I’m surprised it took so long for people to like full art trainers! I love FA trainers! And damn skyla Kreygasm
LOL
Its not that people suddenly liked it, its a youtuber made a video about how its a good investment so some people started buying them out to flip for money
@@beezalis1574 link to that video? to cause this much market movement that video has to have 100's of thousands of views
@@yaDmere I think he is talking about twicebakedjake. If so the video has 27k viewers.
@@reninngun yeah he was. I didn’t know these people had discord groups like they are some top secret organization hahaha. What weirdos playing the market like this. Another reason to not buy singles in this boom and just open packs for fun and collect sealed.
@@beezalis1574 yeah I meant to say increased in value not popularity, although more people started liking them
You know I was literally just about to ask about the crazy prices on these. I really hope that the prices drop back down a little bit, because I literally just started collecting these a few days before jake's video
@@linekings Oh I haven't bought any since then, I will wait.
Yuuup same. I hesitated on buying a Lillie’s Full Force last Saturday for $30 shipped...now its $90. Same, with Misty’s Favor. Was $100 for PSA 9...now $125-150 minimum for raw. Lillie’s FA was $200....now it’s $300. Crazy crazy.

So heres my concern with whats happening. About a week ago a Poke Tuber who's dose investing. He talked about how full arts are under valued and how he was going to start buying these. And i said ok now full arts are going to explode and here we go. These spikes in products or certain types card lately can be linked to a video from one of the big poke tubers. And its kind of scary. A poke tuber could buy a ton of a type of card then put out a video talking the card up. Wait a few day and the card goes up 200-300% and they make a fortune .
These prices are not authentic. There are "buy out" groups that are doing it. These buy out groups buy ALL the cards and restock them on TCGPLAYER rat a higher (inflated) prices. Join discord and you can see some of these groups. Squeeks Gaming was asked to join these groups.
which youtuber ?
thats how the game go
Twice baked . Don't take what i said as he's doing something wrong. He's not and he's a good watch. But i feel his video kicked off the spike. Same thing with burning shadows. Burning shadows was a crap set. Sat on the clearance shelves for months. And then real braking and L Heart did a few burning shadows videos talkimg the charizard up and boom.
Please elaborate on thats how the game goes.
I laughed so hard when you said "Look at all the Waifus!". Will never look at full art trainers the same again.
Nice video man been digging the content lately 🔥💪
This why I've come to love this channel this guy is so spot on
I'm just letting people know what I'm seeing. I think a lot of people on youtube do have generally good information, but we're all just guessing - educated guessing, but that's better and has served me fairly well so far.
I love this video. It’s crazy to see where the hobby currently is and I’m sure there’s no turning back. I remember buying all of these full arts because of the games and no other reason. I don’t play the TCG and I don’t grade, flip, or resell. I just bought them because I liked them. I bought most of them when they were like $4-$7 from my loca game store. 😬😬 so to see these new prices shocks me. Enjoy the cards and don’t see it as a “money opportunity”. 😐
I buy the cards because I love Pokémon, I love the characters, the games, the lore, etc. and bought a lot of these cards when they were $7-15. I got both Red’s Challenge and Blue’s Tactics for $15 each. I had been eyeing Green’s Exploration for a while, but kind of forgot about it. Then I went to check it out, and discovered these new prices....
For the longest time I always thought full art trainers were so underrated and kept buy them. Glad I did :)
It's the new "simp" vibe for these Pokemon girl full art collectors. Heck it is why I got Promo Marnie box with the Joker smile. I've been a big fan of Red, Blue, Misty, Giovanni and Marnie. I just pulled the Sonia FA the other day.
It's trend from Japan.
Mason i love the guys like u informational content on the hobby and how it moves, keep up the great videos!
Been specifically collecting full art trainers from mainly sun and moon era for over a year now. It was easy to see this trend coming. The XY Trainer’s were in the right path but still looked dull, the GX era perfected it, and the S&S era went too far with making them rainbow cards
You are 1000 % right Bucky.
*Me avoiding buying Rosa because FA cards usually stay at $50 and I'm trying to keep up with the current sets.*
Me: well that wasnt my brightest move.
I feel it man.
I didn't bid on a Sonia full art because I thought $12 was too much a few months ago ; _ ;
Completely irrational buying behind these prices...Eventually the majority of "investors" will move on, but I guess for us real fans, we might have to wait till 2022 before sweeping these up
Imagine me.
Buying Rosa at 40$ at September.
Package was sent.
Few months later.
Still didn't get it.
Thanks USPS.
@@hvr8463 I hope so... The majority of the FA trainers were already a bit too expensive before, now they're impossible to collect 😭

This video encouraged me to open a full art set of cosmic eclipse booster packs I had, and I gotta say I just lost about $31.
I checked your website every day, seems like you guys get hit hard by the stocking issues but I do watch every video
Thanks for watching! Yeah, sealed product is pretty abysmal right now. :(
TwiceBakedJake did a video saying he thought these would go up and that they would be a good investment. That immediately caused a spike
thats.......... not true...... they have all been steadily rising forever... go look up the aloan friends full art promos japanese like the sunset lillie about 5-7k for a mint one ungraded
was 800 on release
This kind of stuff is ridiculous. It’s why I hate speculation, hype-based marketing, and investors. People who don’t give a damn about the product or Pokémon itself just hiking the prices sky-high.
Now, for someone like me, who collects the cards because they actually like Pokémon (I’ve been heavily into it since Red and Blue dropped in the US) collecting has become next to impossible. I can’t even get sealed product anymore, I had people coming into my local comic/card shop while I was working there who would have never been caught dead buying Pokémon cards before, that were walking out with what little supply of sealed booster boxes we were allocated. Nothing can stay good forever, I guess, greedy people ruined Pokémon now.
I bought a couple copies of SM base set Lillie full art, and tried to buy under 15 with shipping. Wow the price went up. Glad I bought some at the beginning of the year.
They are probably all sitting in the warehouses waiting to be graded lol.
Lol yep! I got 8 RR Marnie and 6 standard FA marnie sitting at PSA right now
I'm a collector, not a seller. Ill be keeping my waifu thank you very much! haha
The price spike is partially due to the expectation of competitive returning, stimulus, and speculation, among others.
I'm surprised it happened so quickly in general, I just started to grab all the FA I wanted since November for actually decent prices and right as soon as I finish collecting the prices shoot up. It's actually incredible to me, never paid attention to the markets before but this recent jump got me interested.
The reason they aren’t popping up is because they are at PSA 🤣
I'ma be honest - the Pokémon card economy and market right now is ridiculous and frankly I'm tired of not being able to purchase my usual purchases when a set comes out (ETB and Booster Box) because scalpers are getting there first and inflating the prices to a point that I (and many others) are simply not willing to pay. I'm bored of this now and I just want to get back to playing IRL and being able to go to my LGS and get product :(
I can confirm as a Canadian seller that my stock has decrease for Full Art trainers, but you'd be surprised how many buyers want to cancel their orders.
I love those Cosmic Eclipse secret rares and picked up a couple sets quite awhile back, some really nice cards. I am glad I made that decision back then because like you said they were very low priced. I've also been trying to pick up full art trainers but man they are getting really tough to find now. One factor with the Wicke and Acerola full arts is the fact that Burning Shadows sucks so bad with the cutting errors so their prices are going to be down unless you can get super lucky and find a first print run. A few months ago I checked through all the Wickes on eBay and every single one that had a pic had the cutting errors. I eventually found some first print run Burning Shadows packs and pulled a mint one from a pack along with Acerola. Very happy. Those 2 as PSA 10s are going to be astronomical.
Good information as always. Glad to know about the pikastonks website!
dude pokemon center lady from flashfire has always been super super undervalued and now it might shine some light on it i'm hoping lol
I just bought Misty, Brock, Oak, Red's Pikachu, Team Rocket, Reds challenge, Blues determination, and Red+Blue (Japanese version because they look better and are still pretty cheap) because I saw them on your video. They are so beautiful that I'll frame them and put them on the wall as a token of the first game I ever played (Pokemon Blue). I guess if you have just one it would be nice to keep them, whether you're a collector or an investor.
Here’s my issue. I’ve recently gotten back into Pokémon and was sick and tired of making trips to stores and finding absolutely no stock and seeing everything be scalped. So what did I do? I said screw it and started buying singles online because it’s literally the only place to find cards in my area. And look at what’s happened now. I feel like it’s only gonna get worse. To me it’s the same issue with trying to find cards for MSRP right now. The only way to fix the problem is for Pokémon to print more stuff. Not these small little waves that get immediately bought out by people that aren’t even opening the product because they wanna collect sealed. So now there’s no cards to open and that means less singles to be bought second hand. It’s just like why making MSRP go up wouldn’t change the way scalpers are buying everything and wouldn’t solve anything.
I think a real issue is the economy, what does it say about where were at if its more viable to earn money to scalp product from walmart and target and not go get an hourly job? I know its not easy to get a job atm, but thats kinda my point.
A lot of these full art waifus are from old sets though. Out of print sets that were heavily printed at the time. Recent sealed product collectors would not have any impact on the full arts from a year back.
@@jakwnd I don’t think it’s the economy as much as I think people are doing any and everything they can to avoid getting a job
@@cooper6818 Kinda hard to get a job right now, at least in the US for unskilled laborers.
@@jakwnd it may not be easy but it doesn’t change the fact that some people are simply refusing to apply themselves to get a job/to a job. These people look for money anywhere and bandwagon on every “monetary trend” for a quick buck while receiving government assistance/unemployment.
Pokemon has now become a hypebeast sport. You may not like it but its sadly gona stay like that as long as theres a demand for pokemon cards. Been in the sneaker game a long time now and tbh theres not that much difference in pokemon cards and shoes. If people want it, there will always be people that buy to sell at a higher price.
It's called buyouts. Its basically scalpers but online. Apparently small group chats collabed to buyout all the full art trainers all at once. Then they can relist at double the value.
But they haven't. And ALL the FAs? At once? I doubt it was coordinated and not correlated to TBJ.
@@CNA-Games the buyouts i meant are the ones you described, girls and nostolgic ones. It seemed like a coordinated buyout because there was nothing that occured in the past week or 2 that sparked this (unless jake somehow caused the entire thing)
Nah it was just Jake's video online, Lillie full art from ultra prism was $80-$100 until that video gained traction, now the cheapest listed one is $290 less than two weeks later.
@@farmingsim9813 if that's true then props to him. He holds a lot of power lol
I have tons of these, but I love them and pulled them myself so I’m def not letting them go...
Thanks for the info! Was able to flip some waifu cards!
I was on board with the waifu tax until my jaw dropped when you said $290. That’s probably more than I’ll get for my Rainbow Charizard right now. Holy S***
Yeah it's wild.
I'm so sad to see the secret rares from cosmic eclipse blowing up. :( I've been just recently starting to try and get every one of the secret ("character") full art cards from there because I feel they are so beautiful and under rated.... But that is no longer the case, and that saddens me.
Yep.
Do you think these are a good idea to get graded?
They are good cards that will definitely be collectible, hard to know where they will settle as far as prices go though. If you are going to hold on to them anyways, you may as well.
I got special delivery pikachu last month for 80$ and I’m in shock at how it increased. Should I grade and sell it?
It would be crazy if someone had bought all the full art skylas on eBay like 2 years ago
Do y’all deliver to Europe on your website?
Can you bring up a video on the current prices for Special Delivery Pikachu because sheesh those are very high right now
Awesome Video and Much Love!!
They are trickling out their stock to keep prices rising imo. I bought a store’s only listing of a card and the next day they had another single card available.
Anything I post on my Instagram goes up in price 😞 I think it’s because the sets are not being printed or easy to find. You are right about the influence of the internet. I literally post a card in a claim sale, right after I sell, it doubles in price a few days later 🤦♂️
Luckily I have always loved FA Trainer's and have been collecting them for awhile, I always thought they were undervalued. Most of mine are in Japanese though.
good stuff man, and fyi im in the fa business now!
Everyone distracted with waifu cards makes it all the easier for me to collect my husbando cards hahaa ( Steven, N , Kiawah, N, Red (Ash) , Blue (Gary), etc etc lolllll
The textured full arts really are some prime cardboard. Definitely non-organic growth but I understand why the growth is happening despite being relatively modern and in theory accessible. I can see the market tanking when all the "investors" get their copies back from psa at the same time, but then again who knows. People really do love their cardboard, myself included.
Wish I had more full arts to unload but I just started collecting again!
The problem with waifus and cards like SD Pikachu (which is now $300+ wtf?) is that their market is being manipulated. The growth is inorganic, but now the supply and demand chain is messed up which leads to people actually buying at these prices, which could also lead to these prices staying high permanently. I was talking about this with people last night, but Pokemon is at a high, HIGH risk of turning towards a similar market outlook as sports cards where only the big players can truly play. And to me, that is a very scary thought.
All things settle to equilibrium. Inorganic growth rarely goes up and stays there. Interest will fall.
"Let's not scroll that low"....3 seconds later...scrolls back down LOL. On a more serious note. What a crazy time for Pokemon. I really wonder if COVID never happened if Pokemon still would be just sitting around everywhere.
Speaking as someone who recently got back into the hobby. The battle academy not long after sword and shield (first proper pokemon game on console) not that long after pokemon go...
Nostalgia for pokemom go brought a lot of people back, the switch game was bought for their children and the battle academy made everyone remember the cards.
The new interest in cards was fuelled even more because of lock down as people needed to do something to not go crazy.
Perfect storm. Covid was a multiplier, not the catalyst. Same goes for the "influencers".
"Influencers" is hilarious to me. They don't really influence anything, they simply see what is beginning to get popular and then jump on it. Well, they influence some of their followers but that's just basic advertising. They never instigated the growtj in pokemon though
Bruh, I noticed that too. XD
@@CNA-Games another great video. Refreshing to see some genuine honesty.
How is the Waifu Opal doing?
Nostalgia drives the price of Pokemin TCG FAR more than playability.
the prices were dead on all these so i sent them to PSA on a bulk submission and now im kicking myself for that
Why? Wont they be worth more if the grad3/ are any good when you get them back?
@@Dini6969 it’s on bulk so it won’t be back for 8+ months
@@BroPhotography ahh that’s a shame, hopefully market for them is still high when they come back I don’t see why they won’t be
Will the rosa full art ever go down in price? I feel like buying them now would be a stupid move.
Hard to know what any of those FAs will do from here on out. Common sense would say it will go down when playability is gone, but nothing is following logic at the moment.
@@CNA-Games I was thinking of the fact that a lot of Rosa FAs are probably in battledecks so once they arent played much anymore they will become more available but yh, at this time of day its really unpredictable.
NGL I snatched some full arts right after seeing Jakes vid :) holding cause stonks
Do you think it’s a good idea to get them graded ?
@@Dini6969 personally no - I like them to be accessible to more buyers even at potential profit loss
What you think of the rainbow rare trainers are they still overvalued?
They are more rare sure, but I think people would generally like the colored regular FA better.
@@CNA-Games what about the giovanni full art colour cards giovannis scheme and giovannis exile theyre still only sub 7 dollars each and its a very popular character my favourite in fact:)
You can't make me let them go!
They're my only friends :'(
The prices are nuts right now!
I'm only buying the cards I needed for my collection when I find them for reasonable prices.
I'm glad i got the big hitters before the hike!
People definitely are looking for the Nostalgic factor,I did buy a full art Misty's determination cgc 9 for 20 bucks and it was also a card I was looking for in my pc so I think its all depends about how you view the buys.
Another great video!
I think this is going to be a new baseline price for some of these cards since some aren’t easy to pull anymore. Full art trainer low pull rates were being over looked
There's still a ton of them out there. Still thousands in binders across the country.
@@CNA-Games then do you think the news of the full art trainer price increases has not hit the masses yet for them to realize to sell?
Speculation. People are buying to grade. Then to sell at a premium. Hence why the raw cards are sparse but the demand is high.
The new pokemon center lady is way better looking, thats why its more expensive.
I was looking on ebay and the prices are not nearly as high as what hes showing in the vid. Looks like you could win an auction for her for like 20-30 on ebay today.
It's true.
I recently started over last November. Found these full art trainers would be a good collection to make. Decided on collecting recently and boom....SPIKE! sigh
I bought so many of these FA trainers 4 days before the spike now all my cards are worth 3-4 times what I paid its insane
How about the special delivery pikachu spike? Seems like market manipulation. It was $80 a week ago and now it's over $300 ungraded
Pretty sure a PSA10 is selling for 9k on Ebay atm with bids on it. Insane

You was right. The problem is that you was not the only one thinking the exact same thing haha
I have a couple hundred FA trainers that are at psa. Sold off the 1s I still had in hand. Maybe others don't have them on hand either?
I strongly disagree. Many of these waifu cards (especially Lillie) are going to shoot up in the next few months. Hold on to them till at least summer time if you are interested in letting the waifus go. Long term who knows? 2k? 5K? (for Lillie)
I pulled Caitlin full art from Chilling Reign.. I’ll hang on to her but I might be too late for the hype train
For some reason gimley gone up a tiny bit since i pulled hmm weird. Was sure he was 9 or 6$ when pulled
It’s called buy groups. Go in buy up all of a card and control the price.
Purchased a marnie full art for $20 awhile back cause I knew she was gonna jump up in price
Wow yeah these prices are insane indeed but makes complete sense
After watching this video I went to my local shop and they sold me a near mint acerola for $16 and the lowest price on tcg rn is $61...until I list mine for $51
It took 1 RUclipsr to make a video on these cards and they blew up! Lol 😂
As someone who collects full art trainers and was trying to put together a complete set of them this really sucks I was trying to beat the crowd.
I bought a few misty's favors a while back because they seemed super cheap. Finally made a good purchase lol
I think a lot of people trying to get their nice ones graded, and we all know PSA ain't returning shit that isn't expedited shipping which you wouldn't do for a full art. There could also be secret discord groups buying out and selling slowly to make more money, but that seems a bit crazy to be happening literally everywhere across the country. It seems more likely that most people into Pokemon right now, also know about grading, and are sending these nice full art trainer cards to get graded because they see an average of $300 per card for most of these, and twice as much for the most popular ones. Just a thought.
Price point is crazy on a lot of things. Pika promos have shot up in the last week or so aswell spikes always trend after after certain yt vids

Curious of what you your definition of cheap is 😅
I bought this card (and have the 12 cosmic eclipse ones).
Shall we play higher or lower and see who got the better deal?
Start at 49...
So your telling me to sell my three regular Sonia full arts and I can buy a PSA 10 for what I basically paid $33 like 3-4 months ago.
the reason there aren't many sellers and mostly buyers is because there are massive buy-outs going on.
artificially making the supply seem low so the rise in demand "naturally" raises the prices. It's all market manipulation.
It’s all hype thats driving the prices up lol. I don’t see the price on the FA trainers going down anytime soon. The prices are being driven by all the new collectors and hypebeasts. These guys are here for the long run because there’s money in Pokémon. FA Trainers are definitely the new preferred chase card for all these new collectors and these new wave of collectors have a lot of money to spend and have no problem holding cards unfortunately
You didn't really cover the premium price a PSA 10 goes for... its alot. Full art marnies selling for $800 PSA 10
Jake's video really destroyed my chances of getting these lol. These prices are ridiculous. Also I agree it's freaky people love Lillie and Marnie so much, given they're literal children.
I remember when Giovanni Exile was under 2 dollars, now its market value is 67 lol.
Unfortunately, I’m not as optimistic. I don’t see prices going down for a lot of FA Trainers from sets no longer printed or more expensive sets. People are currently opening 200-300 booster boxes. No way they are going to sell rare cards at a much lower price. For people sitting on a lot of copies, they’ll probably sell at a lower price but still high if anyone decides to dump em into the market. Those will probably get bought out by multiple ppl that are interested due to the amount of exposure these cards are getting. Just my two cents. We’ll see what happens. Hobby is so big.
Also, just wait for Jake to show other full art trainers. He’s only shown a handful. So, yeah lol I’m still a fan of his channel regardless.
