    I hated working there. Put in my two weeks notice after only working there for two weeks. They denied my second sign on bonus because I put in my notice. Then after I left the took the first part of my sign on bonus out of my last paycheck, was told that the took the bonus because I only worked there for 28 days. Later I found out they put on my DAC that I had a violation of company policy. When I called and asked about, I was told I did not give a two week notice. They are the worst company I ever worked for.

      Honestly, me personally if I’m going to take a 34 it will be at home. Not at a truck stop. Or worse a customer. They use to let people go home weekly if you lived in anywhere in the middle of the country (iow) anywhere where beef is a big thing. I live in Dallas. So I went home weekly. But they changed it to bi-weekly. I never did road warrior. There really isn’t a difference in pay staying out 2 months vs going home bi-weekly other than you make them a lot of money

    • @JoTrev1
      @JoTrev1 Месяц назад +3

      @@donniexl1033if you run 8-9 hours a day you can run forever without stopping. Running 8-9 hours means you won’t drive over the 70 hours in the 8 day period. Or 60 in the 7 day period. By the 8th day you recap. The way K&B runs when I was there. You didn’t do a lot of driving. Maybe on the weekend runs but you mainly picked up a 1400 mile load drive 500 miles of it or less and give it to someone else. That’s how they do things. They justify it by giving you guaranteed pay. Some weeks it was good because you got paid for 2500 miles and probably only drove 1900 miles. Downside, you sit at places like Tyson live plants, JBS etc. waiting for your trailer. You’ll haul meat loads that sways when driving down the road.

    I approve this message as a former driver, yeah they make 1750 sound good but as this gentleman said the amount of work does not add up and the relays get sickening and like he said you have to be out a certain amount of time and 2000 miles seems light but you constantly tired

      Is that 1750 true man? You have to stay for at least 10 weeks out that’s no problem for me, I need garuanteed money I dont care how they work I need money, I currently work for knight and man pay is worse than horrible sometimes 500,600 up to 1200 on a rare week really bad, I’m just out here praying for a lucky week but never happens

    • @michaelcarey3410
      @michaelcarey3410 8 месяцев назад +2

      @alejandrosotelo5176 it's not the staying out that gets you it's the relays and you will do alot. You are allowed 1 8/2 or 7/3 split within a 24hr period and by FMCSA you are legally required to take a 10hr break. They make you do constant splits which is violation of rules and he is right they manipulate your logs . Part of guarantee is you can't be late for load delivery or pickup and what happens is they will give you a load where you are at a customer and will not have enough hours and contrary to what they say alot of the customer don't give detention so if you get a load and tell them you can't get there do to being delayed they will tell you to get there as soon as you can or relay which means you don't get guarantee. Oh and when you go to orientation keep in mind that your bonus and guarantee will not take affect until after you get on road so your first pay will be partial bonus and whatever miles you get when you leave. If you want to go I can't stop you and wish you the best but do your research

    Also, their truck have:
    Cruise control disabled
    90% of loads will be run at night.
    65 mph
    APU work... sometimes.
    Heater uses kerosene, not diesel, and rarely works.
    You'll freeze during winter and sweat your ass in the summer
    Mid-roof trucks so cramped.
    None of the inside storage spaces have no doors, so craps falling out everywhere. Useless.
    Trucks dont have diff lockers on any drives, so snow, mud, and ice render the truck useless. Midwest = snow, mud, ice
    In order to qualify for the $1,750 gross MINIMUM, you must not be late AND available for dispatch Mon to Mon
    They claim 2500 miles per week....you will rarely get anywhere close to that.
    You'll be running every day, 200, 300, 400 miles, and if you do get 600+, they will relay/T-call off of you to someone else.
    As a matter of fact, expect T-call....all the time. At least 3+ per week.
    The worst of the worst is having to sit at a dock for 3 to 8 hours and then being expected to PC out and having all those hours counted towards your 10 hr break. So, you'll be getting maybe 5 hours to sleep after a minimum of a 14-hour day and the expected to "rest" for 5 hours. Oh, and that is assuming the dispatch doesn't schedule a relay/T-call during your 5 hour "rest." Smh. Worst of the worst treatment.

    You can use PC for parking as long as it’s to a safe destination. You use it by stopping, putting it in PC then when you get to the destination go “on duty” for post trip. Then in the morning you return back to the spot you were originally at in PC, and then stop and put it on duty pretrip. This isn’t illegal, this is actually DOT rules. But you don’t want to do it daily or anything for them to investigate ur logs.

    You sound just a little flippant about trucking in general. You are on point though with everything about K&B.
    No 34 resets? But run split's on my clocks? Not happening! All splits do is take a mediocre recap and stick it in the middle of two 10hr. breaks by splitting the drive clock. I don't mind running recaps on my clocks as long as each recap goes no shorter than 6 hrs. However, I am married to trucking. Like a pro ball player, race car drivers, golfers, bowlers, etc. I love what I do even with all of it's faults. I haven't worked a job yet that did not have struggles and pitfalls. But this is me, I can stay out for a year with no days off. I have done 10 months, 9 months, 7 months and right now I am from the first Dec. '23 without a day off. I don't think twice about it. BUT, 34's help with that and for me not wanting days off from my trade...the 10 days off after two months is boring. But im not trading out to do those splits and bs recaps for what Im currently driving.
    Surprise appointment times at the last minute don't cut it either. I plan my routes for my stops after miles, 10's, 30minutes and where I rest. I've hauled flat, reefer, dry, cranes, all dump's, straight etc. etc. and been on every mountain pass, interstate and every major city in the U.S....every season and stay out all seasons.
    Thanks for the vid. I learned a long time ago to read between the lines of what a recruiter says and what one does not say on key questions
    Wish you the best.

I have nothing but regret. This profession is not worth it. The hours you work, uncompensated time, time away from home, living in a truck, it’s B.S.! Get a normal job, work 40 hrs a week . Even local trucking jobs you work too many hours usually 5 1/2 to 6 days and 10-12 hrs a day + and you’re too tired to do anything but eat and sleep when you get home . So for the current sales point in orientation the head of safety talks about a driver dieing due to falling asleep at the wheel. He literally smirked about it as he casually tries to intimidate people because he is a former cop. Then says “splits are what we run”, get your big boy pants on. And then says if anyone complains about, direct them to me. “ I know how to speak cop”.

    To answer the question about 2weeks and why some like it...they don't tell you that some have records and KandB pays for tickets or fees and in return they owe them so they have to tow the line...they will try and hold last check and check your DAC after you leave sir

    I’m so glad I didn’t accept the invitation to come to orientation… I’ve heard to many horror stories, in the reviews I’ve read that on the first day of orientation, 17 drivers sent home, something not right about that, and if you quit it’s your on responsibly to find a ride to the airport 💩💩💩

    • @CryptoXmen
      @CryptoXmen 8 месяцев назад +2

      Drivers get sent home for lying on they application, they do a serious background check and require your most previous employer to verify that you worked there, if they can’t get it from your most recent employer, they will try to get it from you and if they can’t get concrete evidence of your most recent employment from you then they’ll send you home. Also, they take health examinations seriously, I know a guy who was deemed a disability risk and they let him go in the middle of orientation after visiting the health physician and he was ex-military, another guy got let go because he was overweight and couldn’t pass the medical examination - blood sugar requirement. And there are others who fail the drug test.

    I will say this, the dispatcher I had was cool as hell. Very laid back. The people in the office were cool. The problem with K&B is the ones above the dispatchers and staff. They’re total nazis. The one and only good thing about K&B is the guaranteed pay. Some weeks I got paid for 2500 miles and didn’t drive 2500 miles. Anyone who works there or have worked there knows how the loads are. I don’t mind the relays. It just meant more drop and hook. So it wasn’t always live loads on both ends. The weeks I didnt run 2500 miles were the ones where I got caught up at a Tyson or something like that. They left me alone on weekends, i generally got longer runs on the weekends. And they were on point about getting me home when it was time. Like I said, the dispatch was great. Overall I don’t think it’s worth going there because they fire you for anything. No second chances. One screw up, you’re gone. No exceptions. Like I said the higher ups are a bunch of nazis.

    Money at KB is decent. One pro that he ivan didn't say was free flights for home time to and from. Cell phone policy, most have 2 phones, PC policy ivan was talking about is a Fact or they will ask you to call the Logs department to " fix or touch up your logs". The Relays are a killer. You can be 6 hrs in your break sleep and they will relay the load.

    Terrible company guys…they don’t care about your rest. They will literally have you up and running 24/7…they constantly call you give you unreasonable appointments by double booking you. And if you quit they get in their feelings and try to withhold your last check…absolutely worst company i had the misfortune of driving for…the .70 cpm aint worth the headache. They have drivers in prison because they fell asleep behind the wheel trying to do as dispatch tell them. The reviews are real apply at your own risk

    Biggest red flag= Yes, you are correct about using personal conveyance. If you are caught, it will result in a violation on your PSP report. Many reputable local companies take this into consideration. This could potentially be a deal breaker, so the question to consider is whether it is worth it in the long run.

    • @benniahhah1783

      No it won’t, pc’ing out of the receiver is legal, as long as you go to the nearest truck stop to break while empty

    • @f.j.c4444
      @f.j.c4444 4 месяца назад

      Yes, but it depends on the situation. You can use your PC if you experience a delay at the shipper or receiver. For example, if your logs show that you arrived at the shipper with only 10 minutes left on your clock, and then three hours later you used your PC to move to a nearby truck stop that indicates it was not delayed by shipper. the DOT could flag it as a violation if they choose to. He states that loads were tight and had to use pc.

Some of y’all drivers doesn’t understand how to evolve with new technology, yes I do have a CB radio in my truck, but there is far better technology available now that you don’t even need the CB.
