The PlayStation Vita (PS Vita, or Vita) is a handheld game console developed and marketed by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It was first released in Japan on December 17, 2011, and in North America, Europe, and other international territories beginning on February 22, 2012. My friend and I used to play Black Ops Declassified and Killzone on the Vita all the time. This console was so much fun in its prime especially if your friends had it. Side note I think Killzone is better. It had a half decent campaign compared to COD's, it looked better, and it felt smoother. I still love both of the games equally though, fire games at the time. This console bring me back.
Killzone looked GREAT for a 10 year old handheld FPS, it is actually crazy.
Killzone is still fun to play

was widely reported the killzone servers were going to be shut down. Originally Sony shut them down without notice but after backlash from fans they put them back on line for like a quarter of the year and let everyone know when they would go down officially.

I got into the Vita late so I was sad to see that I missed out on playing Freedom Wars online.
The private servers for Monster Hunter Freedom is very active. You need a hacked Vita though.

I have both PSvita 1000 and psvita 2000 and they are worth it and they are not modded or hacked I like to keep it they way because they are worth more especially if they’re in great condition and about 16 games with them as well

You'd be surprised how many games actually still have active servers, like all those SNK fighter games still connect, problem is nobody is playing on them. I think they still exist because they were multiplatform servers between the vita ps3 and ps4. Some games even had cross play. Besides Cod Declassified, the most active game online for Vita is going to be Helldivers, because people still play that game and its cross play between ps3,4 and vita and because of backwards compatability ps5.

There's NO WAY in hell the PSBita was THAT small, you could literally play MKX on that thing, i remembered it beign the size of a NINTENDO SWITCH but smaller

Mine always fails to connect when I try to play online. I still get trophies and all that, but I can’t get the online multiplayer to work
Nice. Been waiting for the Vita online in 2023 by Mystic but he either is busy, or maybe the games aren't active to cover/make a video on but he hasn't said anything.
Minecraft and COD (Deathmatch the other modes no one plays) sure but otherwise I don't know.
Some servers yes are killed off. I think Resistance people have I think as I see people on the Vita sub Reddit talk about it there for multiplayer
But Killzone/LBP Vita servers were cut by Sony. Freedom Wars servers too ars killed off.
Can't say for many but yeah I think a few don't get any. But I haven't tried. Whether Borderlands 2 I haven't searched but doubt it.
Modnation Racers World Tour I think is killed off.
PSP games likely don't have any unless fan servers.
PS All-stars or Wipeouts 2048 I wasn't paying for the online if no one uses it and those servers are killed offI do would be a waste of money.
Smart As I think is leaderboards and killed off servers.
Assassin's Creed Liberation I think it's still online no idea if the HD versions have the multiplayer either.I doubt it like all remasters of games. Like Uncharted 2&3 the PS3 version multiplayer is great but of course not in the PS4 versions. I like keeping the PS3 Uncharted 3 for the 5 chapters that was a fine mode the story co-op missions.
I mean ZombiU has no multiplayer on the PS4/Xbox One versions because well Gamepad was the focus of it to be a Fable Legends or dungeon master of zombie placement versus the human surviving.
But yeah don't own many Vita games with online.
Most are likely killed off servers by now for most games or low player counts/no players no more niche games as is likely the case on Wii U/3DS as well.
Or well seeking out players on forums like Minecraft.
I play mine every so often as many in the PS Store to check out and play.

Guess you didn't know killzone mercenaries had their servers shutdown a few months ago there is no way to play it online right now untill the community brings the servers back up

The vita was a tragic console. it was ahead of it´s time and sony didn´t have faith in it even tho it was extremely popular in Japan. Every console should have like 30 first party games to be worth a buy.
