😂 you speak from experience I'm sure, but absolutely correct 💯@@Victorseafog
😊Thanks for the info, i was looking at K B, and now im glad i didn't go, the recruiter keeps calling and texting me! Ii just ignore them . I'm staying where im at
Thank you for the information. Looking forward to more videos.
they brokerage pays pretty good
He reminded me of a video I'll have to make about the time 4 state troopers pulled me over on the interstate and made me unload the company truck I was in after the company called them because I turned the truck around.. great video
I been here about4 months and I have more drop and hooks then live load
Bad time to lease!
Not Really ! Keep in mind that this company already has contrated with a lot shippers there for their rates are consistanly the same.
K&B is a shit company. They don't respect the drivers and their time. They think you don't have a life and act like they own you. And the micromanagement is ridiculous
Modern day Slavery!
Americas dirty secret, Trucking Companies
Good video, stay safe
It’s not the receiver or shipper that doesn’t respect our time it’s the company. Pay us for our time. Over 40 is time and a half. You said it, you can make more on a regular job. The numbers matter. Time is money
K&B work the dogshxt out of you🤦🏾♂️ and the constant recaps they make you do is overwhelming… I had DM Grayson and we always bumped heads… I only recommend KB if you want to make a quick buck but if you want a career out of it DONT‼️
none of these carriers are career jobs. Just stop it. They are McJobs and nearly 100% turnover or more yearly. You can work walmart night stocking and make more. As long as the cdl schools are pumping out new drivers this will continue.
That's called "Burning a bridge".
Thanks for the heads up. I was seriously thinking about hiring on with this company, but not anymore.
K & B is a shit company!! Look up "Run Hard Get Paid." He will tell you everything about that company!!
Money at KB is decent. One pro that he ivan didn't say was free flights for home time to and from. Cell phone policy, most have 2 phones, PC policy ivan was talking about is a Fact or they will ask you to call the Logs department to " fix or touch up your logs". The Relays are a killer. You can be 6 hrs in your break sleep and they will relay the load.
If you sign at Western Express and quit it's $2000, but they don't tell you that in orientation. Big scam they run. That's why they treat people like garbage there to get them to quit so they can collect that money.
It's sad to hear that happen to you. I worked for hirschbach and thankfully, I never had that issue With them. Unfortunately, I left due to personal reasons, but things in my life not happened. I would have definitely stayed there a lot longer.
