This week, I want to share the highlights of our eventful week in Scotland.
From celebrating our wedding anniversary at home where we listened to our daughter Coco sing in church, to experiencing the incredible Gordon Castle Highland games in our beloved Scotland accompanied by Archie, this week has been a heart-warming one to say the least!
The Highland games were simply spectacular. From the spirited marches to the highland dancers, the Gordon Setter parade and other brilliant entertainment, it was an experience to cherish! I made sure to capture as much as possible, so you could join us virtually.
Sigh and I got to spend some time together with Lola the Labrador, who accompanied us on our many walks along the breath-taking beaches and countryside.
I decided to try something new, so donned my waders for a spot of salmon fishing. Along the banks of the river Spey, I attempted spey casts, guided by the very patient Alan!
Lastly, we had the pleasure of exploring the stunning Gordon Castle Walled Garden. The transformation since my last visit four years ago was stunning, you must visit if you’re ever in the area - we can highly recommend the cafe for a bite to eat too.
Do watch my latest vlog to come along with us, and let me know if you have any questions about visiting the area - it is a place that is so incredibly dear to our hearts that I’d be thrilled to answer them!
Wishing you all a wonderful long bank holiday weekend,
    Love, Charlie x

So glad Archie’s eye is better. I have never taken chances with my kiddo’s eyes. Too easy to get serious complications (used to work in healthcare, have seen it all!). Just love Scotland. My father’s family are of Scottish descent related to the Murray’s of Atholl. Have spent a lot of time up there throughout my life. Would love to live up there but too many important links with friends and family down south. Thanks for sharing your amazing Scottish trip allowing me to live vicariously in the country of my ancestors xx

You can’t take a chance with eyes can you! He is still black and blue but the swelling has gone down! It’s wonderful to have him home, they drove back in one go so an extra day with him! I know exactly what you mean I could be tempted to move up but too many friends down here! But such a beautiful place xxx

I was in Scotland last week, next to Loch Achray and Loch Katrine. Utterly beautiful. I can’t wait to explore more of rural Scotland☺️.

I'm sure it's beautiful but I just can't stomach the accent, or "oooch aye the noo" as they'd pronounce it
