Crouching Surfer Hidden Burl

Crouching Surfer Hidden Burl is a quick little video I made of me going to the beach to retrieve a burl off a piece of drift wood. California has had a ton of rain and flooding which has pushed a lot of debris down on to the beaches. on a beach trip with my family I discovered a huge burl on one of the trees that had made its way down to the beach. I decided that I would return a couple days later with my chainsaw retrieve it, unfortunately the one I wanted was completely buried under the sand. I found a smaller burl that I did retrieve and then had my self a little surf session. Surf was really fun that day and I was able to get several good waves.. Hope you enjoy the video. SHALOHA

Great Day right der' -- Love it. What kind of wood was that? Looks red like a Madrone but the bark looks like a basic Willow. Hmm.

It was a good day, and the surf was on.. I think you are right about the Madrone. 🤙
