    Thanks for the in-depth look at the trucks never seen it done like that and of coarse every situation at these companies is different… I spoke with Blair on the phone they wouldn’t tell me the trucks they had available but you want me to come to orientation and find out now that’s “stupid gone crazy!”😂 the one thing to me it seems they take more you said you get 65% and the payments on just the truck is higher $890 a weeek but if you can still make money it seems like a good path to ownership in a short amount of time ( and I’m not trying to be negative) I’m in a lease situation myself with a 2020 kw , $700 a/wk…on truck itself and total base expenses, including truck payment escrow etc.. fuel not included is $1091 a/wk… for 2 yrs, I do have the ballon so I’m not looking to buy the truck I’m just leasing it only saying all this to say there are so many different situations and I like the fact that you put all the details out there many people don’t do that and you really need all the facts in order to make a good decision and the companies have you come to these orientations knowing that they are not telling the driver all the facts which contributes to the high turnover rate and lack of driver retention so shot out to you Bro for going into detail like that

    What is the overall condition of these used trucks before they go on the road?
    You’re putting a lot of emphasis into that warranty to keep them running.

      They train students to get their CDL if needed and as far as leasing, they require 6 months experience. Yeah freight is not what it should be right now everyone but summer is a good time for that bed so things are about to pick back up

    Got a question for you brother. First things first I appreciate your time and information you’re putting out there for the rest of us drivers. I’m looking at Boyd Bros LP and CRST LP. CRST pays 70-75% of the linehaul+100% Fuel Surcharge+Tarp fees….-Minus- the weekly fixed expenses:::occupational and bobtail ins, truck payment, trailer rent, permits, registration, bond, transflo, qualcom, securement equip, equip ins, maint, and fuel……All of that gets taken out of your weekly total settlements of 75%(they’re claiming drivers still make $2000-$2500 net after all of that)……..With all that being said my question is the about 65% of the settlement Boyd offers…Are some of those fixed expenses already being taken out and that’s why it’s only 65%? Or do you get the 65% and then they still take all of those fixed expenses out?

    • @LoveandLifeLLC
      @LoveandLifeLLC  6 месяцев назад +2

      Without owning the truck, you get only 65%, if you paid the lease off or bring in your own truck, then you get 70%. If you became a trainer, then you get an additional 5% on both those amounts so 65 to 70 or 70 to 75%. Fixed expenses are about the same usual ones you mentioned except you don’t pay a trailer rental fee with Boyd. No balloon payments on any of their trucks. But yeah for the most part, unless the amounts you pay for the fixed expenses are different, it’s typically the same across most programs.

Frank told me right now they aren't converting any company truck to the lease fleet right now due to the number of trucks already in the lease fleet. I haven't seen any 2020 or older boyd trucks with a apu. Now I have seen some of the older Hornady trucks with them though

    Hello. I read through all the comments & didn't see this addressed. The 65% of revenue for lease drivers & 70% of the hauls plus 100% of the fuel surcharge for owner operators is clearly listed on the website. Do lease operators also get 100% of the fuel surcharge & 65% of the haul or is it 65% of everything? Thanks.

    • @scmarine843
      @scmarine843 7 месяцев назад

      @MissJazziBri It's an easy process and easy book and go deal (load booking), no doubt, but you're overworking yourself to net a decent wage with them paying the contractor 65%. They're not contractor friendly either. They won't work on your truck, although they have shops at their limited and small terminals. I found fault in their assistance when calling about addresses, detention, or layover pay, and I had loads cancel too often without compensation. At that point, your workweek is altered too much, and JB provided absolutely nothing. Find a company offering a higher percentage and make more for less mileage on your tractor and less out of you.

      @MissJazziBri Keep in mind, my opinion is only mine. You may go and find that you like it. Others may speak highly of them. Wish you the best.
