Market Close 3 Jul 24: ASX snaps losing streak

Investors shrugged off a hotter than expected update on consumer spending, helping the Aussie market snap its 2-day losing streak. Miners provided the most support, while tech stocks were higher too after the Nasdaq hit a record high.
