Good idea taking the hat off,I was riding the 2022 Kawasaki 310 lx a few days ago and my hat is now at the bottom of table rock lake in Missouri now!Nice jet ski terrible fuel efficiency compared to the Yamaha vx deluxe I had as a rental, bad comparison I know but that thing is really fuel efficient without the supercharger. My brother and his son own the sea doo gtx 300 and the 310 lx.The seadoo seems more refined in its power delivery and the Kawasaki is more raw power in my subjective opinion.Yamaha make an excellent jet ski excellent handling and very smooth ride,I think it’s just as smooth as the seadoo and Kawasaki. The Kawasaki will still beat you up over the rough stuff despite the deep hull, but very fast and fun, great jet ski!
Am so Happy you Guy's received 1 and look forward to your performance mods, I am a returning Customer, Cant wait, Kawasaki has recalled my 2022 Ultra 310 lx for reprogramming ECU, Hopefully your will Continue to Run with No issues
I am THRILLED you got your hands on one. Cant wait till we see your magic! Btw jaime "i start in full power mode because im not a wuss" had me rolling!!!
Thanks for mentioning the handlebar direction in reverse. As a Kawi owner who occasionally rides a seadoo, I much prefer the traditional way the kawi’s steer in reverse. I guess they either wanted to be consistent with competitors, or it’s necessary with a bucket that supports deceleration. We’ll just have to get used to it!
2x 22 or 23 310x's? or the older 310x's? They have KSRD, it's a brake of sorts, that dramatically slows the ski. It's a very similiar system to the iride, but controlled one handed. The seadoo system has a aggresive brake. Our kspeed ride plate for the new gen 310's does improve the braking performance of the new 310.
I’m looking for the same machine and will use your "safety" conversation as well. Plus in America the price difference is $3000 USA between the 160 and the 310. I believe the larger HP and supercharger will hold its value better ??? Just in case I need to sell in a couple of years???
I have a 2021 with less than 20 hrs, thinking of trading up but im not sure im ready to jump to a new platform that has no real engine changes. I know kawi is pretty capped out engine wise but ill hold out another few years for an ultra 320
Very nice video showing off the new ultra 310LX. Great content Jamie, thanks for sharing. Glad you guys finally got your hands on that bad boy. Can’t wait to see what you guys have in plan for even more performance. Billy D
Thanks Billy, We are working hard behind the scenes making what we can until we get our own. The ride plate is already designed for this model incorporating the extended reverse / brake additions. Once we get a chance to physically test it and fine tune the handling we will be sure to do an in depth video on it.
Hey guys, i have a 2018 310r i am not getting any charge to the battery. Is it worth swapping the regulator rectifier to cancel that out. The ski is new to me, but the battery was replaced not long ago. Possibly the last faulty battery caused the regulator to fail? Any help at all is greatly appreciated
Sorted thanks. It was the regulator. I'll be in next week for some bits from you guys😀 Just got kspeed 108mm pulley in the mail. . Also Will i be safe to use the ski with the 108mm pulley (stock ecu) while im collecting other bits and saving for your kspeed reflash. Will be using 98 otcane and not beating on the ski..
I bought the new 310x… everyone said its the best for offshore… I had a 21 rxpx but the bullhandle was uncomfortable for a female passenger. So I got the ultra, its the best ocean ski right?! NOT AT ALLLLLL! First off, just cruising in the flat water, hit boat wake at wake speed, scoops alot of water, rxpx did not. Then every wave big or small, hit it when it breaks, it nose dives into the wave! Will not ramp up the wave like the rxpx! If you do manageto jump a good wave, you get a face of water most times from the nose hitting the wave first! Why is the best jetski for the ocean sit so low in the front and naturally wants to push the front down??? Seems like its very opposite of what you want in the ocean. I wish i kept the rxpx and bought a cheap ski for riding passengers, instead I bought the most expensive ski and it sucks. The waterproof glovebox is not waterproof and the engine access lid is not watertight. They failed. Btw, trim it down on flat water, stand up and ease in the throttle, 310 will submerge itself fully if you let it lol wtf
Trimming down and applying throttle slowly, what do you expect it to do? It's doing what it should nose down. Trimming down at speed makes the ski turn aggresively. The rxpx and the 310x are very different hulls, and it sounds like you need to completely change your riding style or sell the ski to someone who knows how to ride.
@@Rhamlin7 Different ski's designed for different people. We will always be heavy, the ride plate prototype in testing resulted in a 3mph gain on all ski's we tested on. We were able to see a consistent 75-76mph with a stage 1 kit and the ride plate. We do however get slower numbers over here due to our humidity. It's a similar climate to Miam, FL
Great video! My only dislike is having to put your phone, keys, glasses towel in the side compartment vs center between your legs, i would be worried about loosing something im usually always grabbing my micro fiber towel to clean my glasses from getting splashed. I really gotta see this in person!
We do agree, It is taking some getting used too as we are bike riders and always dismount on the left hand side. So then everything is on the right hand side.
EXACTLY. Great machine and I will probably get this but their storage system SUCKS. You will almost have your phone out over open water on the left hand side gull wing. One wrong wave while getting into storage and item goes in the water. ALSO the front storage bin is a joke. Totally useless when on water. The good news for me is that I only ride a couple hours a day and don’t really need frequent access .
Nice review, I know the specs state 310 HP & 1890 pounds of thrust, but how does it feel like? How would compare the thrust of the other top of the line ski's by Yamaha and Seedoo? Greetings from Florida USA
Let’s just say picture a smaller version of Fountain/Cigarette boat w handle bars - it is sheer violence back there when you see some of the videos shot from back
The Kawasaki is a heavier unit with more power. Power to weight it's in the same category, however the lighter GP1800R and RXPX will walk away in flat water. However in the choppy water where the heavier hull comes into play, the Kawasaki will walk away from many modified skis due to the way the hull works. We get traction in rough stuff, the others get airborne.
@@BrisbaneKawasaki I could not agree more, I searched hard for ironclad hull (which Kawasaki is infamous for), larger size and supercharger was bonus and ended up w/ the LX-S due to my local waterway being a 100K square km lake with heavy swells and wake from very large boats; of course, I used safety as an excuse with the boss (wife!)

Wow after finishing your review I can safely say that kawasaki was not thinking when they designed the electronics! Way to many button pushing to do simple tasks.. for instance I have a gp1800r ho when I want to change speed I just need to touch the speed adjustment on the right handle bar no need to go into the screen for that! That also works when in no wake mode or cruise control. Then you went through and turned on launch control.. to be fair you have to do the same with mine but it's easier to get to on the screen and once the mode you want is set it stays set until you change it which I never do! The kawi is a great ski I'm sure I know it's more stable than mine is but I think kawai is too late to the game with their updates and because of that they are restricted in how they roll out their features because other companies already have patents on the better feature.. just my opinion
Haha what? To change speed while using cruise you push a right handlebar mounted button up to increase and down to decrease. It couldn’t be simpler…. I agree launch mode is not easy to get to but switching between power modes is a simple push of a button. Not sure you know what you’re talking about.
