The honeysuckle smells lovely but very aggressive, so keep it under control. My dad always raised an abundance of red raspberries. Mom would make frozen jam and after mom passed, dad made the jam. He lived to 98. Raspberries always remind me of them. I plan to start

You could put your patio table in the covered room, that way you can sit out there and listen to the rain! That's definitely meditative, and then the weather won't interrupt an outdoor meal.

Bonjour from Quebec. A very favourite show stopper is the clematis. I have found that although it looks dead in the spring after our very harsh winters in Canada, they always spring up and show the most beautiful flowers. so grateful to have them in my garden.; bees love them also.

aww so sweet of Dom to call us family. For the uneven grass I've (helped because it wasn't in my garden) put soil/dirt/maybe compost just on top of the gras. Thin layer so the grass sticks thruogh. If it's a to thick layer of soil you might need new gras seeds.

Hi Kay and Dom! 🙋‍♀️ you guys have done such a good job of your garden, it's really lovely and cozy.
Just an idea, I've seen you do some painting Kay, so I thought that room you have outside would be so cool to have a mural of greenery - tall plants and have it as your meditation/ zen area. It would be gorgeous to have some mini lights in the evening. I've always lived decorating so excuse my rambling on. Personally I'd love to see more videos Kay! 😊🌷💚👋🌱

Looking great! Your raspberry will throw out little suckers making new plants for you and can be a little invasive if not kept in check. Your raised bed looks lovely, good job Dom! A tip when filling with compost though is not to stomp it down, plenty of air and room for drainage will help your plants to grow and be happy and healthy 💚 ☺ 🌱 xx

Something I do for raised beds is hugel kultur method. Saves a lot of money and reuses what I already have lying around. I use cardboard first then layer With food scraps, old rabbit bedding, grass clippings, hedge clippings, twigs, branches etc then another layer of brown cardboard and then compost to the top layer. This method works wonders as everything breaks down slowly overtime and as I said before it saves alot of money.

Brilliant video, loved it. ❤ I would put something on top of your soil on your raised bed. Usually straw under strawberries to keep them off the soil, stops them rotting and less likely to be eaten by bugs. I have grit under mine, you could use larger stones etc. Also your raspberry will take over the bed eventually sending up runners. As someone else suggested would probably be better in ground against the wall. Just some suggestions. Hope they're helpful. Also your covered area I would paint all the walls and you can get different click outdoor tiles from IKEA that would look nice on the floor. I'll stop now! Lol. - Frances

Your and Dom's work has really paid off. Everything looks lovely. Just a little note, no need to compact the soil in the raised beds. Your plants will grow so much happier in aerated soil.

Lovely garden, your strawberries will send off runners after they produce their fruit and create more plants, so you’ll be able to decide how many you keep going forward as they are easy to control. As for you room maybe a rattan sofa or two chairs and an outside rug with coffee table and candles make an outside space for the rainy days or evenings OR you could find a rustic old pine table to put over the rug with some mismatched chairs and create an al fresco dining area for the evenings etc

Wonderful Kay. I think you have more than one raspberry there in that plant as that's often how they sell them you might want to check that out??..Each stick is probably one raspberry then it would be better to plant them at the back so they can grow up the wall on supports and you could move the strawberries to the front. Check out planting raspberry canes on you tube!! When we got our allotment an older person came and told us as we too planted the whole thing and we were so grateful because we were novices and didnt know..lol. Dom and yourself have made a terrific job of the raised bed what a lot of hard work and how neat you have got it all. I love watching you two work together and you have made a wonderful job of the garden it just gets better all the time. Perfect. great video. xx

As a layperson who has never planted yet somehow always had raspberries, they seem very hardy and quite good at self-propagating. They will happily take over that entire raised bed, and don't really need the ease of maintenance the raised bed offers either, so you may want to move them. I am incapable of killing them despite never caring for mine in any way- weeding, watering, fertilizing, none of it- might just be the climate and soil in my area though, YMMV. They might produce better if I did those things, but I don't have the energy. That said, They kind of need their own area purely so you have a visual for how much is "too much" for you (so you know when to prune) because even if you only start with one bush, you will definitely receive more whether you like it or not xD They might be easier to manage with a lattice for them to grow on, so they grow upward more than they "bush" outward, but they can do fine without too, just more chaotic in my experience.
Side note, your not knowing how big strawberries get (especially in comparison to raspberry plants which can end up quite tall in my experience) gave me a great chuckle, thank you! They stay quite low, to the point where the berries often touch the ground and begin rotting due to contact with soil. This can be mitigated quite significantly by adding a topper above your soil, like straw or mulch, as others have mentioned, so the berries end up resting on something that retains less moisture than dirt. As a bonus, toppers also help stop weeds! Happy gardening!

First, I hope as you edited this video and saw how freakin hard you worked, you realized how very much you deserved and earned that takeaway! Second, why do you keep saying Indian is unhealthy? (granted the side of fries is not traditional :P lol.) Speaking as an Indian (Caribbean mind you, but still) our food is very healthy lol. The garden is looking amazing Kay! Would the swing fit in the little zen room next to the potting shed? I definitely keep picturing a zen meditation type space back there! Ohhhh if I could just come and visit and we could design it up together! I (rather selfishly, I do admit) and thrilled that I will see you pop in 4 times a week, but more than anything, please take care of you love. You matter xo. K

Hi lovely! I’m fine thank you, I mentioned on the community tab and on instagram that my dad had a bad fall and I’ve been helping him the last few weeks. Sorry to cause you concern but I appreciate your kindness ♥️ will be back as usual at the weekend 🤗♥️

Hi, I wanted to get a ragdoll kitten. Could you please give the name of the breeder of your cats? Love your videos!
