- During this week’s vlog, I bring you along to our local Point To Point, which was such a fun day with loved ones, horse racing and picnics!
My dear friend Theodore was visiting from California and joined us for the day, so I gave him a real taste of the English countryside.
I also give you a quick tour of our garden, show you my DIY dog-grooming attempt, and talk a little about our holiday home in Devon.

I do also talk a little about the loss of our dear Maud. Last week was quite emotional to say the least, but the children have been so brave. It was the right thing to do, but it’s never easy to say goodbye.

Dear Charlie, as a fellow dog-mama I can relate to the heartache. I am sending much love your way ❤ Also, can I say how jealous I am of your weather? Here in Florida it is hot and humid most of the year and I don't believe I will ever get used to it! Some people blossom in the warmth, for me it's the cooler weather that makes me happy and active. The heat melts me! 😄

Hi Charlie enjoyed seeing you with your gorgeous little dogs. Update on my 2 fur babies... Poppy is recovering well. Little Pixie finished the antibiotics today but I am continuing with the daily pain relief. She gets the stitches out on Thursday. It will be difficult to look at her with the eye missing. The Vet said once the hair grows it won't be so noticeable. Thank you for your kind comments. Bye for now G 🫶

Thanks for your blog as always Charlie. Lovely to see round your garden. We just have a very small garden but have 4 fairly large raised beds which we are just beginning to plant up with onions, leeks, beetroot and spinach. Courgettes will follow in due course plus radishes and lettuce. So pleased that it’s getting warmer and sunnier although today has been frightfully wet here in Bucks. I hope you all enjoy your break in Devon. (I have sent my condolences for dear little Maudie separately as you are aware ) Lots of love Anne xx

You don’t need to apologise for being emotional, loosing a family pet is heartbreaking. We lost our first girl at the age of 14 last year and I still get a lump in my throat sometimes when I think about her. We buried her in our woodland so she could be close to us. Your videos are lovely, like having a (one way) cosy chat with a dear girlfriend.
