After getting used to the pixie-hawk I did in the summer, I decided to reshape it and cut it shorter! What do you think? Did I fix it?

Everything aside but we must respect her ability and confidence to show even her mistakes and how she rectifies them... in most channels I see... they show only the best and cut out all mistakes.. but her content is best... fully honest and especially her confidence of trying out new things. not sure if its the same situation, but i live in a small brazilian city (its actually a capital of a state, but compared to many other cities it is pretty small, not even 900k residents) that is still pretty conservative and i usually get some weird looks for my long and painted hair, painted nails and earrings + septum piercing as a cis male, and what i usually try to do mentally is just ignore everyone and focus on my perception of myself. everything that i do with myself i do because i love it and it makes me feel better with myself, so fuck what everybody else thinks. even my family hates it, but what matters to me is mainly my opinion about it and secondly my friend's and significant other's support (oh and try to surround yourself with people that support your every decision, even if they don't personally like). i know it is probably much easier for me as white cis male, but maybe this way of thinking might help someone.

Your natural texture is gorgeous!! I love this haircut. Just remember you can do whatever you want with your hair, including straightening it and dyeing it. I’ve seen A LOT of pressure online from people saying textured hair is like “”sacred”” or whatever. Remember that we’ll always have your back no matter what :-))

You were my inspiration to accept my punk side I hid for so long and just say "fu€k it" and cut my hair. my parents hated me for it but I'm now mentally stable,happy in my own place with great job, I got my first tattoo this month that is a half sleeve that I designed myself. I am honestly amazed by how easy it seems to be for you to cut off all of the hair on the back of your head. I struggle with this so, so much! I also really have problems with perspectives in mirrors. >.> Maybe with more time it'll become easier for me, too. ^^ I like your cut with the v-bangs!

I realize this is three years old, but in case you read this, I am so glad you decided to put the straightener away! I liked it before and after! I've been hating my long hair lately, and itching to go back to my short spiky hair again!!
I recently got a short cut myself (somewhere right in between your before and after from this video)! My hair is much finer than yours, but I get great results bringing out my natural wave by washing, towel blotting, and spraying the top with a salt spray that has a light hold gel in it (I use the one from Lush). I scrunch the longer top up and arrange it, then let it air dry all the way. I brush through the dry, gel-crunchy hair until it's soft and nice, and then define with a tiny bit of hair pomade. Then I spray the top with high hold hairspray to keep the shape in place and help hold the volume.
That procedure takes less than 1 hour, and mostly it's just air drying time. And I get maybe 4-5 days out of it without dry shampoo before I have to wash it!

I love having short hair but I'm having a hard time cutting it cause everyone else says I need to keep growing it out cause I'll "regret it again" but I don't regret it and it's more fun having short hair, I'm not sure what to do

Can I just say you are the person who inspired me to go short? I've always hated having long hair and my mom refused to help me cut it short or take me to someone who could and after I found you I said fuck it, stole my dad's clippers and went to town cutting myself a pixie (very poorly but I've been maintaining it for two years and have gotten so much better thanks to watching your videos!)

5 years ago, i saw a video of her giving a death hawk. I used to love keeping my hair long but since that day after seeing her video I felt like cutting my hair short. I took all my courage and i just chopped it off. After that I have never grown my below my neck level. I also had shaved my head nearly 32 times with in these 5years. You're probably not going to read this, but i've been watching you for years and i have wanted to have a sidecut for the longest time because of you. Then recently stress got to me and i quickly began to spiral back to anxiety, my worst fear just became a reality. Yesterday tho, i had the courage to finally shave my hair, EVERYONE hated it including my boyfriend who openly admitted to being less phisically attracted to me because of it. Do i care tho? No, i think i look absolutely stunning and it's all thanks to you because you rock every hairstyle so amazingly, and i realized that it's not a sidecut that's going to make me look ugly, if people don't like it it's their problem not mine. Putting in a recommendation for you to get thinning shears! They're extremely forgiving and very good for DIY pixie cuts- I just got a pair and it absolutely changed my DIY short haircut game!!
