wow its like traveling back in time! the old trains, the old fashioned train station, the old telephone,no computers, looks like everything is done by paper instead. really interesting and unique. like going threw a time warp!
Great camera work to give a real 'feel' of the people and country as well as the train. Some voice over commentary with background info and facts and figures would make it perfect.
Thanks for your reply about this Camera. I just watched an instruction video someone made on your Camera, and have one more question. How do you keep the cooling-fan-noise from being picked-up by the microphone on top of this Camera they complained about? I remember that years ago during the first Southern/Norfolk Southern Steam Excursion Program here in the U.S, when we first chased or rode behind the Steam Trains,we used Audio-Cassette-Recorders and had to use a remote Microphone because of the Tape-Recorder-motor,and the Cassette reel to reel noise.
Hi 4501 trainman, most of the scenes were taken with the built-in microphone, so I consider the noise of the fan not a problem. For some scenes of a passing train I used an external microphone, connected it with the camera by cable and placed it a few meters from my camera Position: not because of the noise of the camera but to avoid the click-click of the photographers that stood in the photo line next to me.

Question: Right at the beginning in the market, the lady is handling some sort of brown brick like stuff, weighing it and wrapping it in banana leaves. What is it? Maybe some sort of paste to fix food with?
Hi, sorry but I have no idea. The Brown bricks may be processed as I never had something like this on a diner table. Perhaps somebody else can help? I am interest myself!
I thought it prawn paste... in Malaysia we call belacan... it contains the main ingredient is prawn n mix with others then dry it under the sunlight for a whole day...
It is called "Khao pook" in Shan language. It becomes a brown loaf when the mixture of brown glutinous rice and sesame is ground and cooled down. The taste is exceptionally good whether you try it toasted or fried.

@@fernbahn5678 the rails do not wear out from the sand?
@@sergeyy-ber no, unless they would put sand all the time. If the wheels slip the rails and the engine would suffer more.
