If I’m being honest this is probably my favourite iteration of the Batmobile. It’s tough, utilitarian and rugged. Fits this younger version of Batman perfectly

I like how this batmobile felt like it was built by Bruce itself, not to fancy, just made from scraps. That's what it really make it very amazing.

According to the very much canon prelude novel to the movie, Bruce found the car and began basically building it up to start street racing in his teens and he saved a racer who Edward Nashton had tried to kill because he was getting sick and tired of the street races

The sound design surrounding the car in the movie gives it so much oomph, the flames, the V8 noise, the rock music going quiet with each push of gas pedal... and its reveal in the movie, just the best.
The fact that it acts like a dog at the end of its leash trying to attack made it even better

Glaring issue with this Bat Mobile is the exposed engine... way too easy to disable if targeted!

I love the scene where the Batmobile makes its debut. The light from the jet engine illuminates the silhouette of the car. The low, but intense roar of the V8 sounds like a demon as Batman revs up. That animalistic sound was a delight to behold in the theater. I felt it in my chest, and I knew at that moment that this was my new favorite Batmobile.

It’s not a jet engine, it’s a supercharged twin turbo V8 with an engine thruster

Steven king actually had a hand in writing and shooting that scene, they basically made the batmobile like a horror monster chasing the Penguin

Its almost like the Batmobile has it's own Batman voice. When the revving really kicks up, it's like its yelling "PENGUIN!!!" And yeah. I would of been running like the devil was on my tail too.
I love it. I like how Bruce drives an old Corvette too. It makes sense growing up in a gritty city since Batfleck or Batbale supercars wouldn't fit in

When he fired this bad ass thing up in the movie it BLEW my mind. It sounded like a jet fighter taking off. Perfectly done!! Great movie too.
I may have giggled with excitement when this thing fired up and hurt my girlfriends hand a bit squeezing, it was a badass scene and the noise was incredible
Everyone who keeps saying you are surprised at how good he is as Batman are probably people who only saw him in Twilight or Harry Potter. Pattinson is a great actor. He's done a ton of independent movies where you have to really act and not depend on explosions to make things exciting. Give the man a chance. He'll probably be considered one of the best Batman ever.....
The Lighthouse (2019) was amazing movie. If you havent seen it I do recommend watching it.

Just seen the movie and can confirm - this new Batmobile is freaking badass! So cool.
In my opinion this is the coolest batmobile to ever be in live action. It’s not as Tanky as the tumbler but also isn’t just some random old car. It pays Homage to original batmobile designs. A sleek looking car that’s been heavily armored and modified, but also take aspects from the designs of the newer batmobiles as well.
Also just saw the movie and I feel like the batmobile was a star by itself. The scene that she fires up and rumbles the theater and then goes on a realistic car chase was just the best. And you could see the design of the car had long travel suspension and awd, I really appreciated how it was very realistic to what it was pulling off. Loved it!
When he first fired up the car in the movie my girlfriend said I had a huge smile of my face.
It sounded and looked like an old Charger and sounded like a insane suped up drag car, I didn’t know it was a V8. I thought it was a V10 or V12 because Batman.
I just saw the movie, it was really good. The batmobile was badass too. Pattinson was surprisingly good as batman too.
I honestly like him more as Batman than Christian Bale. I think it's cause he doesn't try to do that really deep voice thing.

Initially when the photos leaked a year ago of the car, I wasn't too impressed, but over time understanding how this is a reboot and the effort to set the tone as a young Batman who is still learning, I have come around on this car as it is grounded in realism and not something that was produced for him by Lucius Fox. It looks like a angry Kitt from KnightRider.
The car probably has cutting edge technology.

Quite literally the most practical Batmobile every to appear on screen. Which makes it feel like the most grounded in that it could actually be produced under the radar by someone with enough money. But my favorite still goes to Nolan’s Tumbler

The sound design for that car was just beautiful. It felt like it was alive. Like the engine noise in the chase felt like it was roaring and its angry, its just beautiful.
It did look like a Dodge to me, it has twin spark arranged like the Hellcat has
The car itself is probably a custom built. The engine block is more than likely GM but everything around it is probably custom.

Glad I got to experience this batmobile in theaters bc I know it wouldn't feel the same anywhere else. I was smiling ear to ear the entire sequence. I'm not sure I've ever felt so exhilarated from a chase scene. I REALLY, REALLY hope we see more of THIS batmobile on screen.
This is what I'm looking forward to most in The Batman.
As I've told friends, this thing looks and sounds like what would happen if Doc Brown was trying to make a super muscle car instead of a Time Machine.
The basic shape is it A dodge Charger 68-70 or a Dodge Superbee/Roadrunner? Those car is a Big bore muscle car era. Its a mixbreed of A mad max Interceptor and Dominic’s Toretto Charger on Fast Furious.
This batmobile is the coolest ever Batmobile in my opinion. Simply no sophisticated technology. Not easy to drive (on the movie, Batman is mostly understeering to drive).
That was supposedly a muscle car or a hero’s ride because the engineered by him self.
I was thinking the same kind of models.
All function and zero fluff, the car felt real and unstoppable.
I love how this batmobile is like a classic muscle car trophy truck hybrid. That's what made it believable for me 😍😍😍😍😍

It took me some time to appreciate the look of this vehicle. This is so Mad Max meets Gotham, not necessarily a billionairs personal battle tank. It's so raw and gritty
At first I was highly skeptical of the design. I was like what the?!? It’s just a regular car! But then it started to grow on me with the trailers. I like how it looks like something that could actually be built by Bruce, rather than some James Bond tank, or fantastical machine. Then watching it perform and hearing the ripping sound in a Dolby theater just sealed the deal for me!
Saw the movie today with my husband. Best Batmobile. I cried when he started it in the movie. I almost stood up and clapped in the theater. My husband and I are muscle car/fast car lovers. This movie was awesome. I immediately went to Target and got the toy car of it.
I think looking at this as the "younger" version of Batman and his car misses the point that it's just a different version for a different kind of Batman. Anyway, much as I liked Anton Furst's weird-ass jet-car in Batman '89 and, and much as I loved roaring along with the Tumbler as it rolled over church rooftops and rammed garbage trucks, I have to disagree wit hthe guys that this Batmobile does away with sexiness. To my mind, this may be the sexiest Batmobile yet.

@@plantainsame2049 Right. I could actually maybe drive this one, though I'm not the best at stick, so this kind of precise race-car transmission would be a particular challenge.
The West-Mobile is a little classier, if class is your idea of a good time. It's got those elegant midcentury modern lines. Though I think a subtle redesign of that particular vehicle might do away with some of the extraneous details. Personally, think the bat logo on Batman stuff ought to be kept to a minimum. Less is more.
That's another reason I love this new model. It's just so minimal, so understated, that the few design elements it has get to shine. This is an aggressive car, designed for kicking ass. With its engine in the back, it's not a vehicle designed for running away. It's for ramming. That goes with this more aggressive, tank-like Batman who showed little interest in stealth and subtlety. He's not had to face overwhelmingly superior odds very often, and when he does, he's ill-prepared.

Watched it last night. This scene in particular is so well done. The penguin just stands there confused/scared of what’s going on as this monster of a car starts up in the shadows. It will give anyone chills.

And apperently the car is 8 baby feet wide, so I'm guessing between 2-2,5 feet wide.
Looks a lot like a 68' Dodge Charger with a kind of Coke bottle profile.
When I heard this thing start up in the film I had a moment of pure excitement due to how good this thing sounds and looks definetly the best batmobile yet.
Anybody notice exhaust coming out the top of the front hood under that raised section? ? Why is there exhaust in the front when the motor and exhaust are in the rear?
Apparently dual engine, but to me bad design... let's just hope it makes sence in the final work.

Is it twin engined, 1 in front & 1 in back? That looks like some kind of air intake in the front for an engine & what look like side exhaust tips coming out right behind the front wheels.
But when does one stop designing exhaust pipes?
Some people just can't stop, I guess. But it makes it all look kinda dumb, like a child's drawing.

Is it... is it like some of the youtube AWD build where the car has two transmissions, two engines?
To get a whiff of what that might look like, you might wanna check out an awesome build of MX3 twin engined and twin gearboxed at hoonigan daily transmission - that Mazda MX3 is just pure sex(y).

I think it is, the second one is probably for bigger boosts, it also weights a lot, so there's no way the weight would have a good distribution with only the back engine.
In terms of a Batmobile, I don't think anything will top Michael Keaton's mobile. But this one is the meanest looking of them all.
This car is the love child between Charger/Barracuda and internal the gearbox seems to be from Hummer (size).

Loved how he started to measure the width of the car with his feet, then the front tyre with a standard? foot measure and then the rear tyre with his arm like they were useful measures xD I was waiting for him to measure with his torso and butt cheeks by the end of it.
When the Batmobile fired up, I pictured screeching bats down a wind tunnel in a horror movie. Hell was teleported in Gotham. This scene and the Iceberg fight was the most memorable for me.
That chase scene got me grinning from ear to ear. Haven’t felt like that since I watched the Animated Series as a kid.
This was the most intimidating bat-mobile to date, even more than the Nolan tumbler and the BVS bat mobile, shit sounded ferocious
Oh boy, this thing looks amazing! I wasn't excited to see the new Batman flick until this very moment. 😂 It definitely looks like it's Dodge inspired. The only part I don't like is what I assume must be fake exhaust tips coming out of the hood, since the engine and exhaust are visible in the rear. If it was dual engine I feel like they would have mentioned that.

@@aaron4757 Except the rear had 4 runners and coil packs on either side thus it's a v8.
I read that when they were designing this car, they cut the roof off of a '69 Charger for the initial build. Whether the size of roof on the finished version has been upscaled a bit due to this car being wider than a Charger, you can clearly see the roofline and "C" pillar are identical to a 68-70 Charger

This car represents Batmans start, this is a car he build himself from scratch and it is supposed to be his first car. I agree that it needs to resemble a road legal car as close as possible.

The reason it's based on a Plymouth is because Pattinsons Batman is still relatively new to the vigilante scene in the movie. I believe it's said in the movie that he's been fighting crime for around 2 years.
After a quick Google search I've learned it's based off a 1970 Plymouth Barracuda
The Tumbler will always be my favourite.
I think this is the most realistic but not over the top design of the infamous batmobile. This is a balanced design in my opinion and more practical for the real world.

I love how everything in the film that Batman used instilled fear especially the new Batmobile design. It was a damn monster when it appeared...like everyone heard it and immediately it gave the characters a sense of awe!

Sound guys did amazing job, the moment when batman do two-step on in - thrills. The mighty V8 and some electronic sound.
The Batman 2022 batmobile and the Mad Max Interceptor are my favorite movie cars of all time.
I also loved the raw and just built feel from this car. But I swear if they just extended the it out a bit and then put on a certain kit this car would look just like the animated series batmobile.

What’s funny to me is they say that this is a bat mobile for a Batman that is just getting started. In the movie Gordon says he has been working with him 2 years. In the Nolan films by the time Batman stoped joker and took blame for killing Dent he was doing it for 2 years also but he was never considered new
Honestly it makes a lot of sense for this car to look kinda cheap, it would be hella suspicious if Batman just rolled in a futuristic tank, people could've guessed he was a millionaire easily.

Saw the movie a few days ago and it's debute scene of it starting up in the dark is meant to make the bad guys shit their pants as much as the batsignal against dark night sky, this movie was so good

I BET I AM RIGHT! See that thing on the back of the engine? That looks
like a little turbine. What is under the hood is the compressor or
combustion chamber to create the compressed air for the turbine on the
back of the engine. The power it creates goes straight to engine crank.
If you see the real car there is a wire going to the turbine and that
would be a sparker or glow plug or something to ignite the extra fuel
they put to it to create the flame coming out of it. So the car has a
turbine engine and a piston engine then. Just the turbine was split in
half. Half under the hood and the other half on the back of the engine.

You can see by the roofline that this car began as a 2nd gen Dodge Charger. I did some digging, and they said that, yes, in fact, it started as a '69 Charger. Same as The General Lee. I have what's left of a '70 that I'm fixing up which is nearly identical. Dom drove a '70 Charger in the Fast and the Furious movies. I've loved this body style of Charger since I was a little kid, even before The Dukes of Hazzard came on. So I'm a bit biased, but this is my favorite Batmobile :)

Given that the Batmobile is a muscle car that produces 650 horsepower, it might be safe to assume that the engine that helps propel the iconic vehicle is none other than an LT4 V8 from a Camaro ZL1. The engine can certainly produce a lot more than just 650 ponies if given the right amount of modifications
The engine block is more than likely GM but the actual build is probably custom meaning they probably have a selection of standard market parts and custom fabrication.

So I found this off of the internet and apparently the new bat mobile is made from three or four cars I think, The engine is a Tesla powered engine, the rear fenders are from a corvette stingray, the main body work is from a 69’ Dodge Charger and the front bumper is apparently from a Chevrolet Camero.

I don't like how the engine is exposed, I imagine that someone who fights super villains wouldn't want a car that's so easy to sabotage. Like someone could just walk up to it and drop and handful of gravel into the turbo charger intakes, and the car will be F'ed. There are exposed pullies and belts :|
While that’s very true, it does have a V8 under the hood still
I think that's due to weight distribution. The engine looks massive, so if you put more stuff at the back the car would be heavier at the back than the front. Plus, there's still another engine under the hood.
I really enjoyed the driving aspects of the film, the director was great in terms of making it look realistic.
The rear would lock up, the long travel suspension (during the jumping scene), and the other driving characteristics made the batmobile perform like a cross between a rally car and a trophy truck.
I bought my youngest son the lego version of this🤣💪🏼
They still haven't Lucios Fox yet. The Batmobile upgrade would be shown along with him I feel. What a great idea to have this since he has only started 2 years ago.
