- Former speaker of the House Bronwyn Bishop says the Indigenous Voice to Parliament was merely a mechanism to have an entity at the federal level with which Labor thought they could then negotiate with.
Ms Bishop joined Sky News to discuss the political fallout from the losing referendum and to blast Prime Minister Albanese for leading the campaign.
“You cannot have a treaty with yourself - we are a single nation,” she told Sky News Australia host Paul Murray.
“Albo the trot, seriously, all he was ever good at was ‘I just want to fight Tories’.
“He is a hopeless leader now badly damaged and you watch the knives come out for him.”

For a start it’s Labor. The referendum was not unlawful. It went through appropriate processes. Even Dutton voted for the legislation that allowed the referendum. Where did you get this rubbish?
