- In this video, I will be explaining what learning communities are and how they work at Purdue University. I'll be covering the CS/Engineering LCs since they're the ones most commonly asked. There's also a channel update, so make sure to watch until the end!!!

Really one of the best college youtuber. Very informative and fun videos. Keep at it 🙌
Data Mine -1:29
EPICS -2:45
Computer Science LC- 4:30
This video literally is my answer to every reddit question about the datamine. Thanks for making this, this will save me a lot of time every time I explain to some freshman what the datamine LC does and it's true worth.
Also for CS LC, you don't necessarily need to be part of it to take CS 191, or CS 193, like those classes every CS and DS major does regardless. I guess they do it more for the social aspect.

Thanks for the feedback!!! I’m glad it’s been useful for explaining it to freshman because I’ve also noticed the same ever since I came to Purdue.
What about for athletes? Is there a LC for that or where do the freshman athletes usually live or where/how would you request to be closer to your team-mates?
6:45 - Yess, I was about to ask you to do one of those
4:57 There is nothing that brings a group of students together better than complaining about the ridiculous assignments that they are asked to complete ;)
also- is there any option to have a single in a suite as a freshman? (engineering/athlete) but you don't want to be TOO far from the building where training is? Not sure if you have feedback on that thanks
Me second ❤️
Great video! By chance, can you suggest any other popular/good LCs specifically available for FYE majors, besides EPICS?
Karthik Sundar Vertically integrated projects is another good one where you conduct research and do projects. Besides the data mine for engineering majors, engineering in the world of data is great for learning data science through an engineering lens by learning matlab and Python, which will help you a lot when building your resume and getting ready for career fairs. There are others but these seem very useful.
simplyNimal sounds good, thank you!
