Very beautiful. Thank you for sharing. The grandma at the end is by far the best part, explaing the respect given to the sister from the brother. Absolutely beautiful
Faafetai lava, Vaasiliifiti. You are as graceful and gracious as ever. And your teaching your children when young to entertain before guests is still recalled with appreciation. Malo Lava!
Proud to be a Samoan taualuga taupou very beautiful I'm a strong teine Samoa who also has a malu done in Samoa by Suluape was a very humbling experience and love my culture.
That last part tho. I agree with some on here. Not a Samoan culture thing. Ppl added it in the taualuga but stepping on a man is a no no in our culture. Ppl in America do it not in Samoa.
yes agreeing with you in the old days The Taupou and Manaia that is her brother, so regardless who is aiuli she does not put her foot on him. A big no no. who changed it?
Apparently the red head dress is to honour the red hair giants from 1000's of years ago - perhaps at the conclusion of war. Remembering these giants existed through tradition and this dance. Modern day archaeologists talk about red haired giants in the Americas (red hair giants found in caves), Afghanistan (giants of Kandahar), Rapanui / Easter Island. Apparently Jacob Roegenveen (David Wilcock explains) saw red haired giants on Rapanui when he landed on Easter Island in 1600's. They were working in unison with the polynesians of the island, but turned upset when the Europeans showed up.
If you're talking about Gabi Plumms claims on her documentary it is very flawed. She based her theory of a Samoan cultural item from a story told of in Kiribati history (A country almost 1000km away to the north), even in the video you can see her reading a book in I-Kiribati a.k.a Gilbert Islands when she mentiones Batuku. She is on the right track but she should really cross examine her external sources (Kiribati) with local sources (Samoan) before she features them on a video.
Also interested in the giant connection but what I'm really interested in is this \|/ part of the headpiece anyone know what it means? \|/ top of the headpiece
Thats crazy. My mom is also from Siumu- Va'asiliifiti Fa'alagilagi, Tofaeono Family. I see alot of misinformation in this clip. Also the stepping on you're brother or any man's back is No and Disrespect.
Yep! No one should even be near the taupou in respects to the Va! The OGs at our family reunion scolded us youngins on that not being FaaSamoa and become synonymous with our culture since being in America when traditionally diving on the floor and dog piling ain’t the way!💯💯

That was the best memory of Samoa 🇼🇸 Way and the mostly beautiful culture 👌 ❤️ ♥️ 👏 ❤. Talofa Talofa lava Samoa 🇼🇸
Long story short the taualunga originated in samoa. Can't have other islanders coming on here claiming it.
Taualuga not Taualunga
So true very proud to be a Samoan female growing up in NZ
No ones claiming it.
who's claiming it?
Taualuga - spell it correctly.
Proud to be SAMOAN! !!!!!! Alofa atu ia te outou uma!!!!! SAMOA MONI😎
Beautiful culture and graceful taupoou, love it all❤️🌺❤️
A'e.. that ending ruined this. Teu le vā. Every taupou must know this, for her to put her feet on the aiuli shows otherwise.
i was surprised to see that also.
Full documentary is on their website. Link in bio
She has a malu, she is allowed to do it hence the reason she lifted her ie and showed her malu
Facts uce
I dont agree with stepping either
Yes y'all should repost this doing graduation season 💀
Talofa e, rest in love and in peace Va'asilifiti Moelagi. Alofaaga,
That last part tho. I agree with some on here. Not a Samoan culture thing. Ppl added it in the taualuga but stepping on a man is a no no in our culture. Ppl in America do it not in Samoa.
yes agreeing with you

People in America do it because they don't have the proper knowledge of the Siva Samoa.
My mother was the taupo in those days. Family Namulauulu Matamua.

That's why we are so big.

could you please state what was wrong in this documentary??
Yep! No one should even be near the taupou in respects to the Va! The OGs at our family reunion scolded us youngins on that not being FaaSamoa and become synonymous with our culture since being in America when traditionally diving on the floor and dog piling ain’t the way!💯💯
U cant do what she did at the end. Disrespectful.
Some Malaga girls are doing well taualuga 😂😂 I wanted to met her in Samoa 😁😁
Malo le faasoa, e aoga lava lesona e aoaoina ai le lumanai o le siva.
💯💯💯
So I will basically have to wear it if I marry in to a Samoan family ?
wear what?
🇼🇸🇼🇸🇼🇸🇼🇸
So what if they put there feet on aiuli it's to show status I couldn't disagree with that. Coming from a Samoan!
Disrepectful im going to correct ppl when i see it
But you're wrong. It is not a part of the Samoan culture/Siva Samoa. It is deemed disrespectful and is forbidden.
Why Samoans acting like they created this . Ufa
