I moved to Norman Road in St. Leonnrds-on-Sea twenty-three years ago when nobody wanted to live there and back then I had to go into Hastings to get a cup of coffee, there were no cafes in SLOS. Now there are dozens of cafes, bars and restaurants all within two hundred meters of my house and Norman Road is one of the best know streets in town with half a dozen art galleries, some antique shops etc. and four restaurant/cafe/.bars,. Never regreted moving here.
I remember my Mum lived there in the mid 90’s, and I remember it being a bit run down, with no decent bars or cafes. I’ve not been there for about 20 years, it looks amazing now.
This location looks very much like as if Brighton and Cornwall was merged together - this is definitely one for the bucket list I love the trip hop music - really resonates with the vibe of this video ✌
I have lived here since 1981 and it is a vibrant and interesting place to live. You have reflected very well its chameleon-like qualities, and since you made the video, I think that it has got even better.
Thank you! It's so cool there, it literally is like another remix of Bighton only with a lot more regency architecture in it. There are so many tiny little shops some of which sell locally made perfume, etc
I love this! Used to go a lot when I was younger. Friends had a hotel in Warrior Square called Hampden House Hotel. I remember seeing the Guiness Clock which was on the prom, and seeing the Hovercraft. Thanks for some lovely memories.
So lovely 🥰 to see you make a great video showing, the town centre, all of the broadens around it and best of all great camera skills used to make it. Just not keen on the thumbnail as I feel the writing on it could be a touch bigger but I just love the video. Maybe one day we could make a video together. Keep up the good work.
Thank you for your detailed comments, I really appreciate those! Thumbnails are interesting, sometimes they do wonders sometimes they don't - I feel that the overall look of the channel is gradually settling and there will be more balanced thumbnails
Thank you for your kind words! I am really touched! My wife and I will stay after Brexit. I have no idea what changes the Brexit will bring about.. it’s so confusing
This town looks like it has quite a population but I never heard of it before today. Looks like some expensive housing. The beach looks pleasant but I think Doc Martin's town is a little more my style.
This town used to be the place for very rich people in Victorian Times when spending holidays by the sea was beginning to be the trend. Now the town have almost joined Hastings because it grew so much over the last 100 years. To the point that you could park in Hastings and walk there. Its would probably take 15-20 minutes or so. What is the Doc Martin's town?

I just moved here..and it’s even better in real life! Art and music scene especially and a must for sea swimming enthusiasts!

I enjoyed your film a lot. Thank you.
Thank you:)
Everything looks well looked after and clean..
People are proud ..good job, people appreciate charm and character.
Thank you! We loved it there. It has a flavour of it’s own: not like Hashtags and not like Brighton
You probably decided to create an encyclopaedia of the coastal towns, villages and resorts! - Thank you for this video - beautiful as usual!
Not the encyclopaedia for sure! Just want to visit more unique places!
@@mikebogatyrev3058, I see.... :)

Lived in St Margarets Terrace in the mid 80’s before moving away!
Wow! What was it like living there?
Beautifully done Mike. ! Not sure where you're from but
I hope you decided to stay in UK after Brexit.
We need people like you .

Has a nice vibe, almost like San Fransisco.

@@mikebogatyrev3058 It's a really wonderful place to live 😊. I assume by Doc Martins town he means Port Isaac where Doc Martin was filmed.
thank you so much
It’s a pleasure!
Hi, music shows as “picnic” but when I search that song it’s different. I wonder if it has a different name? Thanks!
Hi, there is no soundtrack that's called picnic: I use music from RUclips Audio library
The title track is called "anywhere you go"
would be great without music but with the natural sounds of the area
That’s a different approach to what I normally do but I will be using the natural sounds of the places more in my next videos
@@mikebogatyrev3058 look forward to it! :)
Try going to the old town all saints st Hastings there's a house whst was called the tte counts and the police on
Nice video - appalling "music"
Music is always a personal thing: there will always be someone who likes it and someone who doesn’t
A bit too colorful in some parts...
