Omg i will definitely follow your training. Im getting my yellow lab this coming saturday oct 26 he is 9 weeks old. I am so very excited. ❤though i was able to train my lab and rottie my own way. I will try yours to see which one is the easiest.
Thank you for watching our videos! Congratulations on your new lab! We actually have an online training course available that shows you step by step how to train your puppy from 8 weeks to a year old. It’s broken up into easy to follow lessons that can be completed by older puppies and dogs too! Check it out here: www.standingstonekennels.com/courses
I've never read a book so fast! ruclips.net/user/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU Learning about his dogs and experiences was just the icing on the cake - bed this book through and through. We're working with our new pup and Brandon's advise was just what I needed. Wish he'd just come and train for me haha but it's good for us and happy to have this new set of tools to use on our pup.
Where’s the best place to put the crate during the day? Should my pup be able to see me going about my business or should I be out of view? I’m trying to get my pup used to being crated when I have to leave him for short periods of time. He’s a 9 week old lab & sleeps great in his crate at night.
These are super informative videos. Thank you. If we start a puppy in a smaller kennel and switch to a bigger one does it confuse them if its a completely different kennel style? Kennels can be quite pricey so I am trying to figure out a cost effective but also have a successful training strategy.
You two are great!!! We are getting our first GSP pup in a few months!!! Very excited!! I have watching all of your video’s and they are amazing!!! Thank you!!
Great info. We'll be watching more. We aren't new to having healthy, happy pups. But it has been a few years and your training vids are a great reminder of how to make your dog's training successful for years of companionship.
I have a 6 month old gsp. I keep his kennel in my room and he does great at night. I tired switching gears and putting him in the living room night to learn more independence and he barks and howls. Am I giving him anxiety by doing this? Can he learn to be in a different room at night?
Should crate always be in same room in the house or can moving it around confuse the puppy? I'm thinking about at bedtime as i am expecting whining at first?
We just got an 8 week old black lab female...I have started crate training but when I put her in she will just bark and bark and bark ..do I just let her bark it out?? She was never crate trained at her breeder's...she will bark non stop at night ..HELP
@@winterblxssomx1765why are you still forcing a 3 yr lab into a crate? At that age you are just putting your dog in a prison cell, that’s a sad life. Only point of a crate is for young pups that need time to potter train or can’t be trusted alone in the house. At 3 your lab should be well beyond that.
I just watched your video and I am going to get a Labrador retriever puppy and was wondering if it is possible to train the dog well without a clicker?
Do you need put a American Labrador puppy in the crate at first night bringing home to avoid whinninng at bedtime?B4 Put the Puppy inside the crate you need to first do Potty training?

Wonderful! Good luck with the new pup and thank you for subscribing!
What about a kibble piece inside the crate
I hope to adopt a GSP. I have not had a pet for a companion and I love watching your videos.
Terrific video! Easy to follow steps, and best of all the training is aimed a promoting some "dog thinking", problem solving as well.
Thanks for watching! We don't always get to capture that, but we love too when we can!
wow sprig has really grown!!!!! XD
Yes he has!!

I taught my old lab, "go to your room".
Haha love it!

You can definitely move your crate around! You should check out our crate training tips video: ruclips.net/video/76fcEnMg8yg/видео.html
I know this video is old, but does anyone know if he's using kibble as the "reward" or a high value treat?
I heard him say kibble around the 13:00 minute mark can anyone confirm
Love your channel thanks for all the great videos.
Thanks for watching!
Great videos, guys! Where do you have Sprig stay, sleep, or located when you guys are not around prior to starting the crate training?
Nice video!! Ty!
P.s. where did you find that metal tree wall art??

That’s no fun at all. Where do you keep the crate at?
@@StandingStoneKennels it's in our living room..I just want to know what i can do to help her accept the crate
I have a 5-6 month old that I want to train. Do you later move away from the treats and just use the clicker later in trainings?
We do when we start collar conditioning!
My 8 month chocolate lab barks and whine when even in a kennel for a second
Mine does to and she’s 3 years old lol

Nice Training, Sir 😊
Once you’ve trained the dog with a clicker will it still work without the clicker
I just watched your video and I am going to get a Labrador retriever puppy and was wondering if it is possible to train the dog well without a clicker?
I recommend buying one, they are quite cheap and effective
What kind of crate is this?:)
It's a Lucky Duck crate. Here's our video reviewing our faves: ruclips.net/video/LnH_CA4mNXg/видео.html
Great videos. Thanks.
Is there a way to do this without clicker training?
Many different ways to place/kennel train

What treats do you use for their reward?
danny black food is a great option because it is in little pieces...a lot of treats are bad for the dog
Can i still win the crate? 😂
Haha, you're a little late!
