Thank you i had a hard time finding a pattern I liked until I saw yours they are finished, now making another pair in a different color. Your instructions were easy to follow. thank you again
I've just completed my second pair. A niece saw the pair I made my sis and wanted a pair of her own! So thank you so much for posting this. Instructions were easy to follow along. Have a blessed New Year!
omg I cannot believe it myself but i completed this loafer slipper from the sole up and i just learned beginner crocheting just a few weeks ago. this was a fun adventure, gonna make the other matching slipper to this now! thanks so much for these videos and demonstrations!
I agree with a lot of these comments I couldn't find a written pattern either until I found your video. I appreciate it so much when I can find a pattern. Your video is very clear also. I like to follow along so I see exactly what the pattern is. Sometimes I can't even understand the accent of the person speaking in the video. I am throwing away a pattern I tried and it didn't turn out. I am certainly doing your pattern. I wanted to tell you there is a place in written pattern you said it was a "hat". Lol I am typing up pattern but I typed shoe. Thanks so very much for all your hard work. I am following your channel.
I'm on the tongue part of the second slipper. I had not done a very good job counting so had to start over on the first. Now that I'm paying attention I got the second one with no probs. Looks great, thanks! I'll be making many more of these for the family.
Thank you so much for this pattern and tutorial. I did struggle at first but after a few attempts, have completed my first pair. It's beautiful! I did the outer sole in hemp string and the inner sole and body in cotton string. It's stretchy and soft and amazingly comfortable. I keep forgetting to take them off when I go out...
Thank you so very much for the free pattern and tutorial on these great slippers! I just finished my first pair and I love how they turned out. Great job on the video! Thanks again! And please don't get discouraged from such negative individuals who are just so miserable! 😊
Thank you!! This was a great video. I'm a beginner and I found it easy to follow I know basic stitches but I never decreased stitches before so I'm glad I was able to learn. The first loafer looks great and I'm sure the second will be too.
Just wanted to say, these patterns do work for men too. I use a bulky yarn and size 6 hook and work up several soles until I found which one fit. Just follow the pattern after that, no alterations and they come out great!
thank you for this tutorial, you are a very good teacher,I like the way you show what your doing, well done..look forward to more of your tutorials. Can't wait to try it out :)
hi Bethany..thanks for making this pattern available in printed form..l printed off all the sizes then from these were able to work out to convert to smaller/larger sizes by either subtracting/adding required stitches..l would include pictures but this site does not allow for that..l now have you saved to top bar menu to make it quicker to find your vids..thanks..happy crocheting..
I love these, but I am at a loss on the pattern, sizes and wool required, I went on your link whistleandivy to find there is no pattern at all, am I missing something please? Very frustrating
Thank you for showing me how to make those slippers I've been wanting to make I have a crippled foot in that think this slipper will work thank you very much Christine Canada
I love your sole patterns. I use it for all 4 of my sons. I plan on trying to make me some for myself. But glad you got a baby bootie for my soon to be baby girl😲 I'm excited to have a girl who I can make endless shoes with your sole patterns. Keep up the great job. I'll be watching for more videos. You're one of the ladies I look forward to seeing posts on IG and FB. Thanks for being such a great inspirational Teacher. Love from Gusher, Utah, Trista Tyler😊❤❤❤
I love these loafers! Your instructions are so clear and easy to follow. I'm making several as gifts for Christmas this year. Oh, do you have any suggestions on how I can reduce the size of these slippers? I'd like to make a pair for my 90 year-old mother, but she has such small feet-girls size 3! The smallest size on your website is a 6. Thank you!
Omg you don't even want to know how long it's just taken me to make this!!!! 😂 I can't believe I have to do it all over again tomorrow for the next one hahaha. Thank you though, at least one of my feet is cosy now! 😀
Beautiful! a friend requested a pair for herself and matching pair for her daughter (toddler size 4). do you have a similar pattern for toddler sizes? I would reeeeeeally appreciate it!
Hello! These slippers look great! I have 225 m of yarn (well, 450 m, but it's weight 1 sock yarn that I will be doubling up to achieve the gauge) that I would like to use for this project. Will that be enough to make a size 8 pair, including both soles?
I am making a pair in a chunky velvet yarn. So far I have only made the soles, finished last night. I did crochet two layers and it has made lovely thick comfortable fabric. I am having a go at the rest today, I can’t wait to be able to wear them.
I LOVE THESE SLIPPERS! One question though, can I make them a bit higher, it kinda slips down on the heel... how can I make it a row or two higher, do I have to decrease? I would appreciate ur help.. xx thx
Hi! I liked your video.want to try to make one. Can I ask how to add stitches? I skimmed your free pattern,it's for a size6,I'm a size 9.also a stupid question but I am really curious can this be worn outdoors?😅 Hope you'll reply.Thank you so much!
Hi my name is Sandrea. I live in Wy but I am from the Navajo Reservation. I started recently crocheting. I wanted to try out these loafers but with flip flop soles. And I figured out how. Thanks for the pattern. I love my new loafers.
Sandrea Roan, they are so easy, but first she has a tutorial on how to do the soles if you want I'd love to help you, my mother taught me and my nana taught her, she died before she could teach me. Mom shower me the basics and I have been learning as I go. I could show you most of the crochet lingo so the videos are easier for you. Some times some of these videos can be over whelming if you don't understand the terms being used, like half double, and double, front post stitch, foundation chain. But most the videos show you how to do it all. Happy berry crochet is a really good source of crochet tutorials. I've only been crocheting for 3 years but you'd think I'd been doing it my whole life lol. Let me know I have Facebook and I could help give you some pointers thru video chat or something. My fb is bobiijae790@gmail.com, I would be glad to add you. Happy crocheting girl!
hello. thank you for your tutorial. I, basically a new crocheter. I fimiahed building the body but notice that the top of the toe part is off centered. I was EXTREMELY careful to follow each stitvh. the video amd the written. not sure what im doing wrong..?
Really trying to make these!! I'm pretty new to crochet, but I'm now on my 8th try of the first slipper! Every time I get to the end of Round 3, where you're finishing of with 11 SC, I still have about 13 more STs to get to where I started the round! I've ended Round 2 with the count coming out correctly and joining with SL ST where it's supposed to be, but can't seem to make Round 3 come out correctly! Any guesses?? I'm determined to figure this out!!
Can you do a boys loafer with this exact pattern? This one is too narrow. His foot is approx 8.5 inches. I've made 4 slippers and none of them turned out. I have a book with this pattern but the instructions were so vague I was lost.
This looks great but i wish the pattern for sizes 6 & 7 are clearer on the website. Maybe because my level in crochet is pre-intermediate so i was having a hard time. Ive tried the pattern several times thinking i didnt do it right but no matter what i do, the number of stitches or crochet per rows seem to be too much that i had to tweak the pattern. Too bad, i love the design of this boat slipper
I must try it for me and my neighbor that is 83 years old to keep her feet warm on cool nights also thank you for not charging its hard on a fix income like S.S.I monthly, do you know of places that I can receive free yarn plz & thank you
Jacqueline D Franklin jenniferknits.com/login/customer.aspx Here is a website that offers free stuff. I don't know if they offer the yarn in your area but it's worth a try. I had a client who went to a adult day care center and they would give her free yarn, hooks and needles to complete her projects. She went their as a regular. But you can check to see if they would also give you yarn etc. People donate to non profit organizations as such. Churches maybe another place.
So I bought the pattern. But you mention only the first round to join with a slip stitch. So I got a bit confused. Then I watched this video again and again and see that with every round for the body you end with a slip stitch. Would have been nice to mention this in the pattern too. Excellent tutorial. I don’t know why ppl complain. 👍🏼
Delayed but when she starts to build up go in the opposite direction. That's what I did and it's turning out pretty well (working on the top part right now). I'm left handed.
I know your comment is 2 years old, but in case someone else asks, I use the patterns for my son's, sizes 10-14 men by using a bulky or double Red Heart. Size 6 hook. I use her written patterns just as written. A size 12 men is about the size 7 in her patterns. Comes out great every time.
Love love love!! When you get to the top of the loafer, how many hdc do you do when you're going back and forth...I'm not sure if I'm increasing every time I turn around...guess I'm a real counter! 😊
Thank you i had a hard time finding a pattern I liked until I saw yours they are finished, now making another pair in a different color. Your instructions were easy to follow. thank you again

Finally. Slippers in my size that I don't have to alter and that fit perfectly! AND stay on! Thank you for your very accurate and easy tutorial!
I just made my slippers, they are adorable and so soft. Thank you for your help and attention to detail.
I love how you post the stitch's on the top of the screen
Karen Record v mom);
I used your pattern and graded it up for size 13 mens slippers. Worked great! Thanks!
How did you make it in a men size
You are a wonderful teacher. Thank you for sharing this beautiful pattern. Your so patient and explain each stitch. We the beginners thank you.

Made these ,turned out great! I stiched a quick dry sheet to it's back instead of making 2soles..love it!

I like the idea of the double sole, and for stitch markers I found that small colored paper clips
Wow! These are great. I must try to make these for my family. Thank you for the tutorial.

Hi, can you tell me how many stitches to the right from the toe do i need for a smaller size sole xx

If I use a heavier yarn ,say a bulky weight, can I skip making two soles together ?
thank you

bethany dearden wish I could posta pic but idk how. I finished the first one (the body) and the decreases seem to be mostly to the right.

i love theses they're perfect for the holidays but can you wear them outside?
laaundreanna avelino I would think you can as long as it's not wet out, and you used a yarn that is washable 😀
Okay thank you

Jacqueline D Franklin try Craigslist or a local charity thrift store. Finding free yarn is kind of difficult.
Very nice gesture to make your neighbor some slippers 😊
I absolutely love this pattern I left off a few rounds on the toe flap and added a pompom turning them into Tinkerbell slippers lol
bethany dearden they did I made them for a friend and she loves them

I LOVE THE TUTORIAL THAR GREAT PAIR SLIPPERS
I am trying to purchase the pattern but paypal keeps coming up blank. Is it no longer available for purchase?
So I bought the pattern. But you mention only the first round to join with a slip stitch. So I got a bit confused. Then I watched this video again and again and see that with every round for the body you end with a slip stitch. Would have been nice to mention this in the pattern too.
Excellent tutorial. I don’t know why ppl complain. 👍🏼
what hook size are u using?
How do you make a 9 in half in women and 10 in men ?
Can this be done if your left handed
Amiea Elaban I've finished one slipper and I'm left handed. I just mirrored her actions
Amiea Elaban yeah you can
i laernt croshet from zero with my left hand
just fox on dierctoin
Delayed but when she starts to build up go in the opposite direction. That's what I did and it's turning out pretty well (working on the top part right now). I'm left handed.
Im left handed and could follow her ok. I would have to use stitch markers my mind wanders when im crocheting.
Done! What a great tutorial! I love my new loafer slippers 😃
You pages freeze up and won't load... :(
If I log on with Fire Fox I have no problems Thank you
That’s RUclips not her.
I love these!!! I made two so far but now I want to make one for my husband :) would u happen to have a pattern for men's sizes?? 😁
These are very nice - also intersting way of making sturdy soles :-)
Love love love!! When you get to the top of the loafer, how many hdc do you do when you're going back and forth...I'm not sure if I'm increasing every time I turn around...guess I'm a real counter! 😊
and I found my answer Bethany ~ should have checked the written version too :-) ~ thanks again...LOVE your creativity
Love it! Subscribed 🙂
