It would be nice vasega could come to the big island of Hawaii an bring the language back to a lot of the modernized Polynesians who have lost there native tongue. The Samoan language is a beautiful language. To me is easier than learning Hawaiian. Manu ia le aso Tofa soifua. Aganu’u Fa’aSamoa

I came across this as I was looking for ideas, on how to write a script in Samoan for Unitec Samoan Language Week celebration. My cousin Uati Lilomaiava, wow! I thought I was fluent in Samoan and understand the language until I had to write it. It's not easy, but agree our Samoa culture is very unique and beautiful and we all ought to live and understand it. Thanks for this.

This makes me happy and proud of my people who lost their ancestry of old to have ignited the flames of history to never be lost in the dark and now can be forever remembered in the light.
My self included have lost my roots and I carry an ember in my soul that’s waiting to be ignited to a bursting flame that my ancestors in heaven can see.....ua e fea Shakespeare so’o..😂..I don’t even know if I spelled that right.lol..I thank the people of Aganu’u Fa’asamoa and what they do.💯

I wish this Vasega can come to California! I am an american born & raised but always been proud of my culture. Unfortunately like many Samoans born & raised in Amelika our parents failed to raise us in our native tongue. Us Samoans here in America Long to learn the language. I understand the language well & can speak the basics, e le lelei lo'u faasamoa! laikiki! e malamalama, e le fluent! So when I speak I try my best! But I tend to speak afe (afa?) igigisi, afe kala samoa hope I said that right? 😂 I can throw down but only when my samoan wants too, the most part my brain freezes & I get stuck! My parents & friends say Im good but I dont think so! Faamolemole aumai i California ma fai se vasega i, ma fai se aoga to teach us americans the language & culture! pls aua ke popole fua or aua ke atamai ma make fun bc im trying my best 😂 Pls faasa'o mai and correct me lol. God bless u Samoa 101 u guys are awesome! Faamanuia le atua!

singer jin or ask your parents. If it's that important to you then there is no excuse in you learning our language. All the best to you.

AreLL I do! they help me but eh! then they still speak to me in english. I always tell them to speak to me in Samoan..I guess I have to be consistent with them. But even our parents are too accustom to speakin in english to us..My dad helps but his way of teachin is soooo loooong lol. He explains and lectures like 1 hr over 1 word lol. I like this program and wish we had one out here. There's progams in churches that teach the language but not in my area..

I didn't realise that so many Samoans born outside of Samoa can't speak Samoan. I always thought that Samoans were strong in that department, unlike us Maori.
