The horns! The organ! Took us to church man. All the “whooos!” And the little “lord have mercy” at the end. Really best award show performance ever… a close second is Bruno singing “Perm” at the BET awards. Legends!

As good as Chris and JT were the band was on fire. Anytime you have a group of country stars on their feet and singing your song back to you that's special. Morgan (wife) was great also. 😁

I'm glad you went back to some Chris!! I knew you'd love this one, Karlton. Justin wrote a song for them called "Say Something". It's really fun to watch them sing this great song in ONE TAKE LIVE! You can hear that it's no voice over & watch the cameras on one continous roll is very cool. The chorus at the end - live also, to conclude the filming.
Yes this performance was just plain fun to watch and react to. Two diff flavors of voices but Both amazing.

Dub fun fact ... christ Stapleton and justin met because Justin's wife had heard him (chris sing before) so she hired Chris to do Justin's bday party ...so basically Chris was a gift given to justin lol and they became friends after that

While I prefer Chris (and his wife, Morgane - yes, this is her) alone, this is the performance that busted Chris out big time as a solo singer. No disrespect to JT, I just love Chris' full, rich, textured voice. :) But Chris had a very successful writing career and sang with two bands before he went solo. He wrote 6 #1 country songs for other country artists and has over 170 writing/co-writing credits. The man is talented!
