I actually did a day trip from Langkawi to Koh Lipe back in Jan 2017 and stayed for 6 hours before heading back to Langkawi around 5pm-ish. But I went to Koh Lipe again in Feb 2018 staying 3 nights there after staying 5 nights in Ao Nang/Krabi, 3 nights in Koh Phi Phi Don and 1 night in Koh Lanta
@@leechafertravels All of them except Koh Lanta (which I also liked too). Koh Lipe, Ao Nang/Krabi/Railey and Koh Phi Phi are my favourite Thai islands as well as Koh Samui and Koh Tao but I didn't like Phuket much. Personally I think Langkawi was much better than Phuket IMO

Hi,i will go to malasia tour in february,do you recommend me to go to kho lipe from langkawi? perenthians ,they say that is no a good epoque to go in february, thanks
@@elvandammedegandia Yes I highly recommend you to go to Koh Lipe from Langkawi. It is an amazing island and an easy way to enter Thailand from Malaysia. The weather should be good in February too.👍🏻 Thanks for watching the video🙏🏻😊
Hi, We also have the same plan, we have return flight from Langkawi to Bangalore but going to koh lipe in between, in this case we will have to re enter malaysia again, is this allowed or do we need multiple entry visa ?
I can't see how to book these tickets online and all I can see online is that the ferries from penang to Langkawi and Langkawi to Koh Lipe are suspended since covid? Does this mean we may actually be able to make it form Penang to Koh Lipe now! So glad I saw this video because I was going to book transport all the way via Hat Yai which would have been like 15 hours! THANK YOU! life saver!
Thanks for watching and I'm glad you found the video useful. 🙏🏻😊😊😊 The ferries are definitely not suspended. I flew from Penang to Langkawi so I don't know about that ferry, but I did speak to people that had done it. Langkawi to Koh Lipe can be booked at various travel agents in Langkawi. Your accommodation may even be able to arrange it, as mine did. Have a great time. 👍🏻😊
I honestly couldn't say for sure as I've not done it myself and I haven't even been in South East Asia during that time of year. I think if it's not stormy on the day then you should be fine. It's not always stormy at that time of year, but there can be a lot of rain.
In the departure hall in Malaysia. Basically you just don't have it while on the boat. What if you keep your passport and YOU lose it? 🤷🏻♂️ Anybody losing a passport is not ideal, but also very unlikely.

do you think is a bad idea and dangerous to do this trip during summer (end of July) due to the storms?

No, 45 days.
The 5 days that i referred to was the 'pass' that is required to be on the island, due to it being a national park.
