i still dont get why instructors speak to them in english...? kinda defeats the whole purpose of learning samoan..

Not many born outside of Samoa understand Samoan fully & the reason why many of our elders do what they do, actually the tutors speak in both english & samoan so students can fully understand different parts of our Samoan culture & its only a 6 day programme and given limited time due to not much funding. There are different stages to the programme, this is just the beginning.
