This must've been the year where they had a mega cast. I can almost hear the seam in the music where it's extended.I can't imagine a show letting credits run this long nowadays and cutting into valuable ad revenue time.
Diahann Carroll...RIP...she held her own with no visible struggles on her lovely face...she was bringin' diversity on up in Denver COLORado before it was even a catchphrase.
Terri Garber was in her own way to Dynasty what Jennilee Harrison was to Dallas as the Long Lost Relative who felt she had some sort of entitlement and be part of The Family. Of course it didn't happen. She should have talked to Kirby (Joseph's Daughter) who found that out the hard way especially when she was married to Jeff Colby.

1986-1987 season 7 The year I stopped watching. I wanted to but life got in the way and I didn’t have a VCR. I did keep up with it through Soap Opera Digest, but it’s not the same as watching.
This was one of the lamest seasons for stars who had hit shows or movies before this and given crap characters. Leann Hunley was given a thankless role after many years on Days of Our Lives, Terri Garber as Ashton in the North and South mini series was amazing but this role of Leslie stunk to high heaven. Cassie Yates in many movies and tv series as guest stars gets a role that reminded me somewhat of Claudia and was not necessary. Ted McGinley of Love Boat role doing this really never made any sense. This is when I started to skip watching. Once they wrote out Diahann Carroll and Pamela Bellwood and made Sammy Jo a nice lady it was time to vamoose and watch other things.
Good intentions with the video. Just one piece of advice for your future videos… Use a person who can speak the English language properly and pronouns the words correctly.
At this time Dynasty was out the top 20. And Dallas was 9. In 2 years Dynasty lost a big audience probably because the stupid storylines and the spinoff The Colbys.
Thats true. Season 5 was nb.1 and Season 6 nb.7. and Season 7 down to 25 like the first Season. I'm from Germany....Dynasty ( der Denver Clan ) was a huge Hit to in Germany. I like Spellings Soaps Dynasty..Melrose Place..many many years trash TV but I love it. Its so funny to see the 80s/90s Spelling Gay storylines. OMG.
I think 2 - 6 and 9 is the best of Dynasty and I've watched it all several times. The first half of 6 is a bit dumb but entertaining. The second half of 6 is amazing.

Seasons 1-5, each version of the opening was so different. Seasons 6 - 9, basically the same version of the theme.
