  • Ran over a show of fish and circled back around to inspect what was below. It was a trio of potholes with a nearby ledge. The fishing was good and loaded with snapper and grouper! I sent the camera down to inspect as well since I had to know what the bottom was we were fishing.

    What is in your chum bag? Are you using a frozen chum block, or is it something you cut up and make yourself?

    Is this the Garmin uhd that you use? Wanting to upgrade my unit to a touchscreen and the ability to mark on the fish while on plane to know exactly where they were when you seen them and be able to loop around and lock into the fish is an absolute game changer!

    Nice find angler,, 200+plus ft, kool,,, how fast were you traveling on plane when saw first blip on sonar,,,, our garmin gets unreadable after 20mph, maybe I need to change a setting.

    Just went out fishing yesterday, got hooked up on some monster reds but I kept getting broken off. I’m using a 60lb mono leader. What can I do to stop breaking off?

    • @CHAPPER15
      @CHAPPER15  4 года назад +1

      If the leader was breaking go up to 80 or 100 pound. Some ledges/structures have sharper edges than others. Those first 10-feet are so important grouper fishing, you can't give an inch.

    What bait.? What is working the best.

      Every day is different. This day it was bonita strips. The trip prior it was cut threadfin. Before that it was squid. We bring a lot of different baits and figure out what's working on a given day or spot.
