- Prime Minister Anthony Albanese accidentally turned CLP Senator Jacinta Price “into a superstar” through the Voice debate, says Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
His remarks come after Australians overwhelmingly rejected the Indigenous Voice to Parliament at the referendum last Saturday.
“Without the Voice referendum she would not have been promoted into the Opposition’s Indigenous Australians spokesperson,” Mr Bolt said.
“She would never have been given all the platforms, all the speeches, sold-out halls, daily interviews.
“They’ve created the potentially, I think, a deputy prime minister, maybe as soon as the next election the Coalition wins - maybe even a future prime minister.”
I am a fifth generation ausie of English heritage. Jacinta is an absolute gem and i hope her calm and rational approach is recognised within the party. We can only hope she is elevated to a suitable position.
Jacinta Price is a great Australian, articulate with a sharp intellect, she has run rings around Albanese, and Burney in particular.

See her also neatly side-step questions on why she didn’t do anything about Dv and child abuse when she held local positions since 2020 and her mother was part of NT government.

Jacinta was calm, rational and cohesive in her approach. Loved that unlike Albo she did not slander the other side. Refreshing. Even Dutton gave a good post voice speech about bringing the country together and moving forward.
Even the deputy PM gave a better, more balanced and thoughtful speech than Albo.

I completely agree with Jacinta's idea for an audit of spending! It is not an attack on her own party and it's a way of finishing it exactly where the billions have been wasted, to reallocate in other ways in order to make a real difference indigenous Australian's lives. Constantly impressed by her
IMHO an audit needs to be done on the ENTIRE Liberal National Party to "clean house" so to speak. I personally am sick of each of the major parties playing the blame game and pointing fingers at everyone else. Each party member needs to take their oaths seriously and demonstrate that by tidying their own party up. Clear out all the corruption. Make the LNP great again.

I voted No and Jacinta's speech on Saturday night brought me to tears because of her moral fortitude. It's a great pity that there are not many politicians in this great country with the same guts and fortitude. Let's hope her party put her up on a pedestal for the future.

Jacinta has true leadership qualities. If one thing this referendum has shown is that the majority want real change with disadvantaged aboriginals, and reject the supporting the elites (and millionaires) such as Pearson, Langton et al. Price and Mundine have my support.

And, unfortanately, a lot of those financial resources are used up and whittled away before they even reach the people for whom they are intended. Often it is non-Aboriginal people to whom that money goes.
