It’s very heartening to read so many comments about how unappealing the modern aesthetic is. It gives me hope that class and timeless interior design is back in full force!
I’ve been a subscriber for years since it was called Matt and Summer. Love to see how the channel has grown and evolved. Just a request, would love to see you put the floor plan up to get our bearings like in the old days. It was iconic. Having it again this episode really made me realise how useful it is and how much it’s missed. Please bring it back!
The floor plan is a mess. Have you noticed all the stairs and steps? Whoever built this house in the first place had no idea what he was doing. Maybe two seperate houses and entries locked together?
I have a Victorian. I don't have 5 million dollars or pounds. Nevertheless, what I observe is that most of these Victorian renos are like modern Catholic church renos. That is, they strip the alter. The exterior remains anchored in the past and is admired for its beauty. The inside, however, has had it's main feature, the alter, removed and replaced making the main area sterile.
Nice house and presentation. Since its a luxury home show, suggest to start with the formal reception which is more elegant than starting with the kitchen.
You did a great job. The usage of Crittall doors was very smart, as it unifies spaces and other loved ones. I love the Crittall encasing of the entrance to the staircase in the kitchen, as well as the skylight above the stairs. Usually, I find the rooms in such houses too small, but, again, by using Crittall doors, you made the rooms feel much bigger. The backyard and the gym are awesome as well. The combination of that vibrant and warm wood with Crittall doors is a big winner. Kudos to you.
@@newmankidman5763 Thank you for the kind words! We love using Crittall doors in our projects as they really open up the spaces! Skylight above the stairs was also really important for letting light down into the basement too which works well.
@@AURAArchitecture I hate it !!! Good ideas, but downright ugly result. It's a large Victorian Semi. Now It's half'n half black metal Art Deco... WHY ????? 😡
Why buy a Victorian house if you just turn it into a nu build plastic shell? the banisters woul look at home at a high street bank... the only saving grace is the flooring which is not Victorian but is very nice. Kitchen is nice but not in keeping really is it....
Fantastic house, so well designed. The best we have seen in terms of layout and interior design. But your presentation was outstanding, timing and delivery was off the scale, my wife said you look sophisticated and elegant. Well done.
At first I wasn't sure about it but it grew on me the more space there was and functional space :) not sure about the glass doors enclosing the stairwell though. I think I would want it open to the kitchen and love the flooring. Very well done the architecture and minimally modern :) love the garden and separate space great for a studio or office. Well done Jasmine :) so does this camera also help plan a building as well or just for showing space afterwards?
We were the Architects on the project so thank you for the kind words! We had to enclose the stairwell with the glass doors for fire regulations, however the use of the crittall doors still keeps the light flowing through!
I don't like the TV/partition wall at the lower ground. It blocks out the natural light coming through the sky light from the kitchen. I also think you could dress up the courtyard a bit more rather than leaving it like a concrete box, maybe with a narrow running pond or a feature plant wall, at the moment it looks like a concrete box with stairs.
Understand location and London so impacting the valuation. But for £5m personally just not value for money. Car parking not acceptable at this price point. That's why I wouldn't live at such a location - London or not.
It always amazes me, these houses don’t have a tiny, one person lift. I’m thinking a tube shape made into a designer item. Just enough space for a hoover 😂
Wait, so you can not buy a giraffe 360? You can only rent it? So technically, you have to pay them to do the manual labour for them. What will they think of next restaurants where you have to cook your own food? Oh wait... dammit
There are some aspects that were nice but I tend to find the modern, straight-line, black & white motif rather unappealing. Maybe it just clashes with what the exterior initially presents.
Imagine spending all that money and then you can't listen to music on hi-fi without annoying neighbours because you're attached to them. Any house over £1m that isn't detached isn't getting my attention personally.

I can almost hear this poor house screaming in despair about what has been done to it. Its so cold it’s frigid
7:40...Jasmine gently twirling that big globe with her fingers, somehow captured my attention!...🌍
Hmmm......the inside doesn't really seem to match the outside. I expected more warmth
Kinda disappointed
This is a Victorian Semi gone Art Deco mongrel of a house....

Great fresh presentation Jas you smashed it with this one ❤ wish I could afford this house 😢

Nice house, should be priced lower at £3.6m - £4.0m to get the sale.
No. £2.5m max. £5m is a robbery
With London you’re usually paying for the location. I get that. But this is in Wandsworth Commons… Wouldn’t pay that much for that area
Wow, Beautiful
that house is very nice. But for 5million i would rather a property 45 mins out with some grounds
Stop moaning about the price, nobody cares what you’d rather have.

The house is not worth anywhere near 5 million The valuer is living in cloud cuckoo land. And shows just how greedy the developers have become.

I loved it but where is the home? The location in London is never mentioned?
Looks like Wandsworth near the common,,,
It's just by Wandsworth common :)

hey guys, you never said what area the property was in
South West London, Wandsworth. Trinity Road.
That car park looks like it fits 6 cars, not 2. Are there rules against how many cars you can park there?

I wish Omaze would concentrate on getting this style of property rather than the glass boxes they've become obsessed with.
Omaze houses are perhaps obtained for a special price.
Freezing cold victorian houses, still have single glazed shutters

wow they really completely wrecked all the character of this beautiful house - whatever boomer did the renovation has no sense of style or design
keep in mind most of the ‘character’ was probably long gone since it was converted into flats previously.
