Nice explanation for the younger generators. It can be much more complicated than that but the principles are explained here. One side goes to present to the other side, and the other side reciprocates either on the day or on another day. Personally, I think they should cut out all money and palapala malo from these presentations and just leave it at fine mats. Cheaper for everyone involved.
