I'm a Bridal MUA and I have an amazing makeup tip for all my oily skin peeps out there! Spray a HEAVY amount of setting spray over your primer and allow it to dry before going in with your foundation and concealer. Then spray again, allow to dry fully, then go in with your powder puff/sponge and press the powder in on your super oily areas. Spray AGAIN and let dry before going in with the rest of your complexion products. Makeup lasts ALL DAY AND NIGHT and makes your skin look PERFECT 👌
Another tip I LOVE for your mascara routine is taking your eye curler & curling the tips of the lashes, then the middle, then the base (so basically it’s backwards of the traditional base to tip). This will keep your lashes curled for much longer and help create a more curling effect after applying your mascara.
Tati, I've never commented to you before although I've watched you for years. I'm a black woman that loves beauty and receive many compliments on my makeup and beauty; you've been the most influential figure for my beauty purchases, hands down. I'm sorry for the loss your beloved Luka, I hope you're healing my dear.
I spray a thick flat makeup brush with setting spray and dip in desired eyeshadow to conceal gray roots in between color. Keeps it locked in place and lays color down nicely.
A Tati tip I've done for years: put your tube of mascara against your body (tucked into bra works) at the beginning of your makeup routine. The mascara warms up just enough to glide on more smoothly. This works great with thicker formulas such as waterproof. For hair I brush my conditioner in with a detailing brush in the same way Tati described using a detailing comb.
Hylaronic acid serums on the hands at night before lotion. Helps a ton in the winter. I use any skin care I get in subscriptions boxes that I don’t like on my face or just need to use up on my body. Especially the hands because they show age more
Girl talk, quality time, good ideas and magical vibe! I'm here for ALL of it! It's been a hot minute...years, many days....unknowns...ups and downs...challenges...but we're here...and she deserves it and we get to be a part of it!!! I'm so happy!!
@Tati - does mixing oil with foundation mess with the sunscreen you have on? I’m always concerned about it diluting the sunscreen, but I’ve never been able to find information on this.
Graphic or winged eyeliner in any color you want... Use a white eyeliner, pencils will make the pigment stick better but liquid works too. Draw whatever eyeliner you want with the white then using an angled liner brush pack, then swipe any eyeshadow over the white.

Is it weird that I feel validated when Tati mentions something I already do?😊I have had a wide-toothed comb in the shower for ages! I find it really helps spread conditioner more evenly than my fingers will. Thanks Tati!!💖
Same! 😂 Although many of the good tips I use are from 50 years ago with advice from magazines or the women in my family. They would've loved primer and setting spray from today! Although they wouldn't have understood adding bronzer or contour to the face and definitely not the neck. One of their makeup missions was to cover any natural bronzing from farm life. But they were big on using their lipstick as their blush.😊 I miss those ladies and have such good memories of learning about makeup from them.
For me, a game changer was dipping my makeup brushes in a small cup of micellar water right before going in with soap. Cuts the time involved dramatically and makes cleaning foundation and concealer brushes so much faster.
Not only is keeping a comb/wet brush in the shower a game changer, but also keeping a claw clip in there! Especially if you have long hair. It’s great to clip up my hair when I let my conditioner sit, so it’s off of my body and I can wash my body without having to move my hair around to wash certain areas.
I’m glad you mentioned a wet brush as another option for the shower. I have long hair that gets easily tangled, and a wide toothed comb just doesn’t do as good a job of detangling as a wet brush does for me!
2:06 This hack is a “classic” in the skincare realm… If you apply your products to damp skin, it helps them absorb deeper and faster and therefore makes the ingredients / product work more efficiently
I press my toner into my skin not with a cotton pad just fingers then start layering serums and moisturizer. Saw the tip about using fingers to press in toner in layers on Jen Phelps channel. Keeps the skin damp to help stuff penetrate.
I have a tip🤚🏼 I use a flat concealer brush or any flat brush with a powder foundation to crisp/clean up my lip lines if I’m wearing a bold lip instead of using a liquid concealer if I’ve already powdered my face. Works like a charm. Love you Tati. I got the text🩷
Well since you asked, I will share my #1 without fail beauty hack that isn't new but I take it a step farther. We have all heard about how people will keep their beauty supplies like, serums, lotions, etc in the refrigerator and apply them cold. Well I do the same thing, however I take it a step further. I also keep all of my cream or liquid makeup cold as well. This can sometimes include a chilled damp blender from the freezer, for around my eyes. At least for me personally, I find this to be not only beneficial for depuffing, or minimizing pores, it's also super refreshing and I feel like I get a dewier finish. Applying them chilled also allows me more playtime with blending, as my skin slowly warms up each product. I believe it also prolongs the life of my favorite cosmetics. I also never use powder around my, eyes, lips or between my brows, these are areas that tend to have more texture, fine lines and wrinkles as we age, and who wants dry crusty wrinkles lol. Well, I hope someone else can find this tip helpful. XOXO 😘 Not a professional tip by any means, but at 53 years young I am just sharing my experience.
Thank you Tati. I love tips and tricks. I especially liked the lotion or oil after showering tip. Also loved James' tip too. My little tip is that I spray a little setting spray into a plastic cap that I no longer need (usually it's from an empty setting spray). I then dip my eyeshadow brush into it before applying a frosted eye shadow onto my lid. It uses less than spraying the brush. Keep'm coming!
@@jcd1763 I've used at least 10 different ones over the years, and they have all worked fine. Currently using Earth Harbor Aurora. Any facial oil works, but just one drop, maybe 2 if it's really matte.
Glam Girl Gabi showed up in my recommended, and she suggested using moisturizer as a makeup eraser to clean up eyeshadow fall out. I have really dry skin, especially under my eyes. I gave it a go, and it worked a treat! 😃
The oil trick with the foundation does really really work! I like using it with a really super matte and blurring foundation and you get the best of both worlds, blurring, matte, and still super hydrating and youthful skin
Love this, I was about to toss my whipped matte foundation as no one really wears it any longer... Glass skin is it. So this will save it and yes best of both worlds!!
Wonderful tips Tati! Thank you. I have a tip: Before putting on my eye cream in the morning,I use a small pump on each eye of Cetaphil Healthy Renew Eye Gel Serum. It is glycerin based and really makes the eye area smooth and hydrated. Love that product.
The game changing tip for me as my skin has changed and got drier, I use cerave ointment as my primer. I put it on, massage it in, and it makes my foundation sit on my dry skin so well. Just don’t use too much and wait a little bit for applying foundation. I also use a facial oil for foundations that don’t do well with the cerave ointment.
I'm here to confirm setting your face with setting spray and then using medium heat from your hair dryer just does something 🤩😊 thanks Tati you made my high school makeup game not so embarrassing! Now about to graduate college and you've always been a comforting place for me ❤
Tati, you were collecting tip tuesdays from a young age :) I love using a white eyeliner and (faintly) draw a white winged line right below the wing of my actual dark wing. It makes a cool "pop" of a difference in the corner of your eyes

Love when you give these hacks videos - your makeup is always flawless and looking better than ever! I'll try anything that you say! I'd love to see an updated haircare routine - what you are using and what is your current styling routine - its still so healthy looking even with some of the lightning you have done!
My favorite beauty tip is applying skincare, then a pore-filling primer, then a tacky primer, THEN a layer of setting spray. I let it dry, then I go in and spot conceal with my Nars pot concealer. Once that sets, I apply foundation. Flawless base every time. No pilling and not cakey.
Omg! I just tried your hack of blending concealer under the eye with setting spray on a beauty blender. Amazing results ! No more powder under the eye for me. I really needed that hack. I’m 62 and I’ve been having a devil of a time with my concealer looking bad and creasing even with powder and high end concealer’s. I have even been stepping up my eye moisturizing game and trying different powders to set with but still no improvement. Thank you so much for that Tati. Much appreciated 😊
Risamakeupworld does a lot of good tips for mature and dry skin. One thing that I tried is the wet and wild primer serum just under the eye. It's super affordable and gives an amazing amount of hydration to help with creasing.
2:06 I do that, too, and it makes a huge difference! A hack for when you did not shower but want the same (or even better) effect: Get an inexpensive/ reasonable priced HYDRATING and liquid-y toner and apply it before applying your body lotion. Make sure to put on the lotion directly after applying the toner, i.e. toner to left arm, lotion to left arm, toner to right arm, lotion to right arm, etc.
I literally thought I was alone in brushing through my hair before I wash it in the shower🚿--makes life so much easier!! Tati is coming out with some beauty-related BANGERS in this video!!! 💜💜
Brushing the hair before you shower not only helps with tangles, but it also helps with drain clogs! I brush mine to get all the loose hair out before getting in the shower so it doesn’t clog my drain!
Is it just me, or i feel like this year is all about hacks, tips, and tricks. Heyy I'm not complaining one bit. Keep them coming, guys, and thank you for sharing❤
I don’t know if this tip has already been mentioned or maybe everyone is already doing it but exfoliating your legs before you shave is a game changer and makes them extra smooth and allows you to go maybe an extra day between shaves. ❤ love all the other tips too. Thank you all.
Before I rinse out my shampoo, I like to use a soft silicone massager gently on my scalp. It is such a gentle way to get that deep clean feeling without using masses of product and (for me) extends the time between washes 🎉
I personally like to use a setting spray before I powder my face. I have oily skin and I noticed when I use a setting spray and then go in with a setting powder my make up will last alot longer.
When I cannot be bothered to do anything to my hair after a good deep washing, I ❤ to take my fave dryer sheets and wrap one around my wide-bristle round barrel brush, and brush out my fresh DRY hair. Helps with STATIC and just makes my hair smell pretty.🥰💖
I have tried doing that as I am a smoker and if I need to go somewhere where the person doesn’t smoke. It made my hair feel really greasy 😢 now I just use a body mist
Wet Brush now makes a brush specifically for the shower. It’s extremely flexible and gentle. It even has a hook on it so you can hang it up in your shower. I have nearly waist length straight hair and that brush goes through my hair very easily. It also makes my hair easier to brush out after I’ve put my leave in products. Btw, Brad Mondos hair care line had a really awesome thick oil for shine. I love using it while my hair is still wet and it doesn’t make my hair look oily, but gives it a beautiful shine.
My favorite beauty hack that I’ve always done is curling my hair before bed! I will curl it and then put it in rollers. When I take out my rollers I will go very heavy with the hairspray and NOT brush it out! When I wake up in the morning I will lightly brush my hair and it looks effortless and perfect!
Also a Texas girl- And in the plumbing field- not to scare you, but TX hard water will ruin your hair, hair color & skin. Your body is a giant sponge. Whole house water filtration is the way to go!
I have well water and my hairdresser does a treatment to remove the minerals from my hair. I was a redhead but now am graying and my hair was looking yellow. Using purple shampoo didn’t help. She also told me to turn down the temp on my hot tools that high heat can yellow light colored hair. Who knew? Lol
A hair tip I do after washing, combing out, applying eve-nye treatment, I wrap my hair in a t-shirt. Usually sleep in it so the next morning my hair is soft and easy to brush out again.
Great tips! 🥰 I use a tiny bit of moisturizing pore filling primer under my eyes in the fine lines (huge difference!) and on my nose, especially where foundation would wear off or crease during the day for added longevity.
Tati...you are SO RIGHT about the drop of facial oil in foundation, I've been doing this for about 5 years, works especially beautifully on mature skin (that's me!). P.S. I still have your puff!!!
Hey Tati! ❤ I always do my hair before the rest of my shower routine so the conditioner can sit on there for awhile. When done with everything else I rinse in cool water and always use a quality drying hair wrap with no rubbing. I had hair thinning issues and this helps a ton. Huge fan of the silk/satin pillowcase too. Sending love and light 😊❤
A quick tip for fly away hairs... Use a soft toothbrush sprayed with it tiny spritz of hairspray or shine spray. Now you can keep this one brush just for your fly aways... I wash mine every couple of weeks with a little dish soap and then lay it on a towel to dry. This tip was shown to me over 25 years ago when I was in Cosmetology School. Try it it works ...also this works on your eye brows if you find yourself out of brow gel. Make sure the toothbrush is New and has soft bristles like a baby's toothbrush.
Hi Tati! Hey, I really can't wait to try the tip of sprizzing a sponge with setting spray & also putting a drop of facial oil with my foundation. Does it matter what facial oil? For example, I have Feel Squalene Facial Oil. Would that work OK? Have a blessed & beautiful Monday 😊
I alternate between dry brushing before a shower and using a body scrub on dry skin before getting in the shower. Lotion right after the shower, like you said. Super smooth skin!
The setting spray tip is an absolute game changer!! I learned that one from you a while ago and now I do it almost every day! I apply foundation and concealer first, mist with setting spray, and then hit it with a quick shot of low heat from the hair dryer. THEN, I go in with all of my powder products and a light mist of setting spray at the end. This technique really extends the wear time of my makeup and helps it to not get blotchy throughout the day. (I have combo skin with a T-zone that doesn’t like to hold on to makeup, btw.) BEST TATI TIP EVER!
Got bacne? Shoulder pimples? Are you rinsing your conditioner off last? Yeah don't. Rinse your conditioner, then wash your shoulders and back. Some conditioners clog pores and cause body acne.
I’ve done the shower recommendations (conditioner for shaving and wide tooth comb). Totally notice a difference especially after these years. Thanks Tati🎉
One of my biggest beauty hacks is a little strange. I'll use a square of toilet paper to absorb excess oil and shine on the face. It works like a charm.
Mine is that instead of spraying my hair directly with my heat protectant and getting it all over the floor and walls and stuff, i spray it in the palm of my hands and work it through. I feel like I get better overall coverage that way and don’t get it everywhere!
Would love the recommendation of the thermal rollers. I don't have "great" hair (very fine) and I feel when I use them my hair is ALL over the place. I have lots of breakage so they never look like everyone else's all smooth and pretty and then they hurt to pull them out. I always end up returning the rollers....
Tati, IMHO, your look today is your best ever. Your less is more look is so vibrant and youthful naturally, without dramatic, excess makeup. I'm inspired.
I have been using several of these tips and I learned most of them watching you on Tip Tuesday! I will always use MAC Fix Plus spray I haven't even tried to break up with it. The undereye trick I added Pat McGrath Labs under setting powder on a beauty blender puff then the beauty blender sponge with Fix Plus...perfection💋
Loving your tips for everything! Especially glad you said about the water in TX. Actually moving there in 3 months and really don’t want to harm my skin. Thank you Tati!!!
YAY!! Tips! I remember back in the day carrying a lighter & runnin my eyeliner pencil thru the flame to soften it, that's how old I am lol! Love ya Tati 😊❤️❤️❤️✌️

Is it just me, or i feel like this year is all about hacks, tips, and tricks. Heyy I'm not complaining one bit. Keep them coming, guys, and thank you for sharing❤
Happy Monday, Tati! I got my giveaway gift today! I’m so excited, thank you so much!! 💘
I started using a couple drops of oil in my foundation when you mentioned it last year. Game changer! Love the finish!
What type of oil are you adding to your foundation?
@@EchoRider515 I use the Good Molecules Rosehip oil.
I don’t know if this tip has already been mentioned or maybe everyone is already doing it but exfoliating your legs before you shave is a game changer and makes them extra smooth and allows you to go maybe an extra day between shaves. ❤ love all the other tips too. Thank you all.
I don't do this- THANKS! Sounds great! ❤
Truly at us has a great product line for this!
Keep going! Could watch beauty tips forever- please do more ❤
Before I rinse out my shampoo, I like to use a soft silicone massager gently on my scalp. It is such a gentle way to get that deep clean feeling without using masses of product and (for me) extends the time between washes 🎉
Yes! I recently started using a scalp massager when I shampoo. It feels great & really gets all the gunk from hair products off my scalp❣
Anyone else absolutely LOVE when you get a text from Tati? Made my day today!!!

Yes the blow dryer trick is super awesome!! I always use the cold air setting with my blow dryer. I’ve done it for years.
I happen to be off to work today which allows me to watch Tati right away. This brings me great joy today.
Someone asked me yesterday about your “TATI PUFF”. That little ❤one, I still have it and love it so much!!!!!
I love getting a text to tell me exactly when you upload!!❤🎉
😎✨🎉
I didn't get a text 😕
How do i sign up for the text every time tati uploads?
My favorite beauty hack that I’ve always done is curling my hair before bed! I will curl it and then put it in rollers. When I take out my rollers I will go very heavy with the hairspray and NOT brush it out! When I wake up in the morning I will lightly brush my hair and it looks effortless and perfect!
No with hairspray. Just putting glue on hair. Whatever works for you. Depending on the weather..what season it is. Are u in Florida or Michigan.
I have a Maybelline Great Lash clear mascara that I use to handle flyaways and baby hairs. Doesn't make my hair crunchy and does the trick. :)
Also a Texas girl- And in the plumbing field- not to scare you, but TX hard water will ruin your hair, hair color & skin. Your body is a giant sponge. Whole house water filtration is the way to go!
Tati can afford it. And yours too!
I have well water and my hairdresser does a treatment to remove the minerals from my hair. I was a redhead but now am graying and my hair was looking yellow. Using purple shampoo didn’t help. She also told me to turn down the temp on my hot tools that high heat can yellow light colored hair. Who knew? Lol
Girl you HAVE water filtration for free, try living in México and then talk me about harsh water.
Tati, your nails!!! I love that color 😍😍
A hair tip I do after washing, combing out, applying eve-nye treatment, I wrap my hair in a t-shirt. Usually sleep in it so the next morning my hair is soft and easy to brush out again.
I have tried your conditioner shaving tip and it is AMAZING!! My legs are so soft and silky afterwards! Thank you Tati!❤
Hack I use: Tissues w/ lotion in them for blotting oil. It makes my skin look super nice without drying!
Great tips! 🥰 I use a tiny bit of moisturizing pore filling primer under my eyes in the fine lines (huge difference!) and on my nose, especially where foundation would wear off or crease during the day for added longevity.
the texas spring/summer tan peeking through!
Me too
Just throwing this out there Tati….I REALLY MISS Tip Tuesday videos!! Love you so much
A quick tip for fly away hairs...
I love the new notifications through Tati’s list. I never miss a video now lol
I love being on TatiList!!! Hope your feeling ok and take it day by day ❤️☺️
Tati I got q’s what is the difference between loose and pressed, because I really thought they did the same.
For flyaways or static on my long hair, I take a dryer sheet and wipe my hair with it and it makes all those hairs sit right the hell down!
Dryer sheets are so toxic.I would recommend against doing so.
Happy Monday! Love being part of the Tati list family. I'm so excited to see whenever you post. You are amazing.
In a pinch I grab a eyeshadow brush some hairspray and then add eyeshadow that matches my roots
I alternate between dry brushing before a shower and using a body scrub on dry skin before getting in the shower. Lotion right after the shower, like you said. Super smooth skin!
Nivea makes an incredible in-shower body lotion! 10/10
Yes, I forgot all about that stuff. I need to get a bottle. I love the smell too.
@@EgoBrain1 i get the extremely dry skin one because I want more moisture.
Yes! The OG Nivea jar is amazing stuff!
@@emilyparker2037 oooo I gotta try that
The setting spray tip is an absolute game changer!!
Thanks Tati always great tips! I have a tip i spray hairspray on a clean mascara wand and use it to smooth out fly away hairs
Love these!
Coconut oil for a moisturizer & makeup remover. Brown dry shampoos to cover greys between hair color sessions.
Which brand of brown dry shampoo do you use?
@@jwies-5 Batiste or Colab are both great!
I do the same!
Does anyone know what nail polish that is? It's so beautiful!
Yes!!! I'm so happy for this video ❤
🙌🙌 Loving the Tati List! ❤️Love seeing Pukashell in the background 🐾
Loving your tips for everything! Especially glad you said about the water in TX. Actually moving there in 3 months and really don’t want to harm my skin. Thank you Tati!!!
So pretty. Love when the organization bug bites.❤️
YAY!! Tips! I remember back in the day carrying a lighter & runnin my eyeliner pencil thru the flame to soften it, that's how old I am lol! Love ya Tati 😊❤️❤️❤️✌️
I was thinking of that too!😂
Your hair is so gorgeous!!
I wanted to buy the thermal velcro rollers Tati was talking about but do not see a link. Does anyone have a recommendation?
