I got my first Gundog, 5 months now. We started by placing him on a piece of stone tile outside the hen house. We opened the hen enclusore, they come out. We go inside and do the chores and when we come out he's rewarded with an egg. Now he sits like statue. :)
I notice you mentioned releasing him with the "OK" command. I didnt notice any of the other videos in this play list mentioning or teaching that. How and when would I go about introducing that?
Its the release word. So to charge the release marker all you have to do is say “okay” or “yes” then feed. Same concept as clicker training. I also notice he does a tactile release by touching the dog and saying okay at the same time. Its a good method to really teach and proof your dog to “stay”
He's doing so good!! I wish I had a full day everyday to work with my dogs. If only my Brit listened half so well.
