“The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again.
But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked.
Don’t rejoice when your enemies fall;
don’t be happy when they stumble.
For the Lord will be displeased with you
and will turn his anger away from them.
Don’t fret because of evildoers;
don’t envy the wicked.”
Proverbs 24: 16-19 NLT
i have bought alot of different lights from this seller. he is very helpful and kind.
thanks for the video..
REALLY enjoy all your how-to Jimmy between you & Tom I may..get some of my R-Dean-O's working because of U-2 I'm all in for 22 .Merry Christmas buddy..
Jimmy what a wonderful Christmas upload you done. Thanks for sharing.
I got to say Jimmy.......You did a outstanding job my friend, you made china junk look "Great'. Bob
Very nice kitbashing job Jimmy! I will stick with using my guy on making mine, one less thing I have to focus on as I have too many projects going on at once....lol. - Jason
I really wasn't interested in operating signals until I saw a European Modular set up at a train show. Watching trains pass through a block and watching the signals change aspects was too cool!
Great video Jimmy. I don’t think I have enough patience yet to start dismantling scenery. But that looks like fun. ( rebuilding is where I get frustrated) I have to remember to walk away. Usually when I start something on my layout, I never know when to stop. Eventually I make a mistake and all my work gets messed up (ruined) I just need to say “ okay Dave, time for a break “
Thanks for sharing your skills.
Excellent how-to video! The silver coloring on signals is required by the FRA in the Code of Federal Regulations. There are very few exceptions to that; one that comes to mind is in the Columbia River Gorge where BNSF runs on the North side of the river, and UP on the South. There, all signal masts and associated appurtenances (signal boxes, for example) are painted brown. I'm not sure about crossing signals, my recollection is fuzzy on that one since I didn't run that Subdivision very much on the UP.
One prototypical thing to consider is the aiming of the signal heads. It is very important that your crews be able to see the signal aspect for the longest possible time. If your signal is on the departure end of a curve, then you want to aim the signal to the inside of the curve; not all the way, just enough to provide for maximum viewing. Also consider placement to the outside of a curve. It is OK to place a signal to the left side of the track as viewed by an approaching train. They key is for the crew to know that a signal is meant for them (especially if there are multiple tracks). Also, ensure that there is no vegetation between the signal and the viewing distance by an oncoming train. This is a possible violation of the CFR and FRA will impose a fine if not corrected.
Very well presented. I will store this link for when I'm ready.
thank you you are staying ahead of me
That eBay seller was making some exact scale HO scale searchlights for a while, but I notice none of them are available now. It's as if they were there, then gone. I'm hoping he will start making them in both HO and N scale, as I model both. I've actually put some of those Custom Finishing Searchlight kits together in N scale, but the biggest pain is threading those hair thin enameled wires down through a mast the size of a butterfly syringe.
Very nice trick Jimmy. I will look out for those signals
You have pretty much convinced me to get a 3D printer. Now all we have to do is convince my wife. Maybe I could get her interested in the jewellery making possibilities! Keep well and keep on giving ud great ideas.
Awesome videos as always abt "HOW TO DIY". Your channel has helped me out a lot when I question something on my h.o.scale layout I've just started in our new home. Have a question Jimmy. In my railroad room I'm creating I'm putting different pics that other RUclipsrs have sent me to hang after i frame them. Could you take a pic of your n scale layout and write the info on the back and sign it? Only reason I ask is because I'm a disabled Delawarian due to a hereditary nerve disease and don't get out much bcuz of it.
Genius!!! Thanks Jimmy!!!
Very nice upgrade. The only thing that I thought could have been better, would have been to put the box over the slot you cut out. Killing two birds with one stone.
Is there an ho scale version of that double signal that you shown? Because i love that kind of signal and i want that kind of signal of my own.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Thanks for the signal information. I think that the N scale signals look terrible. I am glad to see someone trying to improve them. I gave up waiting for BLMA and then Craig sold the company to Atlas and they never followed through on the signals. I do not buy any Atlas products as a result. Their “G” signal system is not compatible with other systems so it makes no sense to invest in DCC and then a separate signal system, besides I do not like G signals.
NJ international got n scale signals common anode
Jim you keep referring to descriptions below in your videos. But where is this description? I can't find any descriptions. Help please. Bob
That is cool Jimmy
Amazing job on the details! Just with the HO ones they sold were as cheap as the N scale.
question did you buy those 3d printed parts or did you make them if so i would love to get some off of you if you are willing to sell me some
Why did you not extend the mast with a brass sleeve, may be just a bit larger then the original pole, allowing for adjustments to height.
So I actually thought about it, but the wires have resistors soldered into them and they would not fit through the sleeve.
Hi and many thanks for this video!. Do you have some tips for printing these signal bridges on a filament printer?
Are you printing in HO or N?
@@DIYDigitalRailroad I am working in TT scale so in between both...
Please make a video to demonstrate how to use these signals with arduino for scieser crossing
A great how to J.🚂🇨🇦🇺🇲
I have always had trouble finding n scale signals. Besides eBay, where else can I find n scale signals?
good vid
