The little cave that goes underwater would be a great secret entrance into an underwater fight club! I vote underwater trident arena for sure!

Scar dying from kinetic energy on gem's power line is hilarious, he totally proved how dangerous it is to get zapped by an " active " powerline 😂😂😂😂😂😂
"Goodtimeswithscar experienced electrical energy"
@@amiablereaper _GoodTimeWithScar got ElectroBOOMed whilst trying to escape Zombie_
Getting clotheslined by an active powerline would be such a brutal way to die...
@@lasercraft32 To be fair, as long as you don't create a path for current flow (touching two wires at once) or path to ground (touching the line support), you would in theory be safe. Parachutists have survived getting caught on power lines many times... because they were lucky enough to only make contact with _one,_ and someone found a way to get them down afterwards.
Yeah Karma is a jerk maybe he shouldn’t be cooking eScaRgot😂
8:25 Doc saying: “this feels like when Ironman died” after the 2nd round was peak comedy
FR
Doc is so real for saying Gem losing to Joel felt like when Ironman died.
Don't worry Gem you'll always be Geminislay!!
to be fair, she got him down to half a heart in round 2. if she'd got just 1 more hit in, she'd have won round 2, & there'd have to be a tie-breaker. Also, IDK much Gem has dueled Joel 1v1, so depending how much experience she has fighting him & from how long ago, she might just not be used to HOW he fights, in which case she'd just need to get more practice fighting him, & then she'd probably wipe the floor with him like she does most of the server.
@@steamenginestudiosthe main issue is definitely the server connection between them and the lag. There were multiple times where Gem clearly should have hit Joel but it didn't register. The whole fight feels pretty laggy in general. Gem however was an amazing sport and congratulated her opponent even though she likely knew why he won. She's so sweet
In Joel's video you can see she replied to him "You guys need to stop acting like I ever held the throne" or something like that 😂
It's GeminiSlay vs BrawlishBeans

“Escargo? Escar-NO!” is absolute top tier, flawless execution. Thank you Gem
"Escar-no" is one of the nicknames I thought of for Grian's snail back when it was the only one and it kept getting in trouble. It was neat hearing it from Gem, even though it was under very different circumstances.
"Es cargo? Si, es cargo!"- Larry the Snail, on the back of the train. 🐌
Needs more butter.
I swear she throws at least one pun mid-sentence in every single video without drawing attention to it. I love it!
Hearing Scar's absolute panic and complete lack of context given from this side is incredible. He could have just ASKED, but went the "cookies and cakes and mysterious seating" route.
i honestly thought he was trying to trap gem to put her in the zoo, similar vibes to kidnapping afk grian for the boatem hole
o/
i love that Grians and your bases have kind of melded togather, thre the horse tunnle, the power lines which have been extended to his side, and the overall similsr themes
Is the horse tunnel finished? I haven't seen the horse bubble elevator yet!
@@Ersa0431 i dont think the elevator is done yet atleast not on video yet but the tunnle its self is usable and finished

Scar making Gem watch him run laps around her lighthouse is giving "young child trying to convince his mother to watch him do "a trick" while she's in the middle of doing something important" energy. 😂
I know this way too well oh my gosh I work as an early childhood educator
Anyone else feel like this may turn into a Pokémon gym situation? Where all the hermits have themed fighting arenas. Grian could have a fishing one, Cub a firework one, etc.
8:26 “This feels like when iron man dies” Lokey felt that
I think an underwater trident fight club with a conduit would fit your theme well and be a unique PVP arena!
That could be a cool way to use that underwater cave between her base and etho's
yes absolutely... with a (pirate) ship wreck!
Ooh a conduit would be good. I was thinking underwater with turtle helmets and the lack or air would be part of the challenge. But a conduit would be cool too.
I was thinking it could have underwater and land areas, maybe even the underwater areas could be split so there's one in the air held up by signs and you can move between the areas with riptide or water falling down
And with some redstone, you could make timers that let out drowned after like 5 minutes so the pressure keeps up
Joel, being obssessed with Etho, took to heart when you called his obssession washed up
what are you talking about? joel is not obsessed with etho, etho is obsessed with joel!
Who called who washed up?? In what episode or series was it??? Please explain 😭
@@LusiFair It's a joke that started in the Limited Life season of Grian's Life series. Etho got called "washed up" and the ensuing reactions were funny enough that it's become a recurring reference for multiple people, especially those who took part in Limited Life.
@@LusiFair Etho Is Commonly Referred To As Washed Up. An Easy Example Is Throughout Episodes Of Secret Life, Ex. 'He Really Is Washed Up!' (Grian About Etho, Episode 7 IIRC)
Thank you sm for explaining!! :)
8:58 Scar yelling “ow” as he hits the power lines is too good
The trident fight club neeeeeeeds to go down that secret underwater entrance. It's too perfect.
Also! I think your crane needs a couple more blocks out the end of it. The rope with the hook is usually on a pulley that goes along the top part, and it would look more like it would be able to pick up a boat and move it if it was just a bit longer on the end. The rope and hook though could stay in the same place
When I saw the underwater cave, my first thought was a secret pirate cove. When Joel invited you to fight club, that just made the idea even better!! I'd say give each person two tridents, one with riptide, and one with loyalty. The arena can be a Pirate beach with half water, half palm trees and fort
This is the best idea for the fight club I have read through the comments thusfar
Yes
i was thinking sort of along the lines of that with 2 tridents, but it should be an arena that randomly switches between land and underwater with dispensers
This is exactly what I would suggest as well.
Maybe add 2-4 small islands in the arena as well.
Gem has a build idea folks!!

scar dying to kinetic energy whilst flying into a powerline is

Gem has hands down been my favorite hermit this season. I’m new to her stuff and I just love her style and uplifting and upbeat attitude!
I love the idea of a completely underwater arena for Trident fighting. Setup a conduit so the fighters can breath, and offer different enchantments like riptide and impaling and they have to choose which way to fight.
What if it started completely dry, but a new layer of water was added with redstone every few seconds, leaving the fighters to fight or drown once it filled completely!
Love both these ideas
@@jackandrews8098I absolutely love that idea
Impaling sadly does nothing but at least they can make it either riptide or loyalty
For anyone who hasn’t seen Joel’s POV his intro for the fight was actually really cool
So was his Honey Honey Honey song 😂
oh yeah that song was great!@@BrightStick14
Your builds got me hooked on a 7 hour play through of Dredge that I watched in one evening and I’m not regretful in the slightest.
A mix of land and sea would make the trident fight club super dynamic!
The little sewer-way underwater would also be the coolest entrance for the trident fighting arena! Sounds like the perfect match :)
I think an underwater arena with riptide tridents would be sick. Throwing tridents is a bit redundant with bows which will likely be done by someone else.
A bow arena would acc b quite cool (I hadn’t thought about that). I hope the hermits commit to the fight clubs idea, cuz it’s honestly rlly fun
good idea
If a trident doesn't have loyalty, can anyone pick it up? That would add an entirely new element of strategy.
Yes. Something tells me riptide PvP would be hilarious.
@@deathnstuff surely Scar has to do that one...?
DEFINITELY DO BOTH!!
do a arena with several water puddles, and each player gets a loyalty trident PLUS a riptide one.
Just imagine people flying in the air from the water and throwing the loyalty trident to their opponents!
i like the idea of riptide and loyalty
The little underwater cave could be a lovely hiding place for some scary monsters, maybe a moray eel, with sculk too make it extra spooky
The server should do Hermit Olympics around end of July beginning of August to coincide with the 2024 Olympics!! That’d be such a fun Hermit event like I’m a marketing genius!
It’d be a lot more interesting than the IRL Olympics, too.
LMAO I second the whole sentiment 😂 that is an unironically genius idea & I’d love to see it happen fr
This would be awesome like they did during golf in season 6 I believe with Team EU vs Team USA and maybe they can add a team Canada as well two make 3 teams
Hermits Killympics. It’s like the Olympics, but just different forms of consensual murder
Can end up being a heck of a Live-Stream for a weekend too. Then people's perspectives in an edited form on their channels.
I love how when someone does something weird or out-of-the-ordinary in or around her base, Gem just immediately knows it was Grian’s doing
Complimentary base building is an amazing artistic endeavour I didn't realise was so deeply layered. It's amazing how the mountain is evolving.
Looove the idea of the trident arena within that cove/ sewer / water cave you are hoping to bring to life! As always, amazed by the creativity and inspiration of GeminiSlay 🥰
A fun idea - not sure how well the concept would translate to Minecraft, but building a town hall made out of an upturned ship’s hull could be a really interesting addition! A “town hull” if you will :p
That would be cool!
Like it
“This feels like when Iron Man died” - Doc 😭😭
I'm totally hooked on dredge, thank you! I work in the shipbuilding/repair sector and have been in quite a few shipyards over the years. For a 'dredge' sized boat here in the UK out of the water maintenance is usually done by hauling up a slipway in a wheeled cradle on rails rather than in a dry dock, although bigger fishing boats do get dry docked, so you are spot on deciding to go the cradle route rather than digging out a dry dock. There are also ship lifts where a cradle is positioned onto a platform which is lowered into the water to berth the ship/boat and then raised up level with the quay. Once at quay level the cradle can usually be moved on a rail system into sheds so that several vessels can be worked on at the same time without blocking up the shiplift. Essentially you have built a kind of shiplift, which although fantasy and cartoony, does fit perfectly with how it might be done in real life, so well done there - research pays off! Your crane looks more like a building crane than a shipyard crane, but there will be very few viewers nerdy enough to know that and it works well in your compact shipyard :)
I have only been watching you since the "secret life" series. I have become more impressed with the depth of your content as hermitcraft season 10 has gotten underway. Thanks for adding some jubilence to my days with your lovely personality.
word of the day "jubilance" :)
The hermits are never gonna let Cleo forget the "washed up" comment are they?
It's even funnier when you realize Etho is the one who called himself washed up, not Cleo.
Not at all…
@@prismanic24yeah but it was in response to Cleo saying that his skills are from older editions of the game

"washed up" isn't something Cleo invented, it's a common saying on the internet
Trident fight club in that underwater cave you found? Could be a good hidden in plain sight kind of entrance. And have it flooded and conduit-empowered for a truly spectacular theming!
I think it would be awesome for them to drop in via the garage for the initiation but the normal entrance exit is the little underwater cave
Trident fight club in the underwater cave would be a nice way to enter the fight club. I could imagine a moderately large, 3 dimensional arena with 2 PvP environments: land based and underwater (riptide?)
An arena design something like the Horcrux Cave (from Harry Potter) with a lot more lighting and a central floating island/platform hopefully fits in with the aquatic theme and we’ll see some different/longer fights.
(My inspiration was from seeing players dive into water to evade hits/heal from unrelated Minecraft Manhunts.)
A PVP Trident arena ... Joel is brilliant and fits so well in your theme and adds a touch of "slay" to the build.
The underwater arena absolutely has to be underwater with the center piece being a conduit that allows you to breathe. It would be super cool and a super different feeling to any other PVP.
11:26 In case you're interested Gem, those tyres are called fenders (because they fend off the boat from the wharf), and while tyres can be used as fenders, there are often specifically built fenders that tend to look like thick rubber balloons

In hermitcraft season 7 Etho made a cool trident fighting arena called "RipZone" which had both water and land features.
The combat was based around using the riptide enchantment for movement, and you can optionally have a loyalty trident in the kit for a ranged attack.
i would love to see etho do a fight club
I love the idea of the fight club being a renovated shipwreck! definitely something underwater
just adding the mix of fence posts and lighting rods onto the crane really completed the look of it. never underestimate the power of little details.
For Fight Club: Have fight club under water with riptide tridents, or loyalty tridents (Fighter's pick) and custom balanced gear for fighting under water.. and use a conduit!!!! maybe have a ref(Villager) and a custom music disk saying "3... 2... 1... FIGHT!"
and hazards using magma and soul sand bubble blocks!
why did we have the same idea😭
I want to see an arena that slowly floods!
a custom disc like that would be awesome :)
I think the trident fight arena having two layers would be cool. One more land-based level for loyalty combat and some kind of tank underneath for more riptide shenanigans.
I think a fun way to handle the trident arena is with both riptide, and dolphins. Same trick Etho showed off last season, and Grian tried to make the road with.
So that way people will be blasting around at high speed and launching themselves at each other.
Just imagine the chaos~
When I imagine trident pvp, I think: giant glass cube filled with water inside of an arena similar to Joel’s. Bleachers surrounding where spectators can cheer on the fighters inside the cube. Also, definitely riptide for the chaos factor.
Before Gem joined I'm pretty sure Etho built a mini-game centered around the riptide enchantment. I remember that trident-arena as pretty cool. I believe the floor was covered in water, and then there was pools in different tiers and you used the trident to fling yourself around
I think it was for the Mycelium Games
It was called ripzone and he build it for the turf war in season 7
This reminds me of the trident golf from season 6
I think an underwater arena with a conduit and dolphins would be amazing! 2 players zipping across everywhwere! xD
that grian clip from season 9 lol
20:42 “escar-no” gem said calmly
i picture a mostly underwater arena, with dry seating for an audience and a small amount of air pocket at the top as well, so you could maybe theoretically have some riptide through the air action in play? The little partially submerged cave to a fully underwater cave also feels like a great entrance opportunity, but secret redstone doors are also really fun option! that's just my 2 cents tho :3
thanks Gem. Amazing content as always.
Fight Club ideas: 60/40 split water to land. think 1 central island and 2 satellite islands for the fighters to start on. could even put a tunnel under the main island
use a conduit (better for recording) and keep tridents to riptide only.
now the kicker is that the arena should look like a lush cave with moss and glow berries and clay blocks and coral decorations ( a little advertising could never hurt)
digging out a whole cave is a lot, so even though it is a bit far from your repair shop. the open area under tango base (where you built the boat tunnel) had a large drop off and could be utilized. hopefully nothing was built is that section yet.
either way whichever way you end up going with will be amazing and entertaining and bring a lot on interactions
You're Dredge build-style is really cool. One of my absolute favorites this season for sure!
I've been watching a great RUclips channel called "Sailing Parley Revival." The channel owner, Colin bought a hurricane damaged boat and began restoring it, intending to eventually sail around the world. He has had many drydock experiences repairing the boat along the way.
I REALLY feel like this season is going to be the best when it comes to the aesthetics!
I can just imagine the builds flowing from Pearl's solarpunk to Tango's steampunk, to Gem and Grian's nautical and water themes, to Scar's steam train + zoo, to Joel's japanese retrofuturism, to Impulse and Bdubs' Cyberpunk
Gem make that water tunnel the entrance to your fight club and make it water themed like Joel made it lava themed and do it underground with water puddles. Love your video’s gem and I love to see how geminibay get’s it shape ❤❤❤
Yeahhh
geminibay lol
It's actually perfect how you and Grian are neighbors this season, your styles match so well!! definitely most excited to see where your guys bases go!!
I also love that when you looked at the crane, you could see through to your lighthouse almost perfectly
Scar flying into the powerlines and dying makes them even more realistic😭😭
You should make the little water cave into a "sewage exit" but it would actually be a secret entrence into the underwater fight club
Gem saying “thank you for watching” like we weren’t waiting an entire week for this. Thank you for posting.
Yeah, Gem Is Great
For the trident fight club, you could structure it sort of like in the pro bender arena in Legend of Korra. Have a platform in the middle, but then surround it with water. People could then knock each other into the water, or dive down to dodge, etc. It'd give people a lot of versatility in their fighting
I love the little dock build for the fight club, but also in the skull it could be like the colosseum
The Sightline of your base from Skizzes base is amazing with crane framing the lighthouse and the rest of the builds within it.
Also putting the arena in the skull with a pirate-y theme would be amazing. Imagine it being at the bottom of the skull with light beaming in through the eyes.
Trident arena should definitely be partly under water and on land in a glass box so you can see them swimming
I can't believe you managed to include Etho in 1 of your titles! You're always so kind, Gem!
I think maybe it could be cool, where similar to Joel, your entrance item for the trident fight club is a note that answers a barrel's question.
"What story is told by pirates of the sea?"
"Dead men tell no tales"
🏴☠
Etho built a trident pvp mini game a few seasons ago that had a lot of really cool ideas. Waterlogged slabs and falling water streams gave a ton of maneuverability. Each person could have a riptide AND a loyalty trident so they have to balance movement with offense
I think each fighter should have two tridents. One riptide, and one loyalty. And certainly under water!
It would be so cool to have a very cave-ish/gladiator style fighting arena. Tridents were actually used in gladiator fights so that would be kinda fun to include. I'm imagining more water features, not full fish tank (although that sounds cool too). AAACK I'm looking forward to what you make!!
"could you follow me real quick?"
"let me turn you down first"
The single word in-between makes a lot of difference there
That part about the boat and being a bad driver driving into things is so funny to me.
That's because it immediately makes me think about how damn annoying it always was to just NUDGE the shore or a lilypad or something and because of that,
BOOM!
My boat has now become a pile of sticks and planks 😐 thanks Minecraft

😂😂 I'm ded
An axe fight club would be neat. I'm imagining a gridded arena, where the squares are different heights for strategies on critting. It would also be cool to see maybe pistons that raise random squares maybe even during the fight
I think having the fight club be underwater would be great, it would ad a twist of having to go an breathe in air bubbles around the arena
Trident Fight Club would be awesome, I hope she ends up actually making one
Perfect! I’ve got so many tubes of….oh wait.
I think the arena should be 50% underwater and 50% above water, with some platforms above the water. This would combine both basic pvp elements on the platforms, as well as underwater riptide shenanigans
I have a lot of idea of how to make the secret door in the garage, the best ideas are:
- to have an old school but not really known dirt block that you transform into farmland to stop the redstone signal
- a redstone torch on the bottom block of a 🌴 (there's thousands of tutorials for this)
And for the door, I think the only valid one is the Jeb door, easy to do and literally invisible
I imagine the trident arena as a wide open natural watery arena where participants can use both riptide and loyalty tridents, jumping around from one hanging oasis to another, and swirling through boxes of pure water held together by fence gates or some sort. The floor is all water to avoid falling to death, and the walls are covered with waterfalls and greenery.
For the trident arena you should have it underwater with a conduit. I also think it would be cool to use the fact that Riptide tridents can deal damage when you swim into someone with them. Excited t see what you come up with :)
A Gem episode always brightens my day!
Here’s an idea for the trident fight club arena! You could build one arena but have dispensers as the ceiling of just the arena, there could be a lever to toggle underwater PVP and the rest of the time it could be trident throwing!
That little cave in the corner is the perfect spot for a secret entrance, but I'm actually gonna say make it a mixed air and water fight club. Add conduit power for the water section, and you get both a Riptide trident and a Loyalty one.
The air section is full of floating or hanging platforms, which you can riptide up to for an advantage throwing the other trident down. Ideally the fight flows back and forth between the water and air.
“this feels like when iron man died” doc is so funny. gem is never going to get rid of geminislay
You could do a trident areana thats got an underwater pool and an above water area, two tridents each, one for throwing and one for riptide, so lots of jumping up and throwing and dashing around.
"ESCAR-NO!" New favorite gem moment right there.
I'm really liking the Dredge theming this season, I just played through Dredge for the first time not too long ago and just finished getting all the achievements (finding all the aberrant fish took a while). The game has a really nice visual style which is cool to see used in a build.
I love the Dredge-inspired build! Such a great, underated game!
I love how gem researches real-world things to enhance her builds, it really adds some depth to her base and its super fun to see her take on real things within a minecraft world!
Trident fight club sounds awesome. I've never used a trident in pvp, but having a mixed wet/dry arena sounds really cool.
You could have the floor be covered in 1 layer of water everywhere, with some pillars sticking out of the water as cover and vantage points, and some deeper pools to hide in, or possibly a whole second floor underneath submerged in water.
Then put 1 or 2 levels of depth strider and water breathing on the armor, and give them a loyalty and riptide trident so they can use either during combat.
It would all go really well as a coral reef theme too.
I think the fight club should be underground with dispensers in the roof that can fill the room with water if needed, allowing for a riptide AND loyalty mode in one.
I was thinking, with your shops you and Grian could probably share the coral and prismarine permits, which would make it a lot easier on you to gather the prismarine
a spherical underwater trident arena with a cover throughout would be really neat. players would orbit around a nest of coral and prismarine to try to stay in cover while lining up shots
if you riptide into someone, it’ll deal damage i think about the same as throwing a trident, so an underwater arena would be super cool
you could even keep a dolphin in the arena (provided its in a bubble column lol) for the speed and a conduit so the battles can last longer
Your builds are probably my favorite this season, tied with keralis and bdubs. You do such a good job with those medium scale details like the power lines and structural shapes of things
Trident Arena idea:
Give the fighters two tridents, one with Loyalty, one with Riptide. Make so the arena has floating platforms (like small wooden rafts) above somewhat deep water with conduits for night vision and breathing. The fighters will have the choice of going underwater or land, and using both tridents however they want to kill their oponent. Give low armor so the fight does not take too long, as targeting with a trident can be tricky with people flying around.
love how u can just barely hear scar say "ow" before he launched himself to death into a powerline
I feel like the arena should have a fully submerged bit and a dry bit. Maybe like an arena surrounded by deep water, holes in the arena here and there. I also think it would be cool if the combatants could choose between riptide and loyalty.
Both would be cool!
I think having a land pvp arena in the docking building as well as a water arena in the secret underwater cave, like others are saying, would be amazing! And they could probably connect up together underground but still keep two entrances, one through the cave and one through the building. Excited to see what you'll do!
