    Once you go to the lariat package you get the 4wa option. Personally I think that option should come standard in the xlt and up trim. GM offers it that way. I just bought a 2024 F-150 lariat. My wife drives it most of the time. She doesn’t know when she needs to put it in 4wd. I would have been fine with an xlt. But a happy wife is a happy life.

    Love my 2024 supercrew Lariat! My 2020 lariat performed flawlessly. My 2014 lariat also performed flawlessly. Thinking I might just keep this one for awhile.

    I bought a new f150 limited last year. The thing that sets it apart is the way it drives and rides. I went in to my shopping not knowing what I wanted. I drove every brand out there. When I got inside the ford and and before I had driven 100 yards I knew this is the truck for me.

      That’s awesome! I’m glad you ended up with the right feeling truck. 🛻

    Another good one….i have had several F150s….always liked them…my last F150 was a loaded up 2000 XLT which came in at about $18K… at the time that was the most expensive vehicle I’d ever purchased…. Times have changed… a very good looking truck.

    Nice review!! & sweet truck! I think ford did a nice job on the refresh and I usually favor Chevrolet. Hope you can over time get a chance to test all the F150 setups. Be curios to get your opinion on the 2.7, 5.0 & powerboost 3.5.

      Thanks, and yeah these are designed really well, especially the interior IMO. I’ll try do do a few more trim levels over time! I’ve never driven a power boost but I’ve driven a few of the other trim levels (although mostly before starting my channel), and they’re all very impressive. But a 0-60 comparison of these engines might be in the future like I’ve down with the Chevy’s! 😉

    These trucks are too expensive, but the stx 4x4 is a decent value. I bought my 2023 for 52k vs 36k in 2018 and 29k in 2014 for comparable trucks.
    I am pleasantly impressed with the 3.5 ecoboost power and fuel mileage.

      Trucks definitely have become way too expensive. But I agree, these 3.5 Ecoboosts always impress me with how efficient they are at putting the power to the wheels!

    This is the best handling and the most advanced truck
    Unlike GMC that uses a body from the 1600s

    If I were to buy a F150 today, all I’d need is a super cab 4WD, 302 (5.0L) V8 and a 6’ or 8’ bed.
    An XLT is fine.
    I don’t need all of the bells and whistles.
    My last Ford pickup was a 2011 year model. It was an XLT, which was just below the Limited. I don’t know if they had the Platinum back then or not.
    Back in my day there were only 3 trim levels on a F150:
    Custom, XL and XLT. And yes I’ve had all 3 trim levels.

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад +1

      I think the XLT is the sweet spot! More manufacturers seem to keep pumping out more expensive and luxurious trim levels. Probably because their margins are higher with those extras. 🤷‍♂️😜

      Same. With that said, I really don't like the interior on this one.

    The only thing i don’t understand about this trim is why they did gloss black around the grille instead of chrome since it’s clearly supposed to be a chromed out trim. The gloss black Looks very wrong but overall I’m loving these new front ends especially the stx

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад

      That’s a good question! Maybe it’s to emphasize the new grill design, idk. 🙃

    Good looking truck. I don't know if I would go with the 3.5 eco boost or the 5.0 coyote. 40 million is an incredibly large number of trucks to have made. Ford should be pretty good at making trucks.😊

    • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
      @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад +1

      Yeah, they do look sharp! Both engines are quite stout. I think if I ever owned one and was not going to supercharge it, it would probably be a 3.5 because of the elevation and how a stock out one should out perform the 5.0. I should have included a video of a tuned 3.5 acceleration, it can knock its time down to the mid 4’s lol. 😲
      Also, I think the total F series truck sales are in the low 30M range, I swear I had heard years ago that they already passed 40M. I must have confused that with how many years they’ve been the best selling vehicle. 🤷‍♂️ Anyways, thanks again for watching and adding your thoughts! 🙂

  • @AutomotiveAnonymous208
    @AutomotiveAnonymous208  Месяц назад +1

    The 33” tire size is more specifically a 275/60/20. I have no idea how after mentioning it’s a 33” did I say it’s a 227mm tread width. Also, the F series truck has been the best selling for over 40 years, but only low 30M range has been produced, not 40 Million… 😂🤷‍♂️

      You also only need to hit lock once and then the start button twice on fob to remote start.

    That black grill just looks off. Especially on a truck with the chrome package. Fords great at letting you know you got a lower trim package. No lights in the visors and no armrest in the rear seat still blow my mind. You have to step up to the lariat trim to get those features.

  • @musicovermyhammond9994

    The grill on this truck looks like it belongs on a ranger. Now you have to step up to a lariat to get the chrome grill. Ford knows what to do to get the profits up 😂

    Very nice truck. I don't agree with people just accepting the price. The laws of supply and demand still applies. This is no more evident than the overflowing dealer lots. Back lots and hidden away storage lots. This truck is a prime example of someone taking a barely affordable truck adding on 10-12 thousand dollars and rendering it unaffordable and worthless to the public and the dealer. So it most likely will collect dust along side the lightening.

    • @rdsii64
      @rdsii64 2 дня назад

      That isn't true. People are lining up to by trucks from every brand. Unreasonable dealer mark up is why people see full lots. The price alone will not stop folks from buying these trucks. There are plenty of folks who are willing to drop $50k and more. The last time I was on a dealer lot they tried to get me to finance a truck for 7 years. Yes you heard that right. Folks are paying interest for 7 years on a truck loan.

    Automakers need to improve their cloth seat fabrics. It looks like, every US built car get's their fabric from the same place. Fabric seats used to be inviting, and they were soft and comfortable - also more colorful. They decided to sell everyone on leather, so they switched from velour to whatever this crap is.

    The 0-60 time is pretty much the last thing I'm worried about in a pickup. If I needed that, I'd buy a sports car. I'm far more concerned about payload, towing capacity, ride, durability, and convenience features.

  • @clints8731

    New vehicles are for the rich. We make 140k a year and I feel like I'd need to make 3 times that to justify buying a new truck. I'd never by one with a V6 tho. My son works at a Ford dealership and says they might look good new but many come in with defective electrical and weird leaks in their first year.

      I hear you. You’d think making that much a family would feel extremely well off. But unless you’re totally debt free including the mortgage it just doesn’t feel like that much. First world problems though. 🤷‍♂️🤪

      That’s a good observation! Sorry I wonder if that changed for the 24 model year mid generational refresh? Otherwise due to the performance and window sticker stating it’s a 3.5 I didn’t think twice. 🤷‍♂️🤪

    You say the info touch screen resolution is not as good as it could be, and the touch commands are 'laggy'...... look back at your video at that section and you will see that you are trying to look through and operate it through a plastic protective shipping screen cover. Remove that, and you may find both resolution and touch performance to be better.

      Great observation, that could definitely have a part to play in my initial impression of it! 🙂
