Weller's are needles in haystacks out here. My 1st and only Weller is A107(paid $56 it's now 59) I've had two pours in 3 months and will stay that way until I score a backup or two, absolutely love it. State of PA we need ya tomorrow in a BIG way, Country over feelings 2024.
I don't understand why SR is even on the scondary market in some groups. It's a super thin $27 screw top grocery store whiskey. It's harder to find, but doable everywhere if you are persistent on the Walmart app. I keep a couple bottles for guests who want to try it. I used to buy it at $22 a handle, mix it with ginger ale and sip it by the pool.
@@BourbonOfTheWeekI don't know about that. My 2 groups are not that bad. I never see SR. I see 12 from $100 to $125. 107 is a unicorn here . I see it around $150. That's bad. Full Proof goes $175 to $200 even though it is more common than OWA 107. I personally wouldn't go that high for any of them, but it's way below bourbon museums.
From the secondary values you gave, it looks like areas are a bit different. In my local Wsib is 450-475, cypb is 375-400, wfp is 170, w12 is 130-160, owa 100-120. WSR sits on the shelf for retail at 25 I believe. Definitely interesting on how markets differ
There are days I wish the secondary wasn't so crazy, but then I watch a weller video, and I'm glad people are paying outrageous prices for these. Weller is an average whiskey that should sit on the shelves with everything else.
Bourbon museum and online prices are ridiculous. The secondary groups are about true supply and demand. I see Stagg as low as $120. Weller 12 in my area is way down, too. I see it at $100 sometimes. Eagle Rare settles around $50 and is used mostly as currency for trades.
Have not been able to try CYPB. To my palate SiB is bar far the worst. But in general I am not a big fan of the Weller line. Used to love 107, but with all the new “available” and cheaper stuff out now, it hits my palate very harsh now. Maybe in time I’ll like it again.
12 year is good pour but lacks complexity and finish as it fades fast, still delicious at first.... full proof is okay and of course OWA107 is probably the best overall... the store picks for each are always better so hunt for a couple of those

So glad you did this video. People are nuts over paying for Weller driving the pricing up. Hope to see more like this. Cheers
@@Mr_Martell850 thanks! This was a lot of fun, secondary makes no sense to me

Awesome Blind! Recently got 3 Full proof under 110 each ! Now i can justify… lolz
But 107 one my favorite bourbon ever.

Only own and tried the 107 and SR. Glad I can pretty much avoid the others for the price.

Went as expected, I’ve only ever gotten the WSR.😢
Keep hunting!
of the 5 I've had I would rank em FP, 12,107, SiB, SR
@@DumptruckDAV3 do it blind
Lately I’ve been feeling like the whole line is over hyped. Would go with a Knob 12 or Rare Breed over them most days.
Id take full proof and 107 at MSRP the rest can go
⁴@BourbonOfTheWeek WFP is my favorite of the bunch as well.
Not surprised the SiB was last followed by CYPB. Both are overrated hype bottles in my opinion. I’d take 107 and 12 over both all day!
Id be inclined to agree at this point
Yeah single barrel isn't great. But could just be the barrel that i have. I chose one over a Coy Hill. I kick myself every day
I finally got a CYPB and Single Barrel to complete the rainbow. 🥃

Long-time weller drinker here. Stop the hate. The 12 is my all time favorite wiskey. That full proof is right there as well.

I would rank these the same you ended up ranking them. I think Single Barrel is over rated for sure.
