You can absolutely play SNES on an old 3DS, all you need is Snes9x3DS, most games play at full speed, the only ones that don't are ones which use the SuperFX or SA1 chips in the cartridge, which for the most part are no big loss... The wii U is probably the best bang for your buck, to be honest. However, I don't think it handles the 3ds library very well, if at all. If you have a switch the combination of a modded N3DS, a modded Wii U, and a switch will give you access to the entire nintendo library. As for the N2DSXL or the N3DSXL, the difference is minimal. 4:59 amen brother. I invested in the Nintendo Switch with the expectation that it would support my beloved retro games. Unfortunately, they never materialized. Now, they've rolled out a few, but with an annual subscription attached? To make matters worse, the quality of emulation (if that's what we're calling it) on the Switch is subpar. Titles like Ocarina of Time are virtually unplayable, and even Mario 64 tested my patience to the limit. I'm holding onto the hope that using the N64 controller for Switch will improve the experience. I'd been wanting to buy the new 3ds for a few years now. I'd been eyeing but not wanting to spend the money. finally this year I decided I wanted to play some more games. Then videos started popping up in my feed about the end of the eshop and modding and I figured now or never. the 3DS is the only way I'll ever be able to re-enjoy the DS and 3DS games (because emulating the dual screens just doesn't seem appealing, and it plays all of the older games I love to emulate first thing I did was download all of Zelda games. Ocarina of Time down, now Oracle of Ages.

Not to be pedantic, but the hshop or freeshop have been around since Nintendo was still releasing games on the platform. Now RUclipsrs can advertise these apps because it’s “no longer piracy” since the eshop is closed. I personally disagree and think it’s just an excuse to retroactively deflect any sense of wrongdoing. However, my main point is that it isn’t just “now” that people can pirate games.

Cool video. It is off topic, but is there any update about the 11.17.50-E version
Yes, methods are out already to by pass it. I will not be making a video on it, but it is definitely out there!
I found it, and I swear to God if it bricks my console i will sell my livers
@@ocreyy what's the method?
I want to get one but they’re so expensive. I saw one for $485 on Amazon
Import one from Japan, I just ordered a new 3ds cib for $150 from ninnin game and ended up ordering a second one.
@@phantomzonegaming4161 yeah I ended up getting one from Japan in near mint condition. Payed $175 and it shipped pretty fast.
I have a switch Oled and a 3ds xl and I haven’t used my switch in 2-3 months. I use and bring my 3ds mostly every where
Love to hear it!
Nintendo will keep updating and the modders will keep jailbreaking every firmware Nintendo comes out with. So Nintendo can keep wasting their time
Facts.
Nintendo just cares about money not caring about their customers at all. 3ds is the best Nintendo console imo
Agreed
Fr
Are you talking about the 3DS eShop closing?
I miss my old wii disc player. But on the bright side recently my dad gave me my little sis old 3DS and I’m enjoying every bit of it
I love my new 3ds XL more than my switch OLED. I'm planning to sell my Switch after i finished Tears of the kingdom, but I'll keep my 3ds forever.
Don’t do it. Unless you need the money hang on to the Switch. Someday you might regret it. Just look at the people in the comments who regret getting rid of their 3DS. Could easily happen with the Switch someday. 🤷♂️
Looking at 3DS because I want to play OoT again, and I want to finish MM (never did as a kid; just borrowed it for a short while from a friend) and Nintendo are taking their sweet ass time just porting all of the games to Switch. Make a Zelda colletion like the Mario one except... Not bad. Do that and I'll pay for it. Oh and force Cave to port their 360 collection too while at it.
Not in the market rn, I have an RG351P that I REALLY enjoy and I'm busy buying Switch games, but since that handheld doesn't emulate DS all that well...
i can’t wait to finally get my hands on a 3ds im sad i missed out on it though when it was still available in stores ☹️☹️
Better late than never! You have a lot to look forward to
i have a red 3ds modded if you wanna trade do you have a playstation 4 or xbox?
@@DFSJoAI yeah i have a old white xbox 1 x that i haven’t played on in some years but the controller is broken
hey buddy, u missed nothing!!! You can still mod your 3ds and play all games for free and even online!!!
Wish you the best experience ❤❤
@@callmeyuki9488can u still do that?
They have to make a 4ds or something
4DS? LOL
I doubt it they love feeding shit into the switch
You can absolutely play SNES on an old 3DS, all you need is Snes9x3DS, most games play at full speed, the only ones that don't are ones which use the SuperFX or SA1 chips in the cartridge, which for the most part are no big loss...
On top of that, you can also play TurboGrafx + Turbo CD, Mega Drive + Mega CD, and a whole bunch more stuff, not to mention emulate NES, GB and GBC games that weren't on the Virtual Console
I'm trying to figure out what's my next system I miss my nds lite but I own a switch lite and oled with a NSO family expansion family which has gba games available I've never owned a Wii-u or a 3ds system so my question which one would you choose 3dsxl,2dsxl or Wii-u to collect for and mod eventually? I have to choose 1 by october the nds lite I used own had a nds cartridge with a sd card slot to play roms idk if 3ds systems work like that or not but I bought nds games that were must buys chrono trigger ds,pokemon conquest, space invades remix and reloaded and pokemon black which was 15$ new at kmart bc they were going bankrupt this was 7 years or more ago my nds lite gba slot stopped reading games so I gave it to a good female friend before I moved away that nds lite was a birthday gift from my brother in law it was black/red.
Pick whichever you like the best. I think the 3D function is pretty cool, but it is a novelty. For reference, I am pretty sure the 2DS is a little bit cheaper on average.
@@dannyfenton9335 I'm worried about the 3d effect making me dizzy or too bright on a 3ds and my bestfriend/roomate owns a wii with a controller and I've never owned a Wii-u or 3ds system psp slim 2000 and nds lite yes years ago
@@dannyfenton9335 the psp slim made me feel dizzy during a car ride.
@@METALFAN2486 Yeah, definitely shoot for the 2DS, or still get the 3ds and never use the 3d slider. Both are valid.
Never had a 3ds before but now it's scratches so many inches.
Definitely worth it to get one today.
People showing h shop etc. was a good solution against people who pushed-> you should buy games short before closure
i just can dream nintendo bring back street pass to switch, or smartphone as companion apps
wow! I just walked into this, have no idea where to start? So I guess, what should I do first? Which 3DS do I get? Super new newbie lol
new 3ds XL
For value I would get the 2ds. For the best experience I would get a new 3ds xl.
my biggest problem with the 3ds is my hands are to big and would start to cramp after 40 minutes then i got a grip, hands never cramped again would recommend
Grips are key, have one on most of my handhelds.
@@GamersChoiceRUclipsThe quality ones for the N3DSXL can be upwards of $80+. Don’t think many will spend that much. The cheap $10 are just crap. The clip that holds the system on will break if you look at it funny.
I just took my modded 3ds on a flight. Been playing Minish Cap.
Nice!!
i have an original 3ds, unfortunately emulating gameboy advance games makes the games really laggy, only way to go around that is to get gba cartridge thing that lets you put in an sd card so you can run them natively, i still have all of the 3ds and regular ds games tho so i cant complain hahaha not to mention i never had a 3ds, i stopped at the ds lite so ALL of these games for the 3ds are brand new to me so thats a HUGE plus
Hello, please, could you help me?
I don't understand how Streetpass work.
Do I have to have the Streetpass software opened, or like going to the home menu but not closing it? Or can I close it?
Also, do I have to be connected to a WIFI network or WIFI hot-spot?
Or do I only have to have the WIFI switched on, but I don't have to have it actually connect to a WIFI?
Or do I have to switch off the WIFI?
Please, answer!
I just bought one for 109 on eBay with 3 games in perfect condition 😊
Trying to bring back streetpass groups and events 🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have a galaxy 3ds xl, a 2ds xl, original 3ds in blue and a original 3ds in pink from 2013
Great Video 😎
😏🤝
is it safe to mod a 3ds xl? or can they patch it up? sorry for the dumb question lol it would be mi first modded handheld
The patches do nothing after being modded and there’s always a fix if they do.
Listen man ive been seeing your content lots of places, usually shorts… i have a modded new 3dsXL and a modded switch and you are missing out its as easy as getting a year one switch and a 3d printed slider
I appreciate you watching! But I'm still scared to mod a switch lol
@@GamersChoiceRUclipsDo it.
Honestly I don't want my system modded I just wanna play some 3ds and buy a few here and there, I had someone offer to do it for me but I just don't see the point in doing it.
Free games and mods.
Is it safe to mod my main 3ds I have a cupple things downloaded that I obviously can’t redownload anymore so I’m afraid of loosing that stuff so I want to download the Hsop so I can play the library of 3ds games and experiance some ones I never got to
I have a problem, not about piracy, but the thing is there could be an end to Modding 3DS Set of Family Handheld Systems in 2024. Cause Homebrewing Nintendo 3DS Family Systems, require internet connection. But the thing is, Internet connections will end in April next year.
Is it ok if I can send my 3ds to you because I need help getting games on twilight++ . Plus I don’t have a computer so can you help me please
I JUST FOUND MY OLD 3DS XL IN MY GARAGE. I ONLY PLAYED USED IT FOR POKÉMON ORAS!
Sweettttt!
Yet I still can’t get any StreetPasses these days 😢
I’m glad I held onto my O3DS XL for quite years now. I recently modded it and it’s been just as enjoyable as the switch. It’s gotten me into playing some stuff I did play when I was younger too.
I loved playing on Nintendo 3DS but lost the controller. I have a Nintendo Switch now and I am wondering what games you can play on it that are similar to the games you could play on the 3DS? There were some games that I really liked but I have forgotten what they are called. Can someone recommend some games that I can play on my switch that are similar to the 3DS. Pokemon and Super Mario
"Mario Kart 7" for the 3DS is "Mario Kart 8" for Switch
"Super Mario 3d Land" for the 3DS is "Super Mario 3d World" for Switch
"New Super Mario Bros 2" for the 3DS is "new super mario bros U deluxe " for Switch
"Super Smash Bros 3DS" for the 3DS is "Super Smash Bros Ultimate" for Switch
"Super Mario Maker 3DS" for the 3DS is "Super Mario Maker 2" for Switch
Then videos started popping up in my feed about the end of the eshop and modding and I figured now or never. the 3DS is the only way I'll ever be able to re-enjoy the DS and 3DS games (because emulating the dual screens just doesn't seem appealing, and it plays all of the older games I love to emulate
first thing I did was download all of Zelda games. Ocarina of Time down, now Oracle of Ages.
I have two 3DSs I enjoy very much!!! 💗
Having trouble pronouncing Anemone brought me right back to Finding Nemo lmao
I know why: the texts are a LOT easier to read! I’m an RPG gamer, so this thing is extremely crucial. The texts on the Switch are RIDICULOUSLY small it doesn’t make sense, it actually hurts my eyes, and making me angry.
The new 3DS xl SNES edition is my daily driver for gaming!
anemone: uh-NEH-muh-nee
Amazing how popular something is when all the games on it are easily free now
Not to be pedantic, but the hshop or freeshop have been around since Nintendo was still releasing games on the platform. Now RUclipsrs can advertise these apps because it’s “no longer piracy” since the eshop is closed. I personally disagree and think it’s just an excuse to retroactively deflect any sense of wrongdoing. However, my main point is that it isn’t just “now” that people can pirate games.
@@sias.2569 no, but it's just now that 3DS prices are shooting up and making piracy the way cheaper route
@@princessnodak Ehhhhh… I would agree. However, I have a link to a video from Nintendo life from June of last year discussing the rising prices of 3DS games:
m.ruclips.net/video/cozQ5pXQG_s/видео.html
I mean a year isn’t that long, but it’s not “now” I guess.
My dad got the 3ds xl at 2017
Just modded mine today and guess what it was on 11.6
I called 10 GameStops looking for a changer and no luck smh.
Bro i wish i was alive in 2011, it sucks being a fetus when a super popular and revolutionary console is being bought and sold just outside your reach
4:50 how can you talk if you “don’t even have a switch”? I think the online is a a great deals. I pay less than Xbox online and PlayStation online in a whole year. At the same time my friends and I also get access to 5+ retro game libraries and assorted dlc.
Because the games are 25 years old, and have been accessible on pc for 10 years.
Also, I just don't like the business practice of recycling your games over and over to continue monetizing them.
I have just purchased a 3ds as I see this video 💀
I got me a Really nice LL New 3DS about 3 or 4 months ago and I absolutely love it!!
So Many Great Games!
So many games to enjoy
How much was it
@@abdularif1086 way too much!!! But it had so many games on it that I wanted.. it came with the SNES Emulator & hundreds of games for it plus the Sega genesis pico drive emulator with hundreds of games on that place right at 100 3DS games with H shop already on it as well as about 50 or 60 of the best game boy advance games, game boy color games and about 50 or 60 DS games..
Plus the fact that it was near mint condition… still doesn’t really justify how much I paid but I didn’t mind $442😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬😬
Oh yeah and it came with an official charger and an official 3DS carrying case!!
I play my 2dsxl everyday! Top 5 favorite system ever maybe 4
Love to hear it!
It’s pretty ridiculous you can spend hundreds on content purchased through proper means and have a company just end a service and take it all back essentially.
I moded my 3ds in the molding peak it works great
They tried to lock it, because new3dsxl is still a rival to switch, i m enjoying gaming on it more then my switch lite, that 3d effect makes 3ds screen look huge vs switch lite screen and the games maybe simple but they are more enjoyable.
I bought a white moded 3ds xl and I love it!!!!
Nice!!
They just announced they’ll be shutting down the online servers early 2024
A friend gave me his n2dsxl because he didnt play with it. It was stored 1 jear in my bookshelf and now i have homebrewchannel and a ton of games on the 128gb sd. 😅
Commenting for the RUclips algorithm
I got my Nintendo 3ds in 2015
Man i wish I still had my 3ds once I found it snapped in half on my dresser and never knew who did. It😢 I still don’t have one
Bro said "ah-mo-nay" 💀💀💀
It's literally better than the switch. Like seriously, how isn't the 3ds/2ds better? So many games, easy to mod, more portable etc.
Does the 3DS have Super Mario Oddysey? BotW? RotK?
I like both. I love the games on both the switch and 3ds.
Yes I still enjoy my 3d DS and my regular DS
I got the Old 3DS XL
pick up a 2ds for 50€ in february i wanted it since 2013
mines been modded for months and it was harder back then
I still have all and I got 300 games for it
I hope I could get a 3DS but... f-cking taxes suck here.

Lol I'm about to buy 3DS XL and 2DS XL. No wonder there are a lot of people are selling their used Nintendo 3DS, 2DS and Wii as well on the marketplace.
