2:15 that is NOT an LL model. Japan uses LL to mean larger than large while other places use XL for extra large. XL and LL are the same model. What you have here is the "Nintendo New 3DS" which was also released in North America. I have the same one :)
The Japanese New 3ds LL is the same as the North American New 3ds XL. If you got the standard size one, then it's not LL, it's just the standard size New 3ds. 3ds is such a good system. I believe it could of went a bit longer even if the Switch was on the market. A much more portable console then the Switch. Built better as well. It was just perfect for the pocket.

I downloaded the 3hs shop and it blew my mind, the dlc alone make it amazing 👏 not to mention being able to access eshop games that were once exclusive to different regions So easy to mod yourself too takes like half hour
I hacked my NN3DSXL like a month before the spite update. A portable console you can actually fit in a pocket, amazing library, fanlations, ability to emulate almost every console up to PS1, homebrew games/ports/apps, custom themes, etc. Still prefer it over my Switch.
I don't use my Switch handheld. It feels too big, and too flimsy. It's gonna break if I just look at it funny. But my 3DS lives in my purse. I take that thing everywhere.
The new Nintendo 3ds is the smaller one with the removable plates the same as the one he has in the video. The new 3ds Xl or LL in Japan is the larger variant.

7:51 Regarding the battery: the non-XL New 3DS uses a battery model (KTR-003) that, as far as I have seen, Nintendo has never made available for purchase as a separate part. Whomever owned it before you probably mentioned it having a slightly smaller battery than the standard one because the original one was replaced and they likely rigged a 2DS battery to work in this unit instead. As far as I recall the placement of the electrical contacts are identical and it's just a matter of the 2DS battery being slightly smaller physically (and thus a bit less battery capacity), so it could be rigged to work by fashioning some kind of spacer to fill in the excess space. That's it in a nutshell. I'm with you on the 3D, I like it too for the most part. And in some cases it makes some games more playable and better-looking because of the depth perception (Zen Pinball always comes to mind as significantly more enjoyable). It's real hit or miss as to whether people like it or not though. Doesn't seem like there is all that much of a middle ground.
The "new" 3ds xl with the eye tracking helped so much with eye strain and blind spots the 3ds was before it's time I low-key wish they'd make a switch with a 3d screen

Touching on the 3D view point, you will likely never be able to experience that with emulation (no Steam Deck, etc, will have the 3D LCD set up) .
