I GOT ATTACKED BY A DOG

  • The entirety of the in-home visit was captured via chest-cam, I don't think many people have seen a first person P.O.V. of an actual attack, and what happens in those moments, so I thought I would share this. I normally wouldn't attempt to put any tools on the dog myself, I would hand them to the owners, however, in this case, I chose to take the chance, because I didn't want the possibility of the dog being uncomfortable with a muzzle being put on so suddenly, and acting out, toward any of the ladies. I did what was best in my opinion, and in retrospect you always think there could have been more or less done, but this is the reality of my dog training adventure, and I think it's worth sharing. Leave your comments below, questions or criticisms. See you in the next video!

This beautiful boy is so anxious and scared. He's had to defend himself his whole life, he doesn't know any different. Street dogs take more extensive training and require consistency; they should not be in homes where they can't get that constant direction.
I would love an update on this boy. ❤

"all the tail wiggling and lip licking is saying the dog is anxious and doesn't know what to do. Give him a job he needs to take care of so he doesn't have to make decisions for himself. "
Why do I feel like I am the one getting trained in how my own conscious works?😄

Any reason you didn't put a muzzle on the dog? Atleast for early evaluation which may have prevented the bite. Could you have done something different now ?

I would love for you to train my thanos if you’re ever in New York! He’s a 200lb stubborn defensive English mastiff. He’s been turned down by 3 trainers because of his size and defensiveness (2 were k9 trainers). It seems to be with males. But he’s a big playful puppy that can seriously hurt someone and he did try to bite two trainers while on the pronged leash while we were holding it (thank god I had him on the collar and leash). But he didn’t give any indication he was going to do it and it wasn’t like he was trying to continuously go after them. Idk. I’m feeling hopeless. I have 4 kids, 18 down to 3, and they always have friends in and out. Currently I keep him crated or in the pen when people are over because of the fear of him biting someone. You’ll probably never read this but I don’t know what to do.

It is like watching a horror film for me personally. I had a Belgian malinois for 2 years and it was such a hard time. The more I showed him affection the more up nose he got. Got bit more then 10 times the last ones were so severe that I feel anxious near dogs that show their teeth. I loved dogs since I was a kid but I didn’t need this experience. If I could turn back time I would definitely get a smaller more family friendly kind of dog . I am happy that Ateş ( my dogs name) now is in good hands and with an owner that knows how to train him.

This is so weird! I don’t understand why the dog acted that way with you. Was he fearful of you? 😮

    • @pinkmosquito22
      @pinkmosquito22 Год назад +1

I feel for you, I really do. I just need to point out that "smaller" dogs aren't necessarily "family friendly". Please be careful categorizing as each dog has their own personality and demeanor. I'm an avid pitbull lover and advocate, and I've also been bitten (through denim jeans!) by a young, less than 1 year old, Chihuahua.

Curious, have you done a follow up on the dog? Did they continue on with what you taught them? There's a lady in my town that has an absolutely vicious boxer that went to a trainer over a year ago and never kept up with the work and now he's so much worse. I spoke to her last night and she said she felt bad being harsh to the dog, and I said it's not about your feelings, it's about your responsibility to your dog. If there wasn't a fence between her and I last year, her dog would have killed my then 4 month old GSD. His prong collar came apart and he charged the fence and only stopped short because he ran into it.

@Sharon Montano he's not intact. The grandmother stated after the last bite near the end of the video that he was recently neutered. I was wondering that as well so I was happy to hear he had been neutered. I noticed right away that he appeared to be fully intact but because of the mature neuter he's just all coin purse no coins IYKYK 😏

7:45 Grandma understood exactly what this is all about... at least the vast majority of the time, when it comes to dog owners. 👍😉
I swear, this conversation really happened:
"What do you do for a living?"
    - I'm a trainer of people.
"What do you mean? What kind of training?"
    - I teach dog owners how to properly interact with their dogs, but if it's already too late, I help them achieving some behavioral corrections, and finally help them both getting rid of unnecessary stress, frustration and discomfort, hopefully for good.
I'm basically like a parenting counselor, but with dogs instead of kids.
“C'mon man, are you serious? You can't compare dogs to children.”
    - I'm and I can, and I just did, but only from the perspective that they both sleep, eat and poop all day, which is fine, but if you don't show them how to behave correctly, they'll later have more problems, the older they get. That's it. 😉🙂
"I see. So, you're a sort of dog whisperer or something. That's great! Respect!
    - Well, as I said, I'm more like a human whisperer, but yeah, thanks bro. I appreciate it! 🙂

This dude is pretty much the defenitipn of calm and the kind of person that when you finally piss them off you are instantly regretting it like his foot was bleeding and he was pretty much calm just dealing with adrenaline flowing through his system like damn xDD

Halter is an issue, esp with an aggressive dog! One can’t have control of a dog in a halter!
He definitely needs a muzzle, esp if there are non-family members about!
This is the wrong dog for them! He needs an experienced owner!
